SAMUEL LEVINE, 89, of the Rossmoor adult community, Monroe, died Oct. 17 at home. His wife, Sally, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Elise Kaye of Marlboro; a son, Barry Levine of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Irma Beitelman of Rockville Centre, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Interment
was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge.
ROBERT JOHN SCHETRUMPF, 88, of Spotswood, formerly of South River and Howell, died Oct. 15 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1972, he was employed as assistant superintendent of Colonial Village/Taylor Avenue Apartments, East Brunswick, where he worked for four years. Before that, he worked for Rutgers Commons, New Brunswick. His wife, Anna Catherine Klase Schetrumpf, died in 1988. Surviving are four daughters, Barbara A. Schmidt of Spotswood, Sandra L. Mariano of South River and Norma L. Davison of Howell; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, the Rev. Kenneth Haupt officiating. Interment

HELEN S. GURGUL, 86, of Sayreville died Oct. 15 in Applegarth Care Center, Monroe. Prior to her retirement in 1972, she was employed for 30 years as a cafeteria manager with the Sayreville Board of Education. Her husband, John Gurgul, died in 1953. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Mary Albrecht of Huntersville, N.C.; a son, Dennis J. Gurgul of Newton, Mass.; and two sisters, Pearl Thomar of Atlantic Highlands and Nancy Krenzel of the Parlin section of Sayreville. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
ALBERT J. LE DONNE, 70, of Sayreville died Oct. 17 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His first wife, Marie Le Donne, died in 1962. Surviving are his wife, Nicoletta Picazio Le Donne; three sons, Anthony J. of Greentown, Pa., Gerald of Millstone and Albert J. II of the Parlin section of Sayreville; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Whitaker of Plumsted, Annette Le Donne of Sayreville, Toni-Ann Cary of Helmetta and Maria Le Donne of Parlin; a sister, Marguerite Wilkowski of Bayonne; a brother, Patrick Le Donne, also of Bayonne; and 10 grandchildren. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with a Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Hoboken. Interment
was in Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen.
FRANCIS X. DOERR III, 62, of Milltown died Nov. 17 at home. A current member of the executive board of the Milltown Democratic Organization, he was a past Democratic committeeman in Milltown, a former Democratic Election Board poll worker and a member of the Milltown Democratic Social Club. Surviving are his mother, Helen Wright Doerr of Milltown; a brother, James H. Doerr of New York City; and several cousins and uncles. Services were arranged by Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown, with a funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, P.O. JEAN UTLEY DRANSFIELD, 74, of Milltown died Nov. 11 at home. Her husband, Lawrence Dransfield, a former mayor of Milltown, died in 1998. Surviving are a son, Michael Dransfield of Wall; a daughter, Leslie Toolin of East Brunswick; a brother, David Utley of England; and two grandsons. JEANNETTE GIRARD, 81, of Milltown died Nov. 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. A son, Robert Girard, died in 1999. MELVIN J. GOLDENBERG, 67, of Albuquerque, N.M. died Nov. 15 in Albuquerque. Surviving are a daughter, Lynne Weinstein of East Brunswick; a son, Steven Goldenberg of North Brunswick; a brother, Lawrence Goldenberg of Lakewood; and four grandchildren.
