FRANK SCHABLEIN, 95, of Old Bridge died Nov. 16 in Old Bridge Manor. His wife, Katherine Delaney Schablein, died in 1996. Surviving are a son, Daniel Schablein of Virginia; two daughters, Patricia Sullivan of the Morganville section of Marlboro and Kathleen Lukach of Old Bridge; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
HELEN GRACE CARMODY LACOVARA, 81, of Old Bridge died Nov. 19 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was active in Old Bridge municipal government. Surviving are a son, Peter M. Lacovara of Upper Saddle River; a sister, Mary Funderburke of Old Bridge; and a grandson. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass planned for Nov. 22 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment
will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
LUCY CARLO CARDONE, 79, of Monroe died Dec. 16 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, James, died in 1995. Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Lawnik and Roseanne Taylor, both of Spotswood; a son, the Very Rev. James Cardone Jr., dean of the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, N.Y.; a sister, Nancy Patullo of Bloomsbury; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass planned for Dec. 20 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. BENJAMIN J. ROVILLOS, 36, of South River died Dec. 13 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Ellen Hoyberg Rovillos; three daughters, Maryellen, Allison and Samantha, all at home; his father, Benigno Rovillos of Vineland; and a sister, Theresa Edmonds, also of Vineland. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Cremation was private.
VEOLUNTA CANNON WALLING, 86, of South River died Dec. 15 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Willard W. Walling, died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Unkel of Clifton, Va., and Nancy Walling of South River. IRENE T. CANAZARO, 77, of East Brunswick died Dec. 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Charles S. Canazaro Sr., died in 1988, and a son, Charles S. Canazaro Jr., died in 1998. Surviving are three sons, Donald Tomminelli of Monroe, Vincent Tomminelli of Florida and Joseph Canazaro of Old Bridge; two daughters, Joyce Bilderback of South Brunswick and Patricia Deene of Florida; a brother, Stephen Chaplin of Florida; a sister, Helen Christ of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. ANTHONY P. DeBARO, 57, of Edison died Dec. 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by a son, Shane. Surviving are his wife, Joan E. Lorincz DeBaro; a son, Glenn Parker Martin of Hamilton; three daughters, Juniemalie Molano of Centralville, Va., Deborah Myer of East Brunswick and Tammy DeBaro of Bedminster; and five grandchildren.
