JOHN "JACK" JEPSEN, 83, of South River died Aug. 20 at home. Surviving are his wife, Laura Besecker Jepsen; a son, John William Jepsen of Oxford Township; a brother, Richard Jepsen of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge; three sisters, Harriet Pesetsky of South River, Winifred Bacsu of Colts Neck and Geraldine Tabacznski of Laurence Harbor; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, with a Mass at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Jersey Hospice, c/o Development Office, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank 07701.

ANTON V. KRUSZYNSKI, 96, of Old Bridge died Aug. 20 in the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. His wife, Josephine Kosminski Kruszynski, died in 1997, and a son, Kenneth, died in 1966. Surviving are a son, Donald J. of East Brunswick; a daughter, Barbara Curran of LaMirada, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Staten Island, N.Y. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Church Home, 1990 Route 18, Old Bridge 08857, or to Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, 1 Roosevelt Drive, Edison 08837.

JOHN P. MISKELL, 54, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Aug. 29 at home. Surviving are his wife, Janet Tomas Miskell; two sons, John P. Jr. of East Brunswick and Darren of Parlin; a daughter, Michele DeFilippo of South River; his mother, Veronica Goetz Miskell of Sayreville; and a sister, Patricia Gers of Parlin. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, 303 George St., New Brunswick 08901.

SALVATORE PILATO, 69, of Sayreville died Aug. 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. A daughter, Margaret, died in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Anne Burke Pilato; two sons, Thomas and James of Sayreville; two daughters, Cathleen Cuches of East Brunswick and Laura Josselyn of Woodbridge; and four grandchildren. Services were arranged by Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.

ELAINE SHEEHAN BARANEK, 43, of East Brunswick died Aug. 30 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Baranek; two sons, Jeffrey Baranek and Ian Baranek, both at home; and a brother, Douglas Sheehan of New Brunswick. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Forest Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.

JOHN W. O’CONNELL, 57, of East Brunswick died July 17 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Vicki; a son, Michael Patricia of Cedar Grove; a daughter, Meghan Eileen of Highland Park; a brother, William John of California; and one grandson. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Irish Children’s Christmas Fund, 1308 Centennial Ave., Piscataway 08853.

ANN CHERNIAK DWYER, 87, of South River died July 21 at her daughter’s home in Helmetta. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Ann Sulkowski of Helmetta; two sons, Joseph Dwyer of Columbia, Md., and John Dwyer of South River; four sisters, Jenny O’Hare of Lakehurst, Alice Bjornsson of Freehold, Mary Ward of Annandale and Emma Kucyk of Wyandotte, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services are planned for July 26 at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association of Central Jersey Hospice, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank 07701.

ANNA WASILEWSKI KWIATKOWSKI, 85, of South River died July 24 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, John Kwiatkowski; a son, William Kwiatkowski; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass planned for July 27 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

ANNA ALBERT COLE, 71, of East Brunswick died July 16 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Charles Cole, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Charles A. Cole of Canton, N.Y.; four daughters, Karen Martin of Gouverneur, N.Y., Linda Steimling of the Ringoes section of East Amwell, Diane Morville of East Brunswick and Patricia Sowa of Princeton; and 13 grandchildren. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

MORRIS SCHLECTER, 89, of Cranbury, formerly of South River, died July 17 in Elizabethtown Community Hospital. His wife, Rose Dabrowsky Schlecter, died in April. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a graveside service at Congregation Anshe Emeth Cemetery, East Brunswick.
