DR. HAROLD V. CANO, 79, of Spotswood died April 13 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He established a private practice as a family physician in Spotswood in 1949. The Spotswood Police Department surgeon and the Borough of Spotswood physician for 39 years, he also served as school physician for the public and parochial schools in the borough for many years. He retired from active practice in 1988. Surviving are his wife, Florence Mason Cano; two sons, Richard of Olney, Md., and David of Spotswood; three daughters, Judy Butera of Yardley, Pa., Nancy Cano of Spotswood and Barbara Carroll of Vale, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with services at Spotswood Reformed Church. Interment

WILLIAM JAMES BARNHART, 37, of South River died April 10 at home. Surviving are a son, Brian William Barnhart of Old Bridge; his mother, Patricia Reho Barnhart of South River; his father, William R. Barnhart of Sayreville; a brother, Eric Barnhart of South River; a sister, Diane Barnhart of South River; a stepbrother, Keith Barnhart of Sayreville; a stepsister, Kimberly Barnhart of Sayreville; and his maternal grandmother, Julia Reho of South River. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment

ANGELA BUOSI, 92, of South River, formerly of Old Bridge, died April 8 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugenio Ruzzin. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kobylinski of Old Bridge; a sister, Maria Baldin of Cagliari, Italy; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
LOREN H. HUMMELL, 75, of Sayreville died April 11 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Leona Lutz Hummell; three daughters, Lorraine Rock of Monroe, Linda Hummell of Fairless Hills, Pa., and Louann Bara of Sayreville; five brothers, Ben of Texas, Eugene of Maryland, Cleveland of Florida and Frank and Harry, both of Pennsylvania; four sisters, Flora Rittenhouse, Charlotte Scott, Hanna Frantz and Lorna Jones, all of Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment
was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
JANET HALBERT, 83, of Sayreville died April 8 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. A son, James W. Halbert Jr., died in 1978. Surviving are a son, George of Old Bridge; two daughters, Janice Grande of Hazlet and June Wingerter of Old Bridge; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with services at Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Interment

JOHN NAPOLI, 95, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 8 in McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. His wife, Anna Nemchick Napoli, died in March. GEORGE P. WRANOVICS, 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 11 at home. Surviving are his wife, Adeline "Dolly" Orlando Wranovics; a daughter, Patricia L. Kulas of Old Bridge; a son, Robert J. Wranovics of the Dayton section of South Brunswick; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. Services were arranged by Carmen F. FRANK BECK, 66, of DeBary, Fla., formerly of Sayreville, died Feb. 5 in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Mae; a son, Douglas; two daughters, Monica Caputo and Jennifer Beck; four sisters, Rita deVries, Helen Hardy, Veronica Mastenbrook and Mary Ann Koester; and eight grandchildren. Local arrangements were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a memorial Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville.
FREDRICK BUONANO, 83, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, died April 5 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Red Bank, he had resided in Middletown before moving to Morganville nine years ago. Mr. Buonano was the owner and operator of Buonano’s Store, Red Bank, for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was a communicant of St. Clement’s R.C. Church, Matawan. Mr. Buonano was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Bucco) Buonano; his son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Jean Buonano of Keyport; two sisters, Anne Maher of Monmouth Beach and Helen Vitrano of Howell; and one granddaughter. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Clement’s Church, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
MICHAEL J. CAFARELLA, 42, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge died April 4 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are three brothers, John and Joseph, both of the Parlin section Sayreville, and Robert of Sayreville; three sisters, Donna Raymond of Englishtown, Lorraine Leonard of Denville and Barbara Iovino of Sayreville; and many nieces and nephews.
