THEODORE DUSZCZAK, 85, of Matawan died April 3 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Belleville, he lived in Newark for 10 years before moving to Matawan where he lived most of his life. He was a wireman and technician at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, until 1979. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 0448, Bloomfield; a member of the Blue Ghost, USS Lexington, CV-16. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the National Council of Senior Citizens, Silver Springs, Md., and the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Freehold. He was predeceased by his first two wives. Surviving is his wife, Normaline Dempster Duszczak; one son, Richard Sr. of Aberdeen; five stepsons, Damien of Birmingham, England, and Sean, Roger, Kevin and Rasheed, all of Matawan; two sisters, Helen Mazza of Miami, Fla., and Adelle Duszczak of Flanders; and one grandson, Richard Jr., of Red Bank. Services were under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Iselin.

DOROTHY GARDENER TREOLA, 90, of Staten Island, N.Y., died April 9 at home. Born in Queens, N.Y., she lived in Brooklyn and Keansburg. Mrs. Treola was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Treola, in 1987. Surviving are her two sons, John Treola of Middletown, and Thomas Treola of Staten Island; and eight grandchildren. Services were under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, with a Mass at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

JOHN A. NOBILE, 78, of Hazlet died April 3 at home. Born in Jersey City, he moved to Hazlet 43 years ago. He worked as a truck driver for Borden’s Milk Co., Jersey City, for 25 years and later as a custodian for Raritan High School, Hazlet. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was in the 69th division and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann J. Nobile, in 1980, and his daughter, Anita Staton, in 1997. Surviving are three sons, Philip Nobile of West Keansburg, Thomas Nobile of Hazlet and Robert Nobile of Middletown; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

ELIZABETH K. BECKER McGOWAN, 83, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died April 4 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Morganville section of Marlboro, she lived in Union Beach before moving to Port Monmouth, 20 years ago. She worked for Lavoie Laboratories, Morganville, during the 1960s until her retirement. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was a member of the Union Beach Seniors and a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas McGowan, in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Thomas McGowan of Union Beach and William McGowan of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Elizabeth Winkelman, of the South Toms River section of Dover; one sister, Florence Crine of Freneau; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at Holy Family Church. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

CAROLYN VANDERBILT LARKIN, 72, of Aberdeen died April 7 at home. Born in Albany, N.Y., she lived in Clifton before moving to Aberdeen 37 years ago. She worked as a nursing home administrator for Manor Nursing, Matawan, retiring in 1993. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Vincent Stewart; a son, Vincent of Jersey City; two daughters, Nancy of Morganville and Kathy of West Keansburg; and one granddaughter, Jeni Elizabeth Larkin of West Keansburg. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Matawan, and Bayshore Hospital Auxiliary of Holmdel. She was a Russell Sage College alumna. She was a "gray lady" volunteer at New York Hospital in the 1950s, and volunteered in public service, a home friends’ service and transportation program in the 1990s. Services were under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home Inc., Middletown. Interment was at Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to National Brain Tumor Foundation Memorial Program, 414 13 St., Suite 700, Oakland, CA.

VIRGINIA A. CASAMASINO, 82, of Seaside Heights died March 30 in Community Medical Center, Toms River section of Dover. Her first husband, Theodore Colterelli, died in 1968. Surviving are her husband, Samuel P.; two sons, Claude Colterelli of Edison and Theodore Colterelli of Middletown; a daughter, Rosalind McBride of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a sister, Theresa Besante of Seaside Heights; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with a Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

MARY P. GALANO KLOCKO, 36, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died on April 6 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne until moving to Leonardo nine years ago. She was an executive assistant for B.K. Urban Renewal Co., Hoboken, for five years until 1991. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands, and a member of the Leonardo School PTA. She was valedictorian at Sacred Heart Academy, Hoboken, class of 1981. Surviving are her husband, Anthony; her mother, Mary Galano; two daughters, Elizabeth Klocko and Lindsay Klocko, both of Leonardo; a son, Zachary Klocko of Leonardo; two brothers, Michael Galano of Middletown and Joseph Galano of Bayonne; and one sister, Elizabeth Eckhardt of Colonia. Services were under the direction of The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, with a Mass at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.

OLGA A. BLANKEN, 84, of Matawan died April 9 at home. Born in New York City, she lived in Roselle Park before moving to Matawan 53 years ago. She was an administrative secretary for the Old Bridge Board of Education, Old Bridge for 20 years, retiring 20 years ago. She was a member of the Professional Woman’s Club of Old Bridge. She is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Louis and her son, David Lee of Tokyo, Japan. Services were under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville. Interment was at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Central Jersey Chapter, 12 Roszel Road, Suite C 201, Princeton, NJ 08540.

PETER INSALACO, 94, of Toms River died March 31 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Sicily, he had lived in Pleasant Plains, Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Toms River 18 years ago. Mr. Insalaco was employed as an engineer and plumber for St. George Borough Hall, Staten Island, for 20 years, retiring in 1969. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Beatrice (Lentini) Insalaco; two sons, Louis of the Morganville section of Marlboro, and Joseph of Great Kills, Staten Island; two sisters, Maria Paci of Astoria, Queens, N.Y., and Sarina Lombardi of Castrosillipo, Sicily; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, Marlboro, followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. The Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, was in charge of arrangements.
