DOROTHY "DOTTIE" ROJEWSKI PREMAKO, 74, of Sayreville died Aug. 25 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Leah Scherer. Surviving are her husband, Frank J. Premako; a son, Robert Premako of Blairstown; two daughters, Pat Baczkowski of the Roebling section of Florence and Susan Scherer of Glen Gardner; a brother, Edward Rojewski of St. Joseph, Mo.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
THEOPHIL "PHIL" WISNIEWSKI, 82, of Sayreville died Aug. 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Wojtkielewicz Wisniewski; three sons, Thomas of Union, Dan of Lansdale, Pa., and Mark of Doylestown, Pa.; a brother, Andrew Wisniewski of the Parlin section of Sayreville; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment
was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
FAYE LOUISE JACKSON, 75, of East Brunswick died Aug. 23 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Howard, died in 1982. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Ambroziak of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Susan Lymber of Atlanta; and three grandchildren. Interment
was private.
MICHAEL EDWARD MAREK, 64, of Red Bank, formerly of South River, died Aug. 20 in JFK Medical Center, Cherry Hill. Surviving are his brother, John Marek of Santa Maria, Calif.; two sisters, Marion Plaza of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Marsha Nizolek of Sayreville; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment
was in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.
HAROLD FRANCIS MEISSNER, 86, of South River died Aug. 26 in the Masonic Home, Burlington. He owned and operated Harold’s Amoco service station in South River for 32 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Meissner; a son, Harold Meissner Jr. of Jamesburg; two sisters, Gertrude Jessen of the Fords section of Woodbridge and Mildred Meissner of Surf City; two brothers, Frank Meissner of Ship Bottom and Edwin Meissner of East Brunswick; and three grandchildren. Interment
is planned for Aug. 30 in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
JOHN F. SAVARESE JR., 76, of Spotswood, formerly of East Brunswick, died Aug. 25 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Kapuscinski Savarese; two sons, John F. III of Spotswood and Douglas of Old Bridge; a daughter, Diane Cuperwich of East Brunswick; a brother, Robert of Roselle; a sister, Mary Ticken of Seminole, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. MARGUERITE H. COLANGELO, 62, of Jackson, formerly of Hazlet, died Sept. 20 at home. Surviving are her husband, William Colangelo; three sons, William M. Colangelo, David W. Colangelo and Mark J. Colangelo, all of Jackson; two daughters, Marguerite H. Weinrich and Patricia M. Colangelo, both of Jackson; two brothers, Edwin C. Conselyea of Keansburg and Eugene Conselyea of Sayreville; two sisters, Helen Murano of South Carolina and Marie Hrabar of the Toms River section of Dover; and 11 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Holy Family Church, Union Beach.
ELIN BACKSTROM HOLM, 92, of Sayreville died Sept. 20 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Henry Holm, died in 1983. Surviving are a daughter, Sonia Iglesias, with whom she lived; a granddaughter; two nephews; and a niece. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Trade Center Firemen and Police Relief Fund.
EMILY ANNE MARSHALL, 3, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Sept. 22 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her parents, Gina and Russell Marshall of Parlin; a brother, Daniel Gregory Marshall; her maternal grandparents, Marilyn and James Gregory of Pennsylvania; and her paternal grandparents, Mary and Ronald of Queens, N.Y.
