KATHERINE W. MALONE, 86, of Matawan died Aug. 23 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Rockaway, she lived in Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y., prior to moving to Matawan eight years ago. She was a school aide for the New York City School System for 35 years, retiring in 1991. She was predeceased by her husband, William Malone. She is survived by four daughters, Alice Pospischil of Matawan, Grace Malone of Staten Island, N.Y., Katherine Bosan of Chicago, and Florence Martinez of Queens; her brother, James Hosking of Canada; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
WILLIAM P. TILTON, 55, of Tinton Falls died Aug. 24 at home. Born in Queens, N.Y., he lived in Middletown prior to moving to Tinton Falls two years ago. He was a retired technician for Verizon, New York City, for 25 years. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Era. His hobbies included baseball and he was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was predeceased by his father, Parker Tilton. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Margillo Tilton of Tinton Falls; his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Frank Mangano of Middletown; his mother, Viola Tilton; his brother, Harvey Tilton; three sisters, Leah Brennan, Mary Ellen Conlon, and Oleta Perotti; and one granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment
was at New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section North Hanover.
DOROTHY LANDI LEGAGNEUX, 76, of South River died Aug. 19 in Old Bridge Manor. Surviving are her husband, Eugene G. Legagneux; two daughters, Laura Callo of South Brunswick and Kathleen Fuzy of South River; a brother, James Landi of Forest Hills, N.Y.; a sister, Rose Kawi of Manhasset, N.Y.; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. Cremation was private.
PRIMO GONZALEZ, 86, of Somerset, Franklin Township, died Aug. 21 at home. Born in Cuba, he resided in Somerset the past 48 years. He was the owner and operator of City Taxi Company, New Brunswick for 45 years, retiring in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Sally Kielian Gonzalez of Somerset; two sisters, Jennie Rodriguez and Andrea Ciecrale, both of North Brunswick, and Mildred Dias of Bethlehem, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Aug. 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Services will be Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
PATRICIA V. BRADLEY SNEDEN, 66, of East Brunswick died Aug. 15 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, George K. Sneden; a son, Michael D. Sneden of Upper Montclair; three daughters, Catherine R. Taranto of Wyckoff, Elizabeth Ann Fletcher of Mount Holly and Judith E. Shively of Atlanta; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment

RUSSELL J. MABSON JR., 54, of Freehold Township died Aug. 16 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Tuskegee, Ala., he had lived in Freehold for the past 40 years. He was an equipment operator for Nicholas Paving Co., Farmingdale. He was a member of the Old Ship of Zion Baptist Church, Englishtown. He was predeceased by a sister, Shelley A. Mabson, who died in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Janice Fogg Mabson; two sons, Aaron Moore and Rodney Fogg; three daughters, Dorothea and Kisha Mabson, and Joann Straniero; his father, Russell J. Sr.; his mother, Ola Mae Harvey Mabson; a sister, Vennis Mott; and 21 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Old Ship of Zion Church, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
ALBERTA NEWKIRK ELDREDGE, 103, of Freehold died Aug. 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Bridgeton, she was a longtime resident of the Freehold area. She was a banker for the Central Jersey Bank and Trust Co., Freehold, for 50 years before her retirement at the age of 82. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, which she joined in 1924. She was predeceased by her husband, William T., who died in 1963. Graveside services were held at the Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring.
MILDRED BYRON, 83, of Spotswood died Aug. 26 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Her husband, Vincent F. Byron, died in 1983; and a son, Vincent F. Byron Jr., died in 1970. Surviving are a son, LeRoy J. Byron of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Janet B. McGrath of Belmar and Meredith Rimer of Manalapan; a sister, Dorothy Nugent of the Toms River section of Dover; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold.
JENNIE BARRELLA DALLEO, 78, of East Brunswick died Sept. 3 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Willie Dalleo; two daughters, Diane Huneke of East Brunswick and Gilda Meier of Manalapan; a brother, Louis Barrella of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Anna Pugliese of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four granddaughters; and a niece. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. MARGARET "PEGGY" BRUNETTE, 67, of Howell, died Aug. 28 at home. Mrs. Brunette was born in Linden and had lived most of her life in Rahway before moving to Howell in 1995. She was a graduate of Rahway High School and attended Newark State College. She was a former communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park. She was the office manager for Dr. Leonard Harris, Roselle, for 10 years, retiring in 1992. Her daughter, Nancy Marie Brunette, died in 1992. Surviving are her husband, Frank Brunette, former superintendent of Rahway Public School System; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank "Skip" and Terri Brunette of Hampton, N.H.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Meg Brunette of Brielle, and Tammy and Frank Horneck of Freehold; seven grandchildren; and her dearest friends Kyle Lepree and Judith John. A Mass was offered at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park. Interment
was in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Brunette’s memory to the Visiting Nurse Association, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank 07701 would be appreciated.
