MIRANDA CHRISTINE MEAD, 6, of the Belford section of Middletown died Aug. 31 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Long Branch, she lived most of her life in Belford. She was a first-grade student at Bayview School, Middletown Township. She is survived by her parents and brother, James W., Danielle Martin and James M. Mead, all of Belford; her grandparents, Rob and Susan Martin of Aberdeen, Adrian and Pat Vajvoda of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lillian and Victor Mead of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; her great-grandparents, Lucille and Stan Foster of Freehold, Lillian and Albert Kingeter of Keansburg, and Theresa and Joseph Degwitz of Belford; and her great-grandmother, Barbara Mead of Atlantic Highlands. The Rev. Jack Wood officiated at a funeral service at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
JAMES L. PETTY, 78, of Keansburg died Sept. 4 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in the Belford section of Middletown, and Whiting prior to moving to Keansburg 1 1/2 years ago. He was a salesman for Sandler and Worth, Eatontown, for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Middletown Elks Post No. 2179, Belford; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown; and the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Vince Lombardi Council, and the American Legion Post No. 338, both Leonardo section of Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Slocum Petty in 1994. He is survived by his son, Brian Petty of Leonardo; two daughters, Nancy Maloney of Atlantic Highlands, and Karen Robertson of Middletown; two sisters, Janet McHugh of Phoenix, Ariz., and Helen Ketzner of Florida; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Sept. 6 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Sept. 7 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. MARGARET J. ORDYK, 76, of Hazlet died Aug. 30 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Irvington, she previously resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen before moving to Hazlet 11 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Ordyk, in 1974. She is survived by her son, Henry Ordyk Jr. of Morganville; two daughters, Margaret Zajaczkowski of Old Bridge, and Elizabeth Lamberth of Morganville; her sister, Kitsy Britinski of Clifton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held Sept. 5 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, both in Keyport.
CHRISTINE VINCENT LOUDIN, 35, of Old Bridge, died Aug. 14 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. She was a school bus driver for the Old Bridge Board of Education for six years. Surviving are her husband, Bruce; a son, Michael, and two daughters, Kristin and Kaitlyn, all of Old Bridge; her parents, Edward Vincent of Absecon and Diane Carragher Vincent of Matawan; a sister, Deborah Gibson of Cranford; her maternal grandmother, Mae Carragher of Matawan; and several nieces and nephews. PEARL E. SCIBEK ZYSKOWSKI, 80, of Sayreville died Aug. 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Alfonse, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Bernard of the Lincroft section of Middletown; two daughters, Rita Brown of Point Pleasant and Sylvia Melhorn of South Amboy; three sisters, Beatrice Adamecs of Sayreville, Frances Kules of Edison and Theresa Zygmond of Farmingdale; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
CHARLES T. "BUSTER" KILCOMINS, 92, of Middletown died Aug. 19 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Matawan prior to moving to Middletown 50 years ago. He was a retired builder and developer of such developments as Oak Hill, Apple Brook and Deepdale. He was a member of the Matawan Masonic Lodge No. 192. He was also a charter and longest living member of the Morganville Fire Company. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian Craig Kilcomins. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Constance Tremper Kilcomins of Middletown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Faith Ingram and Walter A. Hook, and Carol K. and Charles G. Van Pelt, all of Middletown; his stepdaughter, Constance B. Insley of Bangor, Maine; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. GEORGE W. SCHEICK, 83, of the Leonardo section of Middletown died Aug. 27 at Meridian Healthcare Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, he lived there and in Irvington prior to moving to Leonardo 22 years ago. He was a jeweler for Schmidt & Sons, Mountainside, for 22 years and retired eight years ago. Prior to that, he worked for Fosters Jewelry, Newark. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. He was a member and former Grand Knight of Bishop Wigger Council Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Irvington, as well as past president of Essex County Knights of Columbus Federation. He is survived by four brothers, Joseph Scheick of the Belford section of Middletown, Theodore Scheick of Irvington, Frank Scheick of Belleville, and Henry Scheick of Brick; his sister, Anne Dorsey of Runnemede; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands, followed by entombment at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown.
ANGELINA "JEANIE" SATRIANO BROSNAHAN, 60, of the Belford section of Middletown died Jan. 1 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there until moving to Belford 25 years ago. She was a database specialist for Prudential Insurance, Holmdel, for five years until 1997. She was a member of the Lincroft Bible Church and was active in its choir and taught Bible school. She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Bair Sr., in 1976. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Brosnahan of Belford; her mother, Mary Louis Catalano of Port Richie, Fla.; two daughters, Deborah Martin of Rouge Mountain, N.C., and Maria Merse of East Brunswick; two sons, Richard Bair Jr. of Telford, Pa., and Dennis Bair of Southampton, Pa.; two sisters, Rose Marie May of St. Paul, Minn., and Pauline Nasby of Hugo, Maine; a brother, Paul Satriano of Minnesota; and a stepmother, Catherine Satriano of St. Paul, Minn. Arrangements were under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, with services at Lincroft Bible Church. Interment

HOWARD P. ERDMANN, 90, of Matawan died Jan. 2 at Holmdel Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a lifelong resident of Matawan. He was the owner and operator of Brunswick Paint Co., East Brunswick, for 35 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Matawan Presbyterian Church, Matawan. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane Erdmann, in 1989. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Sammis of Haddonfield; his son, Jack Erdmann of Matawan; his sister, Dorothy Craig of Boca Raton, Fla.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Burial was at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
LENA BAGA WOERZ, 91, of Middletown died Jan. 2 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Baird, Pa., she lived in Pennsylvania until moving to Middletown 30 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Woerz, in 1981. She is survived by her son, Bernard Woerz of Long Island, N.Y.; her daughter, Barbara Woerz of Middletown; two brothers, Victor Baga of Ijamsville, Md., and Louis Baga of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Sarah Baga of Middletown; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
