MARION F. JUGAN THOMPSON, 70, of East Brunswick, formerly of Spotswood, died July 14 at home. A registered nurse, she was employed as the school nurse at Appleby School, Spotswood, for 28 years prior to her retirement in 1999. Surviving are her husband, Eugene; two daughters, Linda Thompson of East Brunswick and Nancy Dellapa of the Kendall Park section of North Brunswick; a son, Gregg Thompson of Hillsborough; her mother, Mary Kotusky Jugan of Perth Amboy; a sister, LaVerne Makfinsky of Manalapan; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Holy Cross Burial Park Chapel, South Brunswick. Entombment followed. JOHN JAY MCGUINNESS, 67, of East Brunswick died July 11 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Dolan McGuinness; a son, John J. McGuinness IV of East Brunswick; two daughters, Kathryn Malaska of Glassboro and Mary Ann McGuinness of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Robert of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
DOMINICK STASSE, 43, of Spotswood died July 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are his mother, Laverne Hockenjos Stasse, and a brother, William Stasse, both of Spotswood. Interment
is planned for July 19 in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
RHODA MILLER, 63, of Manalapan died June 21 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan 32 years ago. She was a customer service manager for the McGraw Hill Publishing Co., Hightstown, for 20 years. She was a member of Hadassah; and a member of the Brandeis University (Waltham, Mass.) Women’s Club. She is survived by her husband, Edward; two daughters, Madeleine Miller of Manalapan and Jacqueline Hess of East Brunswick; and one granddaughter. Services were held at the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel of Manalapan.
NATHAN GOODMAN, 88, of Monroe died July 16 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he operated the W. Berman Decorating Marketplace, East Brunswick, for more than 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Molly Berman Goodman; two sons, Harvey of Stamford, Conn., and Marv of East Brunswick; a daughter, Phyllis Taft of East Brunswick; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Highland Park Conservative Temple, Highland Park. Interment

JOHN JOSEPH DUFFY, 80, of Old Bridge died July 12 at home. His wife, Marion LeBlanc Duffy, died in 1991. Surviving are three sons, Edward Duffy of Hilton, N.Y., Peter Duffy of Spotswood and John Duffy of Helmetta; four daughters, Helen Moran of Keyport, Elizabeth Duffy of Old Bridge, Kathy Rodriguez of Glendale, Ariz., and Florence Duffy of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge; a sister, Josephine McCarrick of Holiday, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.
STANLEY MOZDZEN, 80, of Sayreville died July 11 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Stella Drozd Mozdzen, died in 1996. Surviving are two sons, Stanley of Englishtown and James of Sayreville; two daughters, Frances Monetti and Joyce Uler, both of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two brothers, Edmund Mozdzen and Joseph Mozdzen, both of Sayreville; three sisters, Helen Mozdzen and Wanda Stelmaszek, both of Sayreville, and Theresa Swiderski of Spotswood; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in New Calvary Cemetery, Sayreville.
CHARLOTTE J. FURCE GIANNANDREA, 81, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died July 14 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Vito, died in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Gotti of Parlin; a son, Kenneth Von Oesen of Red Bank; a sister, Eleanor Bellack of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for July 19 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment
will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
