JOHN G. CASTELLANI, 68, of Manalapan, died March 6 at home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had been a resident of Manalapan for the past 37 years. Mr. Castellani was employed for 45 years with the U.S. Department of Labor, New York, where he was the regional director for the Employment and Training Administration. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Tech High School and Brooklyn College. Mr. Castellani was a U.S. Air Force veteran, where he was a captain in the Strategic Air Command. He was past president of the Manalapan Little League and served on its board of directors for many years. He was a founder of the Little League Clinic, Senior League, Babe Ruth League and Girls Softball League. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5903 for many years and a member of the American Legion Molly Pitcher Post 434. He served on many township committees. Mr. Castellani is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maureen; four sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Donna of Lacey, David and Paulette of Manalapan, Gregory and Karen of Howell, and John and Pauline of Jackson; a brother, Norman of Edenton, N.C.; and four grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. ROBERT L. WILSON, 37, of Union Beach died March 7 at home. Born in Red Bank, he was a lifelong resident of Union Beach. He was a licensed exterminator for E&G Exterminating, South Amboy, for eight years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He was predeceased by his father, William Wilson in 2000, his brother William Wilson Jr. in 1968, and his sister, Barbara Ross in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Cullen-Wilson of Union Beach; his wife Sandra Sooknanan-Wilson of Union Beach; his son, Jason Wilson at home; four sisters, Sally Maire of Raleigh, N.C.; Patricia Oxley of Aberdeen; Mary Jane Kudriek of Edison; and Carol Disbrow of Union Beach; and three brothers, James Wilson of Howell; Michael Wilson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Ronald Wilson of Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment
was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
FRANCIS G. BLACKER, 90, of Howell, died March 1 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Blacker was born in Pottsville, Pa., and had lived in Neptune and Fort Meyers, Fla., until moving to The Villages, Howell, in 1998. He was an engineer for the U.S. Government serving in the Signal Corp. at Fort Monmouth and Camp Evans for 30 years before retiring in 1971. Mr. Blacker was a member of the Church of Christ, Howell. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1934-37. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ursula, in 1971 and by his step-daughter Judith Wobser in February 2002. Surviving are his wife, Mabel Blacker of Howell; a son, Donald of Plymouth, Minn.; a daughter, Sheryl Sylvester of Florida; two step-sons, Richard Selleck of StockBridge, Ga., and James Farley of Sebring, Ohio; a stepdaughter and her husband, Jeanne and Robert Baumgartner of Wall Township; a stepson-in-law, Max Wobser of Wall Township; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Interment
was private.
EUGENE CADIGAN, 65, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died Nov. 20 at home. Surviving are his companion, Ethel Mahan of Parlin; a son Daniel Cadigan, also of Parlin; two daughters, JoAnn Noble of South Amboy and Karyn Cadigan of East Brunswick; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Burn Center, Livingston.
LILLIAN R. STOLL FELDMAN, 91, of Old Bridge died Nov. 19 in the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, William, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Larry Feldman, Ph.D., of Potomac, Md.; two daughters, Barbara Kaplan of East Brunswick and Jane Schachter of Potomac; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. CAROL ROSSICS MASONIUS, 64, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Nov. 19 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are three sons, Michael and Albert, both of Monroe, and John of Sayreville; two daughters, Mary of Laurence Harbor and Claudette of Keansburg; three brothers, Roger Rossics of Columbia, Mo., Jon Rossics of Middletown and Jerome Rossics of the Brick Town section of Brick; a sister, Janice Elbach of Edison; and 13 grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Interment
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newark.
JOSEPH SMITH JR., 86, of the Yardville section of Hamilton Township died Nov. 21 in Veterans Administration Medical Cemetery, Lyons section of Bernards Township. Surviving are his wife, Olga Sosnowitz Smith; two daughters, Patricia Toth of the Whitehouse Station section of Readington and Barbara Kaminsky of Yardville; a sister, Goldie Hinson of New Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment

JOSEPH L. MOSKWA SR., 75, of South Amboy died Nov. 23 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Surviving are a son, Joseph L. Moskwa Jr. of Perth Amboy; a daughter, Nancy Charmello, also of South Amboy; a brother, Edward Moskwa of Sayreville; a sister, Helen Brechka of Carteret; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 27 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment

MARIA T. SMITH BONURA, 41, of North Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 19 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, William Bonura, a son and two daughters, William Bonura Jr., and Brittany and Gina Bonura, all at home; her parents, Jack and Anna McInerney Smith of Union; three sisters, Jacqueline Smith of Jim Thorpe, Pa., Tricia Lennon of Swiftwater, Pa., and Erin Smith of South Brunswick; a brother, Sean Smith of Farmingdale; and several nieces and nephews. JOSEPH J. DePRE, 83, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge died Nov. 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Katherine Pohle DePre; two daughters, Kathleen M. Petrik of South Amboy and Patricia Lovrich of Monroe; a son, Keith of Wind Gap, Pa.; a sister, Anne Howe of Ocean; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 27 at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Entombment will follow in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.
