CHARLES A. NAFUS, 64, of Sayreville died Oct. 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. His first wife, Rose Marie Balaszkiewicz Nafus, died in 1995. Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Geiger Nafus; a daughter, Donna Ostrowski of Sayreville; a son, Charles "Chuck" Nafus of Millstone; two stepsons, John Callahan of Howell and Thomas Callahan of Duluth, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Catherine DeGroff of Kannapolis, N.C., and Beth Callahan of South Gibson, Pa.; a brother, Clifford Nafus of Queens, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Oct. 26 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
HELEN LEBEDA PODOLAK, 85, of the Melrose section of Sayreville died Oct. 19 at home. Her husband, George M. Podolak, died in 1988. Surviving are a son, George E. of Melrose; two daughters, Helen Olchaskey and Barbara Egan, both of Sayreville; two brothers, Paul Lebeda of Melrose and Michael Lebeda of Waterloo, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment

JOSEPH SIMKO, 94, died Oct. 17 in Old Bridge Manor. His wife, Anna Petrovicz Simko, died in 1992, and a grandson, Joseph R. Simko Jr., died in 1996. Surviving are a son, Joseph R. Simko of the Morgan section of Sayreville; a sister-in-law, Sister Mary Elsa of Staten Island, N.Y.; a grandson; seven great-grandchildren; three nephews and a niece. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment
was in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.
DOLORES ROGERS CAMERON, 70, of Old Bridge died Oct. 22 at home. Her husband, Peter Joseph Cameron, died in 1990. Surviving are four sons, Peter Cameron of Jamesburg, Martin Cameron and Michael Cameron, both of Old Bridge, and Joseph Cameron of Oakland; three daughters, Elizabeth Sandstrom of Alexandria, Va., Mary Kopec of Ramsey and Margaret Cameron of Old Bridge; a sister, Irene Rogers of Yonkers, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Oct. 25 at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
FRANK S. GRABOWSKI, 77, of Sayreville died Oct. 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Jean Regiec Grabowski, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Stephen Grabowski of Monroe; three daughters, Betty Jane Marcinko of the Parlin section of Sayreville, Susan Fortunato of the Forked River section of Lacey and Nancy Rainsford of Manalapan; a brother, John Grabowski of Sayreville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
MATRONA DASHKIEWICZ, 93, of South River died Oct. 21 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, George Dashkiewicz, died in 1982. Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Jacewicz of South River and Marie Byczkowski of Mountain Top, Pa.; a sister, Helen Dmitrienko of South River; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A service is planned for 10 a.m. on Nov. 24 at St. Euphrosynia Belarus Greek Orthodox Church, South River. Interment
will follow in the church cemetery.
REUBEN C. EVANS, 89, of South River died Oct. 16 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Magnora, died in 1988. Surviving are two sons, Isaiah Williams of Atlanta and Alex Evans of South River; two daughters, Jerodean "Pat" Evans-Williams of New Brunswick and Mary Ann Ivey of Highland Park; two nieces, Helene Evans Cooper and Hope Degroot; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Union Baptist Church, South River. Interment

ANNA MIKLASZEWSKI GAYDOS, 87, died Oct. 18 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment
was in St. Mary’s Greek Catholic Cemetery, Trenton.
WILBERT E. GLYNN, 85, of the Somerset section of Franklin died Oct. 12. Surviving are a friend, Mary Ellen Giddes of Edison; two sons, Ronald E. Glynn of East Brunswick and Roger E. Glynn of Brielle; a brother, Elmer Glynn of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the United Methodist Church at New Brunswick. HENRY R. "RAY" KOZICKI, 78, of South River died Oct. 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1972, he was a police officer with the South River Police Department for 26 years. His wife, Sophie, died in 2001. Surviving are a son, Ron R. Kozicki of South River; a daughter, Cindy Kozicki-Petras of South River; an aunt, Sister Mary Alberthilia of Lodi; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Cremation was private.
