RICHARD W. MADDEN, 80, of South River, formerly of Old Bridge, died Oct. 17 at home. Surviving are his wife, Hilda Otto Madden; two daughters, Norman Wollmann and Connie Valenti; a sister, Patricia Fischer; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment

JOHN JOSEPH "JACK" LEONARD, 77, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick and the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Oct. 22 at home. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Grimes Leonard; three daughters, Nancy Williams and Lorraine Wallace, both of East Brunswick, and Christine Goff of Spotswood; and two grandsons. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Oct. 25 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Kendall Park. Interment
will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
LLOYD SCHMIDT, 65, of East Brunswick died Oct. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Barbara Frei Schmidt, died in 2001. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and David George; a nephew, Glenn Schnitzer; three great-nephews, Derek, Kyle and Adam Schnitzer; and several cousins. Services will be held at noon on Oct. 24 at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. RUSSELL G. BUCCO SR., 76, of Aberdeen died Oct. 8 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Carmella DiGiora Bucco; two sons, Russell G. Bucco Jr. and Rocco P. Bucco, both of Aberdeen; three daughters, Mary V. Koehler and Angela Marvel, both of Aberdeen, and Carmella Mocci of Keyport; three brothers, Anthony Bucco of Highlands, Frank Bucco of Old Bridge and Joseph Bucco of Matawan; three sisters, Mary Bounano of Old Bridge, Ann Caden of Texas and Angie Mizzel of Keyport; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Church, Keyport. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
MARIA "MAMIE" CRISTINE, 85, of Old Bridge died Oct. 2 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Bruno. Surviving are two nieces, Jeannette Massas of Matawan and Patricia Bruno of Provincetown, Mass.; and one great-niece and one great-nephew. Interment
was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
MARIE E. ADDEO MILLER, 66, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, Leo J. Miller; two daughters, Leigh O’Leary of Spotswood and Kristen Silowka of East Meredith, N.Y.; a son, Kurt Miller of the Somerset section of Franklin; her mother, Elizabeth Pennella Addeo of East Newark; a sister, Elizabeth Ann McInnis, also of East Newark; and eight grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Oct. 17 at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment
will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
EDWARD J. FARLEY, 81, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 11 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. His wife, Margaret Farley, died in 1985. ANGELINA "JULIE" WALLING, 74, of Aberdeen died Oct. 12 at home. Surviving are her husband, Donald W. Walling; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Walling-Murray and Richard Murray of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a sister, Carmen Rossi of the Toms River section of Dover; and a goddaughter, Arlene Kowalski of Florida.
DR. CHUL-YOUNG CHI, 77, of the Somerset section of Franklin died Oct. 13 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a retired music professor. Surviving are his wife, Kyu Soo Kim; a daughter, Mariane Chi Spearman of Seattle; a son, Dennis Chi of Closter; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
EILEEN WREN CULLEN, 59, of Spotswood died Oct. 14 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Peter J. Cullen; a daughter, Christine Hughes of Spotswood; two sons, Craig of Spotswood and Michael of East Brunswick; a sister, Maureen T. Gertz of Monroe; and two grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, East Brunswick. Cremation will be private. JOHN "JACK" VANDERVEER DENISE II, 86, of Monroe, formerly of Princeton, died Oct. 8 at home. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Carr Denise; a son, David C. Denise of Princeton; two daughters, Susan Harris of New Canaan, Conn., and Jan Loughran of the Princeton Junction section of West Windsor; and 13 grandchildren.
