ALFREDA C. MROWKA KIRPAN, 72, of the Somerset section of Franklin, formerly of South River, died July 20 in The Medical Center at Princeton. Surviving are her husband, John; three daughters, Christine Canfield of Princeton, Jeanette Pultro of Somerset and Karen Kirpan of Montclair; a brother, Richard Mrowka of Maine; a sister, Henrietta Freeman of South River; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Matthias Church, Somerset. Interment

ZELMA LONG, 78, of Old Bridge died July 20 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was employed as a beautician at Patty’s Beauty Salon, Monroe, for 18 years. Her husband, Bernard, died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, James, with whom she lived, and Bernie of Jamesburg; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
FRANK V. EVALDI, 73, of Avondale, Ariz., formerly of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died July 17 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Ollie Lauer Evaldi; three sons, John of the Parlin section of Sayreville, Frank D. of Wake Forest, N.C., and Mark E. of Pocono Lake, Pa.; two daughters, Sandra Shaver of New Brunswick and Michele Horsch of East Brunswick; a sister, Joan Dekis of Matawan; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment
was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
ALFRED Z. HILLMAN, 85, of South River died July 21 at home. Prior to his retirement 17 years ago, he was the owner of Hillman’s Bar, South River, for 38 years. Surviving are his wife, Stephanie "Stella" Sawicki; a son, Bruce Hillman; two daughters, Patricia Lovuolo and Barbara Kirby; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on July 25 at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment
will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the South River Rescue Squad.
ANNA COLON TODACK, 91, of East Brunswick died July 16 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by her husband, George Todack. Surviving are her husband, Benjamin Castro of the Toms River section of Dover; a daughter, Dora Soto of East Brunswick; a brother, Richard Colon of Puerto Rico; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
EDWIN JACOB SCHLENK, 83, of East Brunswick died July 21 at home. Surviving are a sister, Catherine Liddy of Laguna Hills, Calif.; a niece, Barbara Liddy of Mission Viejo, Calif.; a nephew, John Liddy of Lake Forrest, Calif.; and a companion, Mary Nora of East Brunswick. A service is planned for 11 a.m. on July 25 at Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home, Milltown. Interment
will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
PAULINE R. DeLISI ARNONE ROSSI, 91, died July 18 in Cedar Oaks Care Center, South Plainfield. Her first husband, Michael Arnone, died in 1976; her second husband, William Rossi, died in 1984; and a grandson, Michael Arnone Jr., died in 1993. Surviving are two sons, Michael Arnone of Crystal River, Fla., and Andover, and Robert Arnone Sr. of Piscataway; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
WILLARD E. MYERS, 89, of South River, formerly of North Brunswick, died July 19 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He retired after working at Raritan Arsenal, Edison, for 23 years, but continued on the North Brunswick police force for 23 years, retiring in 1978 as captain of detectives. His wife, Madeline Dey Myers, died in 1999; a son, Willard E. Myers, died in 1991; and a daughter, Lynne Kara, died in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Lee Ann Goellner of East Brunswick, and six grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on July 25 at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment
will follow in St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg.
FIORE "FRED" LUPO, 81, of Monroe, formerly of North Brunswick, died July 17 at home. He was the proprietor of the White Lion Inn and Lupo’s Bar, both North Brunswick. The White Lion Inn later became Villa Fiore. Surviving are his wife, Anna Recine Lupo; five sons, Vincent F. of North Brunswick, Richard A. of Millstone, Michael P of Manahawkin, Fred of Monroe and Joseph of East Amwell; two sisters, Maryann Snediker of North Brunswick and Angie Recine of Milltown; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. SALVATORE T. MARCH, 81, of Florida, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 19 in University Hospital, Tampa, Fla. He was predeceased by his first wife, Emma Irene March. Surviving are his wife, Marlene; four sons, Robert of Allenhurst, Kevin of Odessa, Fla., Salvatore Jr. of Brentwood, Tenn., and Gregory of East Brunswick; two sisters, Mary Gentile of Ewing and Mickie D’Amico of Easton, Pa.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on July 26 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
