Maria N. Terrazas
A funeral mass for Maria Natividad Terrazas of Lovington is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. Franklin Eichhorst officiating.
Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Terrazas, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 24, at Nor Lea Hospital.
She was born Oct. 5, 1914, in Ruidosa, Texas. A member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, she moved to Lovington in 1950.
Mrs. Terrazas is survived by one sister, Juanita Velasquez of Midland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Terrazas in 1998; her parents; 13 sisters; and two brothers.
Lisa Tarin

Funeral services for Lisa Ann Tarin of Hobbs are pending at Bethany Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tarin, 26, died Monday, Dec. 25, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Survivors include three sons, Christopher Adam Tarin, Angel Ryan Tarin and Andrew Tarin, all of Hobbs; her mother, Linda Luna of Hobbs; two brothers, Leonardo Tarin and Larry Tarin, both of Hobbs; and one sister, Lorinda Llamas of Hobbs.

Louise H. Stewart
Due to inclement weather, funeral services for Louise H. Stewart have been changed to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at Lane Chapel CME Church.
Bethany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Enrique Miramontes Sr.
Funeral services for Enrique Miramontes Sr. of Hobbs are pending at Bethany Funeral Home.
Mr. Miramontes, 48, died Monday, Dec. 25, at Lea Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Josefina Rodriquez Miramontes of the home; three sons, Henry, Steve and Miguel Miramontes, all of Hobbs; two brothers; six sisters; and three grandchildren.

Mary Ragland
Funeral services for Mary Ragland of Lovington are pending at Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ragland, 64, died Monday, Dec. 25, in Lubbock.
Robert E. Lee

Funeral services for Robert E. Lee of Hobbs are pending at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mr. Lee, 69, died on Monday, Dec. 25, in Hobbs.
He was born on June 6, 1931, in Webb City, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Lee of the home; two sons, Bobby Carl Lee of Lubbock, Bruce Lee of Spring, Texas; and one daughter, Eva Rena Wilson of Franklin, Tenn.

Lonnie Corbitt
Funeral services for Lonnie Corbitt of Tatum are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at Tatum First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Louis Crenshaw and the Rev. John Hogan officiating.
Burial will follow in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
Mr. Corbitt, 91, died on Monday, Dec. 25, at Conroe, Texas.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1909, in Perryville, Texas, and married Ruth Gore on Nov. 28, 1934, in Clovis. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Mr. Corbitt owned and operated a barber shop in Tatum for 45 years and was a barber for 68 years. He was a member of the Tatum Lions Club and Tatum First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one son, LeRoy Corbitt of El Paso; one daughter, Betty McLeroy of Conroe; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Corbitt was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.

Ruby F. Goins
Funeral services for Ruby F. Goins, 71, of Eunice, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at First Baptist Church in Eunice with the Rev. Keeney Dickenson officiating. Assisting will be Hospice chaplain Elio Barrios.
Burial will be in Brunson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday.
Mrs. Goins died on Saturday, Dec. 23, in Eunice.
She was born April 27, 1929, in Weatherford, Texas, and later married Milton Goins.
Active in the First Baptist Church's Naomi Sunday school class, Mrs. Goins also attended New Mexico Junior College and was a member of the Eunice Grandmothers Club.
She is survived by one son, Mike Copeland of Jal; two sisters, Mary McKibbin of Seminole and Linda Carb of Post, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one son, Larry Wayne Copeland.

Reece Hester
Funeral services for Reece Hester, 85, of Hobbs, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Taylor Street Church of Christ.
Burial, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home, will be in Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hester died on Sunday, Dec. 24, at Lea Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 10, 1915, in Tishomingo County, Miss., and married Willie B. Hester on Dec. 21, 1940, in Pampa, Texas.
She preceded him in death on June 4, 1994.
Mr. Hester and his family moved to Texas from Mississippi in 1916, moved to Eunice in 1955, then moved to Hobbs in 1969.
He had been employed by El Paso Natural Gas Co., and was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ for 31 years.
Mr. Hester is survived by one son, Bobby Hester of Hobbs; one daughter, Linda Hooe of Hobbs; one sister, Bula Trigg of Roswell; and two granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Christian Children's Home at West Star Route, Box 48 in Portales, 88130; or Good Samaritan Village at 1701 N. Turner in Hobbs.

Lora Mae Mullins
Funeral services for Lora Mae Mullins, 88, of Haskell, Texas, mother of Robbie Curry of Hobbs, will be at 10 a.m. (CST) today at the Haskell First Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery with Holden-McCauley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mullins was born in Commanche County, Texas, on July 17, 1912. She moved to Haskell County in 1922 where she and her husband George farmed until their retirement. She was active in PTA, home demonstration clubs and the Brazos West Art Association. In addition, Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Haskell First Baptist Church.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by one other daughter, Delorise McMillen of Gainesville, Fla.; and three sons, George Mullins Jr. of San Antonio, Willard Mullins of Haskell and Manuel Mullins of Olney, Texas.
Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1973.

Joyce Rountree
Funeral services for Joyce M. Rountree, 74, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Mrs. Rountree died on Saturday, Dec. 23, in Fort Worth.
She was born on Nov. 29, 1925, in Coleman, Texas, and had lived in Hobbs for many years.
A member of Temple Baptist Church, Mrs. Rountree had been a resident of Granbury for nine months.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Wayne Rountree of St. Charles, Mo., and Michael Lonnell Rountree of Hobbs; one daughter, Marlina Joyce Stuckey of Granbury; one brother, Charles Coston of Midland; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Louise Stewart-Mangum
Funeral services for Louise Hullaby Stewart-Mangum, 66, a lifelong Hobbs resident, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Matthew Scott officiating.
Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stewart died Saturday, Dec. 23, at her Hobbs home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Shreveport, La., and worked as a caretaker for the elderly for many years.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Charles Mangum of the home; three sons, Ronnie and Arthur L. Stewart, both of Hobbs and Tony Stewart of Dallas; four daughters, Linda Patton and Barbara Parks, both of Lubbock and LaShandra Stewart and Anita Scott, both of Hobbs; three brothers, John Hullaby of Louisiana, Willie Lewis of Shreveport and Joe Lewis of Kansas; three sisters, Lessie Loud, Lucille Curry and Dorothy Griffin, all of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Glover; one brother, Milton Hullaby; and one great-granddaughter, Jakaija Parks-Glover.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice at 1515 W. Calle Sur, Hobbs, 88240.

Harry Wayland
Funeral services for Harry Wayland, 73, of Jal, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Calvary Baptist Church in Jal with the Rev. Alan Speed officiating.
Burial, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel, will be in Jal Cemetery.
A 41-year resident of Jal, Mr. Wayland died on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1927, in Boston and married Mary Ruth Padgett on June 19, 1949, in Nocona, Texas.
Mr. Wayland served in the U.S. Army and was employed by El Paso Natural Gas in camp maintenance.
He is survived by one son, Larry Wayland of Brownfield, Texas; three daughters, Sue Barnes and Padgett Alexander, both of Hobbs, and Frankie Griggs of Liberal, Kan.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Wayland was preceded in death by his wife, who died on Aug. 24, 1991.

Ruby Goins
EUNICE - Services are pending with Calvary Funeral Home for Ruby F. Goins of Eunice.
Mrs. Goins, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 23, in Eunice. She was born April 27, 1929, in Weatherford, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Michael Copeland of Jal; and two stepsons, George Goins of Hobbs and Mike Goins of Las Lunas.

Louise Hullaby Stewart-Mangum
Services are pending with Bethany Funeral Home for Louise Hullaby Stewart-Mangum of Hobbs.
Mrs. Stewart-Mangum, 66, died on Saturday, Dec. 23, at her home.

Dora P. West
Graveside services for Dora P. West of Hobbs will be held at 11 a.m. today at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Eli Borden will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. West, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 21, at her home. She was born Jan. 7, 1918, in Ranger, Texas.
She married Joseph A. West on Sept. 21, 1934, in Roswell. He preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ, the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Leslie West of Hobbs; three daughters, Ida Ramsey of Merced, Calif., Jean Teague of Whitehouse, Texas, and Patsy Baldwin of Artesia; two sisters, Cora Pruett of Hobbs and Billie McLendon of Earlville, Maryland; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters; and a great-granddaughter.

Gladys L. Jackson
Graveside services for former Hobbs resident Gladys L. Jackson of Fort Worth will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson, 90, died on Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Fort Worth. She was born Aug. 8, 1910, in Ardmore, Okla.
She was a longtime Hobbs resident.
Survivors include one son, Willard Jackson of Fort Worth; one daughter, Jerry Thomason of Phoenix; one brother, Eugene Harvick of Comanche, Texas; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Dolly F. Sadler
Services for Dolly Fay Sadler of Hobbs will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Freewill Baptist Church.
The Rev. Leslie Skeens will officiate.
Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sadler, 85, died Wednes-day, Dec. 20, in Hobbs. She was born Sept. 13, 1915, in Silver City.
She married Bud Sadler in 1965.
She was a homemaker. She did knitting, crochet and embroidery work.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three daughters, Jeannie Elizabeth Wise of Dekalb, Texas, Lillie Mae Teel of Hobbs and Eunice Faye Jones of Ackerly, Texas; four sons, Jimmy Floyd Jones of Palestine, Texas, Gene Edward Jones of Hobbs, Vernon Ray Jones of Jasper, Ga., and Steve Allen Jones of Dodge City, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Zook of Truth or Consequences; and one sister, May Jones of Ackerly; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dora West

Mrs. West, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 21, in Hobbs. She was born Jan. 7, 1918.

Dolly F. Sadler

Mrs. Sadler, 85, died on Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Hobbs.

Refugia Villanueva
A funeral Mass for Refugia Villanueva of Artesia will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia.
The Rev. Vince Peterson will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia. Deacon Pablo Merjil will officiate.
Mrs. Villanueva, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, in Artesia. She was born July 7, 1915, in Ruidosa, Texas.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Villanueva of Phoenix and Manuel Villanueva of Pecos, Texas; one brother, Natividad Corrales of Grandfalls, Texas; one sister, Margarita Madrid of Visalia, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Villanueva; one son, Juan Villanueva; and one daughter, Mary Holguin.

Gladys L. Jackson
Services for former Hobbs resident Gladys L. Jackson of Fort Worth are pending with Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Fort Worth. She was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Ardmore, Okla.
Immediate survivors include one son, Willard Jackson of Fort Worth.

Robert G. Belshe
Graveside services, with military honors, for Robert G. Belshe of Hobbs will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia.
Virgil Webb will officiate.
Burial will follow under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mr. Belshe, 87, died on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born on Feb. 2, 1913, in Kansas.
He married Willie Mable Rowles. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Belshe served in the U.S. Army for two years in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He worked in the real estate profession in Hobbs, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a ham radio operator.
Survivors include four stepsons, Robert Cavner of Hobbs, Clyde Cavner of Moore, Okla., Bill Cavner of Ponca City, Okla., and Ray Cavner of Ratliff City, Okla.

Harold Taylor
Services for Harold "Junior" Taylor of Hobbs will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, at First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Gale Trow will officiate.
Burial will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor, 35, died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born on May 10, 1965, in Hobbs.
He married Marla Roberts on Jan. 5, 1999, in Lovington.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Joshua Dean Roberts-Taylor of Hobbs; his mother, Shirley Hughlett of Spur, Texas; his stepfather, Gene Hughlett of Spur; three sisters, Margaret Larmon, Martha Wedgeworth and LaDeana Taylor, all of Hobbs; one brother, Eddie Taylor of Hobbs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Taylor Sr.; and one sister, Sharon Taylor.

Dorthy B. Sullivan
Services for Dorthy B. Sullivan of Hobbs will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Ernie Eidson will officiate.
Burial will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan, 78, died on Thursday, Dec. 14, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was born on Nov. 11, 1922, in Douglas, Kan.
She married Harry Troy Sullivan on July 26, 1941, in McCamey, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Midland and attended First Christian Church in Hobbs. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rebekahs in Hobbs and Midland. She was an amateur radio operator.
Survivors include one daughter, Harriet B. Sullivan of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Smith; one sister, Lena Kellar; and her mother, Elizabeth Mae Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Fund.
