Vivian S. Gillian
Services for Vivian S. Gillian of Eunice will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, at First Baptist Church in Eunice. The Rev. Kevin Warner will officiate. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Brunson Memorial Cemetery in Eunice.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 8-10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gillian, 85, died Monday, July 16, at Good Samaritan Village of Hobbs. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Long Grove, Okla. She married Walter Gillian on Nov. 5, 1934, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Gillian moved to Eunice with her husband and daughter in 1936 from the Texas Panhandle. She wrote an article for the book "Pioneers of Lea County" about the Gillian family. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Springer of Eunice and Merry Conger of Irving, Texas; five grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Miller Snelson; her mother, Romia Ashley; two sisters; and one son, Jerry Gillian.

Mrs. Gillian, 85, died Monday, July 16, at Good Samaritan Village. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Oklahoma.

Cindy L. Little
Services for Cindy Lou Little of Hobbs are pending with Bethany Funeral Home.
Ms. Little, 46, was the manager of Scrapaholics in Hobbs.
She is survived by her father, Dan Little, and stepmother, Norma Little, both of Hobbs.
Danny A. Hopper
EUNICE - Services for Danny A. Hopper of Midland will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kenny Reed of the Assembly of God will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hopper, 50, died Saturday, July 14, in Midland. He was born Sept. 21, 1950, in McCamey, Texas.
Mr. Hopper moved from Eunice to Midland two years ago. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Durward Hopper of Eunice; one brother, Derril Hopper of The Woodlands, Texas; three sisters, Coleen Bruce of Fort Worth, Betty Byrum of Midland and Coreen Nye of Clayton; two aunts; and numerous uncles, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Earlene Hopper, in 1970.
Lucy Aden
KERMIT, Texas - Services for Lucy Aden of Mayhill, N.M., will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Christ in Jal. Blackie Ellison will officiate. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. of Kermit.
Burial will follow at Jal Cooper Cemetery.
Mrs. Aden, 83, died Saturday, July 14, at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo. She was born Nov. 20, 1917, in New Iberia, La. She married Doug Aden on July 3, 1939, in Houston. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1977.
Mrs. Aden was a resident of Mayhill for 12 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Aden of Midland and Doug Aden of Mayhill; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
G.D. Johnny Rich
LOVINGTON - Services for G.D. Johnny Rich of Lovington will be held at 2 p.m. today at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Erickson will officiate.
Mr. Rich, 83, died Saturday, July 14, at his home. He was born April 7, 1918, in Cooper, Texas, to George W. and Donnie Patterson Rich. He married Tonetta Beaumont on July 1, 1947.
Mr. Rich served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Calvary during World War II. He was a resident of Lovington for the last 42 years. He had retired from the Cabot Corp. after 41 years. He was on the lay committee for the Lovington Public Schools.
Mr. Rich was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Lovington. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and also served on its counsel.
He is survived by three sons, George Rich of Albuquerque, Mark Rich of Allamuchy, N.J., and Chris Rich of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Cyndy McBeth of Lovington; three sisters, Sue Cooke of Palestine, Texas, Marie Olivelo of Woodward, Okla., and Neva Dyer of Pampa, Texas; two brothers, Dale and Vernon Rich, both of Pampa; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Rich was preceded in death by his wife and son, James Rich.
Richard Power
LOVINGTON - Services for Richard "Sonny" Power of Lovington are pending with Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
Mr. Power, 78, died Sunday, July 15, at his home.
Willie Patton
Services for Willie "Raymond" Patton of Hobbs will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Gale Trow will officiate. Services are under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery in Seminole. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Hobbs Masonic Lodge No. 63.
Mr. Patton, 83, died Monday, July 16, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Dec. 19, 1917, in Seminole. He married Bernell Hodge on April 22, 1988.
Mr. Patton had been a resident of Seminole for 68 years. He owned and operated Seminole Radiator for 20 years and was a member and deacon of South Seminole Baptist Church. He was also a past city councilman for Seminole and a member of the Seminole Noon Lions Club.
Mr. Patton moved to Hobbs in 1988. He later joined First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and member of the Encounter Sunday school class. He was a member of Hobbs Masonic Lodge No. 63; the Lea County Shrine Club; Order of the Eastern Star, Bethany Chapter No. 56; and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Jerry Patton of Seminole and Tommy Patton of Plano; one brother, Yates Patton of Carlsbad; one sister, Frances Romine of Clayton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Patton married Cleo Hamilton in 1938. She preceded him in death in 1983.

Mary A. McCann
CORSICANA, Texas - Services for Mary Ann McCann of Corsicana are pending.
Mrs. McCann died Monday, July 16, at her home.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Howard; two sisters, Lynn Wetzel of Kenai, Alaska, and Barbara Hayes of Eunice; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe McCann; her parents, Margaret and Dick Walker; and two brothers, James and Jack.
Ida W. Merrill Hollis
Services for Ida Winnell Merrill Hollis of Portales will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at New Hope Baptist Church in Hobbs.
Mrs. Merrill Hollis, 71, died Friday, July 13. She was born Feb. 12, 1930, to Clyde and Willie Golf Merrill. She married Ed Hollis in 1947.
The Hollis family eventually settled in Hobbs, where they lived until 1985, retiring in Portales.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by three sons, Carey and Van of Houston and Lee of Portales; two daughters, Ova Fagan of Hobbs and Gail Sikes of Portales; six grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Debbie LeFevre
Funeral services for Debbie LeFevre are scheduled for 9 a.m. (CDT) today at Living Way Church with Pastor Mark Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs at 11:30 a.m. (MDT). Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Mrs. LeFevre died Saturday at her Midland residence.
She was born Feb. 6, 1955, in Holden, W. V., to Virgil Bruce Boggs and Garnet Lorraine Parsons Boggs. She was an active member of Living Way Church in Midland.
She was a prophetess and Bible teacher; ministering in many capacities in the last 25 years in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and California. She served as director of St. Paul United Methodist Church Mother's Day Out in the late 1980s. She was a frequent speaker at Ladies' Bible Studies, Small Groups, and Women's Conferences.
Her ministry focused on the equipping of the Saints, the restoration of joy, and inner healing. Her trademark characteristics were a contagious laughter, positive outlook on life, and an undying love for her Lord Jesus Christ, the family reports.
Survivors include her husband, David Edward LeFevre of Midland; her son, the Rev. Joshua David LeFevre of Hamilton, Ohio; her father, Virgil Bruce Boggs of Hobbs; four brothers, Robert L. Boggs of Hobbs, Ronnie Boggs of Ooltewah, Tenn., Danny R. Boggs of Monahans, Texas, and the Rev. James D. Boggs of Red Oak, Texas; two sisters, Sarah Glenn of Gahanna, Ohio and Connie Dew of Hobbs, New Mexico; and a great number of nephews and nieces.

Danny A. Hopper

Alfred A. Fagan
Services for Alfred A. Fagan of Hobbs will be held at 11 a.m. today at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel. The Rev. Benny Greenlee will officiate. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mr. Fagan, 67, died Friday, July 13, in Lubbock. He was born March 25, 1934, in Oklahoma. He married Rhonda Fagan.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four brothers, Elvin D. Fagan of Albuquerque, Jerry W. Fagan and Neil V. Fagan, both of Hobbs, and Larry J. Fagan of Texas; and numerous stepchildren and grandchildren.
Mr. Fagan was preceded in death by his parents, Thad J. and Maudie V. Fagan; one sister, Nita Cox; one son, Rodney Fagan; and one nephew.
Alona J. Armijo
Services for Alona Jade Armijo of Hobbs will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St. Helena Catholic Church. The Rev. Jose A. Reyes will officiate. Services are under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.
Cremation will follow.
A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The 3-month-old infant died Tuesday, July 10, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born April 4 in Hobbs to Robert Armijo and Amber Rose McGee.
She is survived by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Mario and Anita McGee; and her paternal grandparents, Robert Sr. and Nannette Armijo of Las Cruces.
Robert L. Binkley
LOVINGTON - Services for Robert Leon "Doc" Binkley of Lovington will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Virgil Scott will officiate.
Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery.
Mr. Binkley, 87, died Friday, July 13, in Lovington. He was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Hollis, Okla. He married Anemone Love on June 11, 1938, in Roswell.
Mr. Binkley was a member of the Church of Christ from the age of 13. He was a production employee of Skelly-Getty-Texaco for 20 years. He then lived in seven different states while he worked for Petty Geophysical Co. for 20 years. He then worked for Southwest Inc. Oil Co. until age 80.
Mr. Binkley is survived by his wife of Lovington; two sons, Michael Binkley of Wichita, Kan., and James Richard Binkley of Danberry, Texas; one daughter, Carol Collier of Lubbock; three brothers, Wayne Binkley of Irving, Texas, Howard M. Binkley of Millersville, Md., and Don Binkley of Borger, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
