Eugenia Dockendorf
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. - Mrs. Eugenia Kaemmer Dockendorf, 80, of Barlow Road, died Thursday at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H., after being stricken.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Dockendorf lived on Bailey Avenue in Latham for most of her life before moving to Loudonville in 1989 and then to Springfield in 1994.
She was a former member of St. Ambrose Church, Latham.
Her husband, Francis P. Dockendorf, died in 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Forde of Springfield; a son, Douglas V. Dockendorf of Saratoga Springs; a brother, Jack Kaemmer of Mobile, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, and at 9 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.

Eugene Murtha
TUCSON, Ariz. - Eugene C. Murtha, 71, of La Cholla Boulevard, died Thursday at the Life Care Center.
Born and educated in the Bronx, Mr. Murtha was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a foreman electrician at the Mohawk Paper Co., Cohoes, for 30 years until retiring.
Mr. Murtha was the widower of June Kelly Murtha.
Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Murtha Stoff of Tucson; a son, James John Murtha of Thornton, Colo.; three sisters, Loretta Savino of Long Island, Kathleen McNichols of Saugerties and Theresa Mahoney of the Bronx; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Road, Route 40, Speigletown, followed at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Stillwater, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Bernard D. Kennedy
GRAFTON - Bernard D. Kennedy, 84, of Bailey Road, formerly of Troy, died Wednesday at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt.
Born in Dannemora, Mr. Kennedy was a graduate of Dannemora High School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal.
Mr. Kennedy was a chef at Samaritan Hospital for many years until retiring at the age of 63. He had previously been a chef at Callahan's in Troy, and the Cumberland Hotel in Plattsburgh.
He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church, Troy.
Mr. Kennedy was the widower of Irene LaPointe Kennedy.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Poulin of Grafton; two brothers, James Kennedy of Zephyrhills, Fla., and John J. Kennedy of New London, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner and Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick St., Troy, followed at 9:30 at St. Peter's Church, Troy, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.

Amelia McDonnell
LATHAM - Mrs. Amelia Whalen McDonnell, 80, of Glendale Road, died Thursday at home.
Mrs. McDonnell was born in Whitehall and had been a resident of Latham since 1953.
She attended Mechanicville High School and worked as a hairdresser at the Modern Beauty Shop in Albany until her marriage in 1953.
Survivors include her husband, Edward J. McDonnell; two sons, Andrew McDonnell of Latham and Mark McDonnell of Colonie; two daughters, Dellajean Herrewyn and Ellen Nicpon, both of Latham; a brother, Dr. Thomas Whalen of Cohoes; and eight grandchildren.
An anatomical gift has been made through Albany Medical College.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Assumption Church.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the family home after the Mass.

`Zeke' De Sorbo
LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Alfred L. "Zeke" De Sorbo, 89, of Lake Worth, died Monday at home after a short illness.
Born in Ciazzo, Italy, Mr. De Sorbo moved to Amsterdam as a child and attended local schools. He relocated to Florida in 1990.
Mr. De Sorbo was a machinist at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 10 years and was later a supervisor with Lamatronics of Amsterdam, retiring in 1970.
He was a former member of the Amsterdam Council 209 Knights of Columbus and the Columbian Social Club, where he was a member of its bowling league. He was also a member of the Business Men's League, serving as secretary.
Mr. De Sorbo was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, MaryRose Emanuele De Sorbo, whom he married Sept. 8, 1935; a son, Alfred J. De Sorbo of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; two daughters, Patricia Robinson of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Lorraine Stella of Perth; two sisters, Elvira DiCaprio and Molly Natale, both of Amsterdam; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the De Stefano Funeral Home, Route 5S, Amsterdam, and at 9:15 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.

`Bill' Gill, Sr.
LANSINGBURGH - Charles W. "Bill" Gill, Sr., 56, of Third Avenue, died Thursday at New England Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Troy, Mr. Gill was a graduate of Troy High School.
He was a machinist for nearly 20 years at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady.
He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks No. 141 and a former member of the Cohoes Moose Lodge and the Cohoes Auxiliary Police.
Mr. Gill was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gamache Gill; three sons, Charles W. "Bill" Gill Jr., Robert J. Gill and Brian J. Gill, all of Lansingburgh; his father, Charles N. Gill of Lansingburgh; and a sister, Sharon Patalino of Pleasantdale.
The services will be held at 12:15 p.m. Monday at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 115th Street and Fourth Avenue, and at 1 p.m. a Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Trinity Episcopal Church. Calling hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.

Correction
EAST GREENBUSH - Because of incorrect and incomplete information supplied to The Gazette, Friday's obituary for Dorothy Blake Buckner contained errors in her address and survivors.
She lived on Laswon Road, Sand Lake.
Survivors include two sons, Blake A. Buckner of East Greenbush and David F. Buckner of West Sand Lake, and 13 grandchildren.

Justin Kuhn, 93, survived horrors of Nazi Germany
NISKAYUNA - Justin Kuhn, who survived Kristallnacht and the Holocaust, died Monday. He was 93 and formerly resided at B'nai B'rith Apartments.
Born in Germany, Mr. Kuhn worked in the family cattle and butcher business.
He was a former political prisoner, arrested on the evening of Kristallnacht in 1938, when Nazis and their supporters terrorized Jews and vandalized their businesses throughout Germany. Mr. Kuhn was imprisoned in Dachau, Germany. He spent time in England before moving to Montreal, Canada, after World War II. Mr. Kuhn relocated to Worcester, Mass., and was a butcher at Klein's Meat Market, retiring in 1972. He moved to Niskayuna in 1981.
Mr. Kuhn was a member of Shaarai Torah West in Worcester, Mass., and Congregation Beth Israel in Schenectady. He was active at Beth Israel on a daily basis.
Survivors include a niece, Margot Zack of Niskayuna; and a nephew, Sidney Klein of Connecticut.
The service will be held at 10 this morning at Congregation Beth Israel, 2195 Eastern Parkway, Schenectady.
Burial will be in Chevra Kaddisha Cemetery, Leicester, Mass.

James McDonald, 51, founded MCD Mechanical, Inc. in 1982
LAKE GEORGE - James W. McDonald, 51, of Trinity Rock Road, formerly of Rotterdam, died Monday at Albany Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. McDonald attended Draper High School and was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Attleboro, Mass.
He was owner of MCD Mechanical Inc., a sheet metal company he started in 1982.
Mr. McDonald was the former vice president of Schenectady Air Systems from 1969 to 1982.
He was a member of Northeastern Sub-Contractors Association (NESCA) and the Sheet Metal Workers Local 83 for 18 years. Mr. McDonald was a trustee for the annuity fund of Local 83.
He was a member of the Sheet Metal Division of Capital Sheet Metal Roofing & Air Conditioning Contracts Association (SMACNA).
Mr. McDonald was a member of the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Christine Machado McDonald; a son, John McDonald of Amsterdam; two daughters, Kim Mackey of Saratoga Springs and Susan Collett of Guilderland; two brothers, David McDonald of Burnt Hills and Robert McDonald of Rotterdam; three sisters, Kathleen Clark of Scotia, Ruth Ann Tyler of Rotterdam and Helene Reilly of Johnstown; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.

Edward Tajkowski, research chemist at GE, Allied Signal
CLIFTON PARK - Edward G. Tajkowski, 81, of Tupelo Drive, died Tuesday at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Tajkowski was born in Schenectady and graduated from the former Mont Pleasant High School. A former Buffalo resident, he had lived in Clifton Park for the past 16 years.
He received bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from Union College.
Mr. Tajkowski was a research chemist at Allied Signal in Buffalo for 15 years, retiring in 1981.
Mr. Tajkowski had previously worked for 19 years for the General Electric Co. in Waterford and Schenectady.
He was a member and past master of the Clinton Masonic Lodge 140 in Waterford and a member of the Amherst Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Buffalo.
Mr. Tajkowski was a member of the Oriental Shrine Temple of Troy and a former member of Shrine Chanters, Ismahla Temple, Buffalo Consistory and Scottish Rite.
He was a member of the Shenendehowa Senior Citizens organization and its choral group.
Mr. Tajkowski was a member, former elder and past choir member of Christ Community Reformed Church.
He was a member of the GE Retirees Club and a lifetime member of the American Chemical Society.
Mr. Tajkowski was an American Red Cross volunteer.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred R. Breen Tajkowski; a daughter, Carol R. Tajkowski of Baltimore; two sons, Gary L. Tajkowski of Rochester and David J. Tajkowski of California; and a granddaughter.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Community Reformed Church, 1010 Route 146.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Members of Clinton Masonic Lodge 140 will conduct a service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
