Stella Boraski
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Stella Trojan Boraski, 77, of Maplewood Drive, Charlton, died Tuesday at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Boraski moved to Charlton in 1965.
She worked for General Electric Co. until 1960. Mrs. Boraski was a licensed practical nurse and was employed by the Visiting Nurse Service Association in Schenectady.
Mrs. Boraski was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville and its Rosary-Altar Society and Columbiettes. She was also a member of the China-Burma-India Association of wartime veterans.
Her husband, Stanley B. Boraski, died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Stephen J. Boraski of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Sharon A. Helm of Blue Grass, Iowa; a brother, Edward J. Trojan of Schenectady; a sister, Bernice Boulette of Schenectady; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville, and at 11 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 226 First St., Scotia.
Calling hours will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, during which the Rosary will be recited at 7.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.

Services scheduled for John Kaska
TOWN OF SARATOGA - Services have been set for John K. Kaska of Galway, who died Oct. 14.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road. Those planning to attend should meet at 9:45 a.m. at the information center.
Arrangements are by the Armer Funeral Home, Ballston Spa.

Saturday Mass set for Yates family
AMSTERDAM - A memorial Mass will be celebrated for the Anya Kwiatkowski Yates family at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, 40 Van Derveer St.
Mrs. Yates, her husband, Charles, and their two children, Elena and William, were killed in a plane crash on Martha's Vineyard Oct. 7.
Family and friends are invited to attend.

Pauline Ciupryk
BROADALBIN - Pauline M. Ciupryk, 87, of Bridge Street, Greenport, Long Island, formerly of Broadalbin, died Tuesday at home after a short illness.
Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Ciupryk came to the Broadalbin and Galway area as a child, and was educated locally.
In 1930, she moved to New York City, and then to Long Island in 1934.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ciupryk was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Greenport; and a member of the Senior Citizens Group in Southold.
Her husband, Joseph Ciupryk, whom she married Sept. 2, 1934, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Andrew J. Ciupryk of Mattituck, Long Island; two sisters, Mary Quillan of Ballston Spa and Jennie Malacynski of Saratoga Springs; a brother, Joseph Malacynski of Broadalbin; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, 39 W. Main St., followed at 10 at St. Joseph's Church, 2 North St., where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Galway.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mildred S. Schneider
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Mildred S. Schneider, 73, of Garfield Avenue, died Saturday at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Albany, Mrs. Schneider had lived in Schenectady for 30 years.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard W. Schneider Sr.; five sons, Leonard Couch of Vermont, Leonard W. Schneider Jr. of Schenectady, Robert W. Schneider of Columbus, Ga., and Mark and Glen Schneider, both of Schenectady; four daughters, Cheryl Teal of Rotterdam, Linda Diderich of Schenectady, Nancy Borzymowski of Delanson and Susan Keenan of Scotia; a sister, Elizabeth McElroy of Pensacola, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
Calling hours will be from 11:30 a.m. today until the time of the service.
Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.

Lucy Young
MEDFORD, Ore. - Mrs. Lucy Fuller Young, 84, of Medford, died Sunday at the Edgewood Home for Ladies.
Born in Malta, N.Y., Mrs. Young had lived in Oregon since 1981. She had previously lived in Phoenix, Ariz.
She was a 1934 graduate of Scotia High School, Scotia, N.Y.
Mrs. Young was a secretary for General Electric Co. in Schenectady, San Jose, Calif., and Phoenix. She retired from GE in Phoenix on April 1, 1971.
She was active in the Christmas bazaars at St. Mark's Episcopal Church and served on its vestry.
LeRoy Elwood Young, whom she married Sept. 25, 1939, died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Kay Martin, of Eagle Point, Ore.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point Veterans Affairs National Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Perl Funeral Home.

Lottie Grabiec
AMSTERDAM - Miss Lottie T. Grabiec, 77, of Vrooman Avenue, died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Amsterdam, Miss Grabiec was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School and was a lifelong area resident.
She worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady at one time. She was later employed at the Almor Co. before retiring.
Miss Grabiec was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and its Rosary Society.
She was a member of the Paderewski Choir and the Home and School Association of St. Stanislaus School.
Survivors include several cousins.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church St., and at 9 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:15 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church or school.

Geraldine Promuto
NISKAYUNA - Mrs. Geraldine Ann DeMatteo Promuto, 68, of Clifton Park Road, died at home Monday.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Promuto was a lifelong area resident.
She was a manager for Small A. C. & G. Credit Union for 25 years.
Mrs. Promuto was a member of St. Helen's Church.
Her husband, Albert R. Promuto, whom she married in 1973, died in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Antoinette Promuto of Niskayuna; a sister, Natalie Smith of Schenectady; and a brother, Ronald E. DeMatteo of Fairfax, Va.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.

Forrest Bowden
COHOES - Forrest Burton Bowden, 76, of Standish Place, died Monday at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., Mr. Bowden lived in Cohoes for the past 10 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and in North Africa.
Mr. Bowden worked for a local courier service and was an auto mechanic. He also worked in the restaurant business.
There are no known survivors.
The service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Marra Funeral Home, at Remsen and Columbia streets. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Eloise Jones
WEST SAND LAKE - Mrs. Eloise Rancourt Jones, 63, of Winding Ridge Road, died Tuesday at home as a result of breast cancer.
Born in Watervliet, Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She lived on Highland Avenue in Troy for 26 years and in West Sand Lake since 1991. She was a volunteer at Our Lady of Victory School and CCHS, while her children were students.
For the past 16 years, Mrs. Jones worked at the Troy Savings Bank, retiring in July of this year.
Mrs. Jones was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church, Troy.
Survivors include her husband, Donald M. Jones; four daughters, Donna Phillips of Pattersonville, Julie Best of Poestenkill, Aimee Yankowski of Galway and Meghan Jones of West Sand Lake; two sons, David Jones of Albany and Daniel Jones of Mechanicville; a sister, Joan Duffey of Watervliet; and nine grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Cummings Funeral Home, 643 Third Ave., Watervliet, and at 9:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Congress Street, Troy.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
