William F. Long
SHARON SPRINGS - William F. "Bill" Long, 77, of Sharon Springs died Tuesday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill after a brief illness.
Born in Albany, Mr. Long lived in Sharon Springs for many years.
He was a laborer for the White Sulphur Springs Co., retiring in 1973. He also did lawn care work in the area for many years.
There are no immediate survivors.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lappeus Funeral Home, 32 Park St.
Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Spring burial will be in Sharon Cemetery, Leesville.

Stanley Shaw, drummer, had jazz trio with wife
COHOES - Stanley Shaw, a drummer who performed for many years with a jazz trio, died Sunday at Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center Hospital in Albany as a result of sensory periperal neuropathy. Mr Shaw, of Island View Road, was 74.
Mr. Shaw was born in the Washington Heights section of New York City.
He toured as a jazz drummer with the Hot Lips Page band. He studied with Cozy Cole and Saul Goodman and worked for CBS Radio with the Raymond Scott Orchestra.
Mr. Shaw was nicknamed "Rocky" after Louis Armstrong said that his drumming was "like a rock." He also sat in or worked with musicians Charlie Parker, Oscar Pettiford, Charlie Shavers, George Shearing, Dorothy Donegan and Lena Horne, among others.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Special Services from 1944 to 1946 and playing in the Navy band.
Mr. Shaw formed a trio with his wife, Lee Shaw, in 1961. The couple performed in Puerto Rico and in 1962 moved to New York City, where they performed in such clubs as Birdland, Downbeat, Embers, 5 Spot, Half Note and Village Vanguard. The trio performed at a March on Washington benefit for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Apollo Theater in the 1960s.
In late 1970, the trio was booked into the Diplomat on Route 9 in Latham. The couple moved to Cohoes in July 1971. They performed until 1992 when Mr. Shaw's illness prevented him from continuing to play.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lee Shaw.
A service of spoken remembrances will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park.
A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Mildred Trautner, co-owned several meat markets in state
GLOVERSVILLE - Mrs. Mildred R. Trautner, who, with her husband owned and operated several meat markets in the Gloversville, Rome and Oneida areas, died Monday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Trautner, formerly of Franklyn Street, was 79.
Born in Marcy, Mrs. Trautner had lived in Rome before moving to Gloversville 12 years ago.
She was a high school graduate.
She was an Episcopalian.
Mrs. Trautner was a member of the New York State Harness Owners Racing Association.
Her husband, Kenneth J. Trautner, whom she married Sept. 28, 1939, died in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Trautner of Rome and Kenneth J. Trautner of Dennison, Texas; two daughters, Jeanne M. Mauro of Gloversville and Virginia A. Earing of Schenectady; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the John W. Finocan Funeral Home, 13 Prospect Ave.
There are no calling hours.
Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory, Schenectady.

Edward McClimans, owned McClimans Asphalt Paving
HALFMOON - Edward M. McClimans, who owned and operated McClimans Asphalt Pav- ing, died Monday at St. Peter's Hospital after a short illness. Mr. McClimans, of Staniak Road, was 57.
Mr. McClimans was born in Jamestown, Pa.
He was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended ITT Technical Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
He served in the Navy.
Mr. McClimans was a project manager for computer services for the Research Foundation of the State University of New York for more than 20 years until retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Stanley McClimans, whom he married June 29, 1986; three sons, Gregory Tripp of Las Vegas, Nev., Eric M. McClimans of Mechanicville and Justin Lenihan of Saratoga Springs; two brothers, Stanley McClimans of Kilgore, Texas, and Ronald McClimans of Jamestown, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara Randolph of Melbourne, Fla., and Rae Marie McLaughlin of Greenville, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Assumption-St. Paul Church in Mechanicville.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 7 to 9 tonight, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park.
Burial will be in Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville.

Roger Kolberg, Sr.
GLENVILLE - Services were held for Roger C. Kolberg, Sr., 53, of Pleasantview Avenue, who died Oct. 17 at the Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center Hospital in Albany after a long illness.
Born in Minot, N.D., Mr. Kolberg had lived in the Capital Region for the past 39 years. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central High School.
He was a route driver for Millbrook and later for Interstate Brands Inc. for many years before he became disabled in 1982.
Mr. Kolberg was a Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sharon Kolberg; two sons, Eric Kolberg and Roger C. Kolberg, Jr., both of Glenville; and two sisters, Joy Struckness of Minot, N.D., and Jana Kolberg of Utah.
There are no calling hours.
Burial was in the Saratoga National Cemetery.

Robert Knaupp
NORTH GREENBUSH - Robert E. Knaupp, who was a mortgage broker for Hudson River Mortgage Company in Albany, died Monday at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home. Mr. Knaupp, of Zelenke Drive, was 41.
Born in Troy, Mr. Knaupp was a longtime city resident and had lived in North Greenbush for the past three years.
He attended Troy High School, Hudson Valley Community College and Empire State College. He was manager of the North Greenbush Men's Over 30 Basketball League.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Picarazzi Knaupp; a son, Robert John Knaupp of North Greenbush; a daughter, Carrie S. Knaupp of North Greenbush; his mother, Theresa Cushing Knaupp of Troy; and two brothers, John J. Knaupp of Troy and his twin, Richard A. Knaupp of Schenectady.
A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Bryce Funeral Home, Pawling at Maple avenues in Troy, followed at 1 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.

Raymond Ellis
ROTTERDAM - Raymond F. Ellis, who was a tool crib worker for the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, died Monday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a long illness. Mr. Ellis, of Sherman Street, was 88.
Born in Oneonta, Mr. Ellis had lived in the Schenectady area since 1931. He was a graduate of Oneonta High School.
He was a member of Annie Schaeffer Senior Citizens, the General Electric Quarter Century Club and the Schenectady Masonic Lodge 1174.
His wife, Gladys Crary Ellis, died in 1991.
Survivors include two sisters, Frances E. Todd of Keene, N.H., and Edna Reel of Burdett; and a brother, Robert Ellis of Montello, Wis.
Spring burial will be in Ballston Spa Cemetery. There are no other services.
Contributions may be made to the Annie Schaeffer Senior Center or Community Hospice of Schenectady.
Arrangements are by the Griswold Funeral Home, Schenectady.

Olivia Wagner
ALBANY - Olivia Brooke Wagner of Valley Drive, West Sand Lake, infant daughter of Maria Carbonaro and Robert R. Wagner, died Monday at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her maternal grandparents, Kathy and Joseph Carbonaro of Troy; and her paternal grandparents, Caron and Robert E. Wagner Jr. of West Sand Lake.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery. Attendees will meet at the Brunswick Road, Troy, gate before the service.

Mark E. Schwabrow
AMSTERDAM - Private services will be held for Mark E. Schwabrow, 34, of Auriesville Road, town of Glen, who died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Amsterdam, Mr. Schwabrow was a lifelong area resident and attended Fonda-Fultonville and Amsterdam schools.
He was a diesel mechanic and had recently worked at the Mohawk Valley Trucking and Leasing Co. of Amsterdam.
Mr. Schwabrow was a Protestant.
Survivors include two sons, Joshua Mark and Samuel Karl Schwabrow, both of Snow Camp, N.C.; a daughter, Julia Marie Schwabrow of Snow Camp, N.C.; his mother and stepfather, Claudia and Richard Bielecki of Amsterdam; his father and stepmother, Willis and Susan Schwabrow of Johnstown; a brother, Robert Schwabrow of Broadalbin; his maternal grandmother, Irene DeGroff of Amsterdam; and his paternal grandmother, Gretchen Schwabrow of Fort Plain.
Cremation will take place in Vale Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady.

Lisa Desell
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Lisa Desell, who was a bus aid for Northland Transportation, died Monday at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Desell, of DeGraff Street, was 32.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Desell was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Desell was a former member of Mont Pleasant Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald P. Desell, whom she married July 25, 1997; her mother, Katherine Taber Khah of Schenectady; two brothers, Eric R. and Raymond D. Lupinski Jr., both of Schenectady; two sisters, Linda Lupinski of Vero Beach, Fla., and Cindy Lupinski of Schenectady; and her grandmother, Margaret Taber of Schenectady.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bond Funeral Home, at Broadway and Guilderland Avenue.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Schenectady Memorial Park.
