Leo Dalpe, Sr.
CLIFTON PARK - Leo P. Dalpe, Sr., who worked at Iroquois Millwork in Albany for 32 years, died Tuesday at Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Dalpe, of Sitterly Road, was 77.
Born and educated in Cohoes, Mr. Dalpe lived in Waterford before moving to Clifton Park.
He retired from Iroquois Millwork in 1985. He was also employed by Barclay Home Products in Cohoes.
Mr. Dalpe was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a medical technician. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church in Waterford and was a member of its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Bechard Dalpe; a son, Leo P. Dalpe, Jr. of Waterford; and two grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford, and at 9 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, Waterford.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery.

John Homiak, Jr.
PORTER CORNERS - John J. Homiak, Jr., who was a printer for The Saratogian newspaper in Saratoga Springs for more than 25 years, died Tuesday at home after a short illness. Mr. Homiak, of Allen Road, was 65.
Born in Troy, Mr. Homiak lived in Porter Corners for many years. He was a 1955 graduate of Saratoga High School.
From 1955 to 1959, he was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force.
Mr. Homiak was also an aircraft mechanic for the Air National Guard in Scotia, serving in the North and South Pole regions and the Azores Islands.
After retiring, he worked part time for the town of Greenfield.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Nancy Jones Homiak; his mother, Wilma Hoysradt Homiak of Greenfield Center; and a son, Daryl J. Homiak of Watertown, Mass.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Densmore Funeral Home, 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth, where a calling hour will begin at noon.
Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield Center.

Helen Lehman
GLENVILLE - Private services will be held for Mrs. Helen W. Lehman, who was a clerk at the former Barney's store in Schenectady for many years. Mrs. Lehman, 86, of Wyatt Drive, died Monday at the Glendale Nursing Home after a short illness.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Lehman was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Lehman was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a Protestant.
Her husband of 51 years, Ernest W. Lehman, died in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Bell of Ballston Spa; a sister, Betty Fowler of Schenectady; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at the Parkview Crematory, Schenectady.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by the White Funeral Home, Scotia.

Edward Bazan
SCHENECTADY - Edward J. Bazan, who was a watch engineer for the General Electric Co. at its power station, died Tuesday at the Hallmark Nursing Center in Rotterdam. Mr. Bazan, formerly of Hendrickson Avenue, was 91.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mr. Bazan was a longtime Schenectady resident.
He retired from GE in 1970.
Mr. Bazan served in the National Guard in the 1930s.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
Mr. Bazan was a member of the Church of Saint Adalbert and its Holy Name Society.
He was the widower of Jane Stuczko Bazan, who died in 1966.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Kania Bazan; two daughters, Patricia Sasenbury of Syracuse and Judith Costello of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Elizabeth Kelly and Virginia LaMalfa, both of Schenectady; a brother, Ernest Bazan of Rensselaer; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., followed at 11 a.m. at the Church of Saint Adalbert, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Carolyn M. Stradone
SCOTIA - Mrs. Carolyn M. Stradone, who was a cafeteria monitor at Scotia-Glenville High School, died Monday at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Stradone, of Wallace Street, was 68.
Mrs. Stradone was born in Johnstown. She worked for the Carl Co. in Glenville for several years as an assistant sales manager.
Mrs. Stradone was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, the Civil Service Employees Association and the Retired Public Employees Association.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Raymond Stradone; a son, Mark Stradone of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Raeann Stradone of Miami, Fla.; a brother, Alfred Alfini of Gloversville; two sisters, Anna Palmer of Schenectady and Marilyn Hamm of Cleveland, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
The services will be held on Friday at a time to be announced at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Joseph's Church, First Street.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Schenectady Memorial Park.

Benito `Ben' Scocco
GLOVERSVILLE - Benito A. "Ben" Scocco, who worked for the former Decca, now MCA, Record Co. for 39 years, died Monday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Mr. Scocco, of Lee Avenue, was 72.
Born in Flushing, Mr. Scocco graduated from high school there.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific on the USS Dayton.
He retired from Decca in 1993 as printing department manager.
He was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church.
Mr. Scocco was a member of the Adirondack Printers Association, the Johnstown Moose lodge, the Johnstown Fifty-Plus Senior Citizens Club and the Moose Golf League. He was a former member of the Concordia Singing Society, Eagles Aerie and Catholic War Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Geri Priolo Scocco, whom he married Sept. 4, 1955; a daughter, Donna Mazzeo of Albany; a son, Pete Scocco of Gloversville; a sister, Theresa Mueller of Glen Cove; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., followed at 9:30 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Angelo Colaruotolo
DENNIS PORT, Mass. - Angelo Alexander Colaruotolo, who was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a medic, died Sunday at High Point Regional Hospital in North Carolina after a short illness. Mr. Colaruotolo, of Dennis Port, was 65.
Born in Cohoes, Mr. Colaruotolo was a Cohoes High School graduate.
Mr. Colaruotolo had been an independent furniture representative for the past 19 years and was a member of the Home Furnishing Association of New England.
He was the widower of Rose Colaruotolo.
Survivors include a son, Jay Colaruotolo of Michigan; two daughters, Pamela Kenyon of Schenectady and Stephanie Barrett of Ontario, Canada; six sisters, Carmella Carnibucci, Josephine Turcotte, Tina Riccio, and Alice Grilli, all of Cohoes, Frances DiTucci of Rochester, and Rose Marie DiTucci of Connecticut; two brothers, Frank Colaruotolo of Cohoes and Domiano Colaruotolo of North Troy; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Marra Funeral Home, corner of Remsen and Columbia streets, Cohoes, followed at 10 a.m. at St. Rita's Church, Cohoes, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.

Adah Bobilin
SCHENECTADY - Miss Adah Dorothy Bobilin, who was a captain in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for more than 20 years, died Monday at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home, after a long illness. Miss Bobilin, formerly of Elmer Avenue, was 81.
Born in Washington D.C., Miss Bobilin was a longtime Schenectady resident.
She earned a bachelor's degree in history.
Miss Bobilin received the World War II Victory Metal and the American Area Ribbon.
She was a Methodist.
Miss Bobilin is survived by a nephew, John Doyle of Willsboro.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Baxter-Andrew Funeral Home, 1867 State St.
A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the German Methodist Cemetery.

Gordon Chesebro
GLOVERSVILLE - A private service will be held for Gordon B. Chesebro, 67, of East Fulton Street, who was a floor-covering mechanic and carpenter in the Tri-City area. Mr. Cheseboro died Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Chesebro was a former resident of Guilderland and Esperance. He attended school in Albany and Guilderland.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Westervelt Chesebro; two sons, Larry Chesebro of Sprakers and Ed Chesebro of Guilderland; a daughter, Jacquelyn Zimmer of Esperance; two sisters, Ruth Weldon of Colonie and Marion Furbeck of Guilderland; a brother, LeRoy Chesebro Jr. of Guilderland; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Jean Reid Acker
TROY - Mrs. Jean Reid Acker, 86, of Burdett Avenue, died Saturday at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long illness.
Born in Troy, Mrs. Acker had lived in Troy, Averill Park and Valley Falls. She had resided at the Eddy since 1994.
She was educated at Miss Thiessen's School in Troy; Emma Willard School; Smith College, where she earned her bachelor's degree; and the University at Albany, where she earned her master's degree.
Mrs. Acker worked for John L. Thompson for several years and later for the New York state Department of Commerce at the state library for 20 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Troy Women's Club, Ilium Literary Club, Business and Professional Women, Troy Chromatic Concerts, Valley Falls Methodist Church and Church of the Covenant in Averill Park.
Mrs. Acker was the widow of Albert A. Acker.
Survivors include her sister, Eleanor Reid of Troy.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Covenant, Route 43, Averill Park.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Bryce Funeral Home, corner of Pawling and Maple avenues.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
