Blanche Fuller
PALATINE BRIDGE - Mrs. Blanche K. Fuller, 90, formerly of Canajoharie, died Thursday at the Palatine Nursing Home.
Born in Canajoharie, Mrs. Fuller was a lifelong area resident who attended local schools.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Fuller was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was the widow of Leon G. Spraker.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Fuller, whom she married in 1972, and two stepdaughters, Nancy Anderson of Washington state and Judy Clancy of South Carolina.
The service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery, Canajoharie.

E. Philip Roddy
SCHENECTADY - E. Philip Roddy, 64, of Princetown Road, Rotterdam, died Thursday at Ellis Hospital.
Born in Troy, Mr. Roddy moved to Schenectady in 1966.
He was a 1956 graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy.
Mr. Roddy was retired.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Costello Roddy; two daughters, Kimberly Roddy-Miele and Katherine Roddy, both of Scotia; three sons, Philip and David Roddy, both of Schenectady, and Stephen Roddy of Scotia; three brothers, William Roddy of Waterford, Donald Roddy of Saratoga Springs and Larry Roddy of South Carolina; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A private memorial service will be held in Oakwood Chapel in Troy for immediate family.
There are no calling hours.

Earle K. Moore, lawyer
NEW YORK - Earle K. "Dick" Moore, a lawyer who won a landmark 1964 suit challenging the license renewal of a Mississippi television station for discriminating against blacks, died Saturday after a long bout with cancer. He was 79.
In 1964, Moore became involved with an effort to challenge the license renewal of WLBT-TV in Jackson, Miss., an NBC affiliate.
He applied what at that time was a radical interpretation of communications law: that TV stations were obligated to serve their viewers in the public interest.
Moore first petitioned the Federal Communications Commission over the license.
Rejected by the FCC, he waged a successful court fight to bring in new ownership for the station's license.

Eleanor Lanzi Mancini
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Eleanor Lanzi Mancini, who was an inspector for the General Electric Co. for 15 years before retiring, died Thursday at Glens Falls Hospital. Mrs. Mancini, of Romeyn Avenue, was 76.
Born in Amsterdam, Mrs. Mancini attended local schools.
Mrs. Mancini volunteered for the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Wilkinson Health Care Facility Activities Department. She volunteered as a cook for retreats at the Auriesville Shrine of North American Martyrs.
She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and a member of the church choir.
Adam T. Mancini Sr., whom she married Aug. 22, 1948, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Adam Mancini of Amsterdam; two daughters, Cristina Harter of Stamford, Conn., and Geri Mancini of Guilford, Conn.; two brothers, Lawrence Lanzi of Amsterdam and Herman S. Lanzi of Parrish, Fla.; two sisters, Louise LoBalbo and Madeline Duchessi, both of Amsterdam; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave.
Private burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Auriesville Shrine or the Amsterdam Library, both in care of the funeral home.

John D. Hoffey
AMSTERDAM - John D. Hoffey, who owned and operated the former Jack Frost Motel and the Palatine Bridge Motel in Palatine Bridge for many years, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Hoffey, of Woodrow Road, was 55.
Mr. Hoffey was born and educated in Poughkeepsie.
He moved to the Palatine Bridge area in the late 1960s. He had resided in Amsterdam since retiring.
He was in the Army, serving in Korea from 1964 to 1968.
he was a member of the former Club East.
Survivors include a son, John Hoffey Jr. of Saugerties; a brother, James Maher of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, JoAnn Maher of Millbrook and Marilyn Bialise of Clinton Corners; a grandchild; five step-grandchildren; and his companion of six years, Linette Skonieczny of Amsterdam.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave.
A calling hour will precede the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Joseph F. DiFabbio
ROTTERDAM - Joseph F. DiFabbio, who was a mason for more than 50 years for the Bricklayers and Allied Crafts Union in Albany, died Thursday at his daughter's home in Glenville after a short illness. Mr. DiFabbio, of Edgewood Avenue, was 90.
Born in Citta Sant-Angelo, Italy, Mr. DiFabbio lived in Rotterdam for more than 50 years.
Mr. DiFabbio was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
His wife, Mary Gallucci DiFabbio, whom he married June 26, 1935, died in 1977.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence F. DiFabbio of Schenectady; three daughters, Deanna Capovani of Glenville, Camille Brady of Georgetown, Mass. and Louise DiFabbio of Schenectady; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Princetown Road.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in St. Cyrils Cemetery.

Louis P. Martin
TROY - Louis Paul Martin, 71, of Calhoun Drive, died Wednesday at home.
Mr. Martin was born in Watervliet and graduated from Watervliet High School.
He was a truck and bus driver for Trailways in Albany and worked at the Northway Exchange in Clifton Park. He also worked in the maintenance department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 13 years before retiring.
Mr. Martin served in the Army from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of the Waterford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He was a member of the Friends of the Oakwood Cemetery Association and a former member of the Latham Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Dufresne Martin, whom he married July 2, 1978; three sons, Paul Martin of Alabama, Bruce Martin of Reading, Pa., and Robert McIntosh of Greenfield Center; three daughters, Rose Stevens of Gansevoort, Lynn Morey of Tampa, Fla., and Lisa Martin of Troy; a sister, Rosemarie Pemrick of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville. Calling hours are from 1 p.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Marian Premerlani
SCOTIA - Mrs. Marian McLain Premerlani, who was head housekeeper and hostess at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Mass. for 20 years, died Tuesday at the Baptist Health Center. Mrs. Premerlani, of Woodhaven Drive, was 89.
Mrs. Premerlani was born in Great Barrington, Mass.
She was a former employee of Rising Paper Mills.
Mrs. Premerlani worked at the Glenville McDonald's restaurant from 1985 to 1995. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic, Mass., and the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville.
Her husband, Peter Premerlani, died in 1964.
Survivors include a son, Dr. William Premerlani of Glenville; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville.
Burial will be in St. Bridgit's Cemetery, Great Barrington.

Mildred Schultz
FONDA - Private services will be held for Miss Mildred R. Schultz, 79, of Barber Street, who died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam after a short illness.
Born in Albany, Miss Schultz was a graduate of Albany High School. She moved to Fonda in 1974.
Miss Schultz was a lab technician for the New York state Department of Health in Albany. She was later a weekend cook and housekeeper for the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Shrine in Fonda.
She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Herbie Schultz of Albany; and three sisters, Margaret Rakebrano of Westmere, Pearl Bensinger of Albany and Jean Schultz of California.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Albany.
Arrangements are by the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, Fultonville.

Rita Macken
WATERVLIET - Mrs. Rita Corbett Macken, 75, of Watervliet, died on Wednesday.
Mrs. Macken was born in Watervliet and moved to Latham in 1938. She returned to Watervliet in 1972.
Mrs. Macken worked for the Cluett & Peabody Co. in Troy for 12 years. She subsequently worked for the state Department of Health for more than 10 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a communicant of St. Brigid's Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She was a former member of the St. Ambrose Altar Rosary Society.
Mrs. Macken was a member of the Southern Tier Senior Center in Schodack and the Dyken Pond Lake Association.
She was the widow of John J. Corbett and Theodore D. Macken.
Survivors include two daughters, Marian R. Corbett and Rita A. Fahr, both of Watervliet; two sons, John J. Corbett of Portsmouth, R.I., and Edward J. Macken of Watervliet; a brother, Joseph T. Hogan of Latham; a sister, Charlene Leach of Stuyvesant; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, and at 11 at St. Brigid's Church, Fourth Avenue, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours are from 4 this afternoon until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Colonie.
