Donald Hackert
AMSTERDAM - Donald H. Hackert, 70, of Garden Street, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.
Born and educated in Amsterdam, Mr. Hackert worked for the New York Central Railroad.
He served in the Army from 1954 to 1957.
Mr. Hackert was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and the former St. Joseph's Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Cain Hackert, whom he married in 1975; a brother, John R. Hackert of Colonie; and a sister, Genevieve DeForest of Amsterdam.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Riley Mortuary, 110 Division St., where calling hours will be from 9 to 11.

Dorothy I. LaChance
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Dorothy I. LaChance, 96, formerly of Waukegan, Ill., died Friday at the Wesley Health Care Center.
Mrs. LaChance was born in Waukegan. She moved to Ballston Spa in 1995.
Mrs. LaChance was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge 706 Ladies Auxiliary in Waukegan.
She was married to the late Raymond LaChance.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond LaChance of Ballston Spa and Maurice LaChance of Illinois; a daughter, Beverly May of Hot Springs, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ashley Cemetery, Bliss Road, Galway.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Armer Funeral Home, 39 E. High St., Ballston Spa.

Edward Reven
RICHMONDVILLE - Edward A. Reven, 71, of Raven Road in the town of Richmondville, died at home Friday.
Born in Oneonta, Mr. Reven lived his early life in Richmondville and attended Richmondville Central School.
He returned here from Groton, Mass., after retiring in 1995.
Mr. Reven was employed for 27 years as a farmer at Gibbet Hill Farm in Groton.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Tucker Reven, whom he married Aug. 8, 1952; three sons, John Reven of Sacramento, Calif., Matthew Reven of Naperville, Ill., and Christopher Reven of Hudson, N.H.; two daughters, Debra Austin of Glendale, Ariz., and Gail Reven of Leominster, Mass.; and nine grandchildren.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Main Street.
Burial will be in East Worcester Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home, 1 Chapel St., Cobleskill.

Elizabeth Teetz
GLOVERSVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth L. Teetz, 74, of Harrison Street, died Friday at her daughter's home in the town of Glen after a long illness.
Mrs. Teetz was born in Amsterdam.
She worked at Beech-Nut Foods in Canajoharie for many years before retiring in 1971.
Mrs. Teetz was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 642 Auxiliary and the Gloversville 55+ Senior Citizens.
She was a Catholic.
She was married to Howard Teetz, who died in 1989.
Survivors include a son, William R. Dievindorf of Currytown; two daughters, Catherine I. Macek of Glen and Cheryle E. Morgan of Bradenton, Fla.; a stepson, Charles H. Siegle of Fort Plain; a sister, Marilyn E. Gilbertson of Colonie; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her companion of 10 years, Salvatore V. Caporossi of Gloversville.
Services will be held at 7 tonight at the Amico Funeral Home, 150 S. Main St. Calling hours will be from 5 this afternoon until 7 tonight at the funeral home, where the CWV and its auxiliary will meet at 6 and the 55+ Seniors will meet at 6:30.
Cremation will take place at the Leatherstocking Crematory in Cherry Valley.

Gary J. Gates
BALLSTON SPA - Gary J. Gates, 52, of Lee Street, died suddenly Saturday at his home.
Mr. Gates was born in Ballston Spa.
A contractor, he owned and operated Gates Builders.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Compton Gates; a son, Gary Gates Jr. of Ballston Spa; a daughter, Sara Lynn Gates of Ballston Spa; a stepson, Jon Meers of Ballston Spa; his mother, Elsie Gates of Ballston Spa; two sisters, Carol Cleveland of Ballston Spa and Donna Hartman of Edinboro, Pa.; and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Armer Funeral Home, 39 E. High St., preceded by calling hours from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Ballston Spa Fire Department, P.O. Box 104, Ballston Spa 12020, in memory of Mr. Gates.

Josephine Mazur
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Josephine Galaska Mazur, 86, of McCleary Avenue, died Saturday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after being stricken.
Born in Amsterdam, Mrs. Mazur was a lifelong area resident and a 1933 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.
At one time, she was employed by Mohawk Carpet Mills. Later, she worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady until retiring in 1977.
Mrs. Mazur was a member and financial secretary of the Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church. She was a member of its Chopin Choir, the Ladies' Adoration Society of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the MK Society.
She also was a member and officer of the Polish National Union of America Branch 168 and the IUE Union 301.
Recently, Mrs. Mazur taught Polish cooking at Good Shepherd Church and the Baptist Retirement Center in Scotia.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Mazur, whom she married June 1, 1935; two daughters, Shirley Mazur Zawistowski of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Eileen Mazur Pratt of Amsterdam; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Amsterdam Funeral Chapel, 13 Belmont Place, and at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA or to the church in care of the funeral chapel.

Michael F. Noonan
STILLWATER - Michael Francis Noonan, 52, of Castle Drive, formerly of Cohoes, died Friday at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany.
Mr. Noonan was born and educated in Cohoes. He graduated from the former Keveny Memorial Academy.
He received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Siena College in 1972.
Mr. Noonan was self-employed. He had previously been manager of purchasing and marketing at Computer Science Corp. in Albany.
He was a former communicant of St. Bernard's Parish in Cohoes, past president of the Stillwater Board of Education and a member of the American Management Association and the Purchasing Managers Association.
Survivors include a sister, Ann Rowland of St. Elmo, Ill.; a brother, Thomas G. Noonan of Hamburg, N.J.; and his companion, Helen Granich.
Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, and at 9:30 at St. Bernard's Church, Cohoes, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.

Patricia Bartels
CLIFTON PARK - Mrs. Patricia Bartels, 71, of Plaid Place, died Friday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken.
Mrs. Bartels was born in Schenectady and moved to Brandon, Vt., at an early age. She was a graduate of Brandon High School.
Later, she returned to the Capital Region and worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady as an administrative assistant.
Mrs. Bartels was a member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Richard D. Bartels, died in 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Garry Bartels of Apex, N.C., Richard A. Bartels of Downingtown, Pa., and Douglas Bartels of Clifton Park; a brother, Thomas Farr of Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, 971 Route 146.
Burial will be in Jonesville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9.

Robert W. Webster
QUEENSBURY - Robert William Webster, 79, of Wayne Court, died Friday at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. Webster was a longtime resident of Saratoga Springs.
He was employed for 20 years by the Espey Manufacturing Co. as an electronic packaging designer.
Mr. Webster also worked at Tele-Resources in Clifton Park.
An Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, he served in Europe with the 8th Air Force and was discharged as a sergeant.
Mr. Webster was a member of the Gurtler Bros. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 420 in Saratoga Springs and a communicant and usher at the church of Our Lady of the Annunciation.
His wife, Frances Filakovsky Webster, died October 26.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Webster Halbert of Ridgefield, Conn., Robin Webster Wendell of Queensbury and Michele Webster Yager of Gansevoort; a son, Allan Webster of Davie, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, 448 Aviation Road.
Burial with military honors will be private in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 this afternoon at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs.

Mary Mancini, 92, operated Mancini's Grocery Store
PALATINE BRIDGE - Mrs. Mary Gotti Mancini, operated Mancini's Grocery Store in Palatine Bridge from 1931 until 1954, died Sunday at the Palatine Nursing Home. Mrs. Mancini, of West Skyline Drive, was 92.
Born in Brown Station, Ulster County, Mrs. Mancini lived in Canajoharie and attended school there. She was also a resident of Palatine Bridge.
Mrs. Mancini was active in the Mancini family real estate business for many years. She was a member of St. Peter and St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Canajoharie. She also played the church organ in her younger years.
Mrs. Mancini was a member of the Palatine Literary Society.
Her husband, Rocco T. Mancini, whom she married May 6, 1928, died last year.
Survivors include three sons, Alfonso R. Mancini of Penfield, Monroe County, Ralph G. Mancini of Guilderland and Rocco T. Mancini of Palatine Bridge; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Mancini of Newton, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, and at 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter and St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Cliff Street, Canajoharie. Calling hours will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Spring burial will be in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery.
