Alan E. Buhrmaster
GANSEVOORT - Private services will be held for Alan E. Buhrmaster, 52, of Kingsley Avenue, who died Thursday at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Buhrmaster was born in Amsterdam and had been a resident of Gansevoort since 1989.
He was a former Amsterdam policeman.
Mr. Buhrmaster was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked for Durrin Transportation in Schuylerville and was also a local disc jockey.
Mr. Buhrmaster was a member of the Booster Club at Schuylerville Central School and was active with school athletic programs.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Beach Buhrmaster; a son, Shane Buhrmaster of Gansevoort; and two daughters, Jamie Buhrmaster of Schuylerville and Melanie Bunch of Hamburg.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Flynn Brothers Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. Members of the Schuyler Hose Company and Auxiliary will meet at 7.
Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Albert J. Rouse
FONDA - Albert J. Rouse Jr., 51, of Pavlus Lane, died Wednesday after being stricken on Carlisle Road in the town of Root.
Mr. Rouse was a lifelong area resident.
He was born in Little Falls and educated in Canajoharie schools.
For the past four years, Mr. Rouse was a truck driver for the Montgomery County Department of Public Works.
Previously, he was a truck driver for the town of Mohawk.
Mr. Rouse was an Army veteran, serving with the medical corps in Alaska.
Survivors include a son, Albert R. Rouse of Fonda; a daughter, Jennifer L. Rouse of Fonda; two sisters, Dawn A. Hicks of Fultonville and Marion L. Boyer of Stratford; a brother, Max D. Scott of Bremerton, Wash.; and his companion, Kathy L. Green of Fonda.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of the Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego St., Canajoharie.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Anthony Lasky
AMSTERDAM - Anthony John (Mozelewski) Lasky, 84, of Grand Street, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Lasky was a 1936 graduate of Amsterdam High School and a lifelong area resident. He also attended the former Albany Business School.
Mr. Lasky was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. He was a member of American Legion Post 701.
He worked in the auto carpet department for the former Mohawk Carpet Mills. He was later a warehouse supervisor for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles from 1952 until retiring in 1982.
Mr. Lasky was a member of Club 60 at St. Mary's Hospital, the American Heritage Association and the Civil Service Employees Association.
He was a communicant of St. John's Roman Catholic Church and a member of its St. John Society. He was a vice president of the former St. John's Club and a member of the St. Michael's Society.
Mr. Lasky played semiprofessional basketball with the former St. John's team and the former Amsterdam Textiles team.
His grandson, Stephen Delongchamp, died last year.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dybas Lasky, whom he married Jan. 20, 1946; a son, Richard A. Lasky of Latham; a daughter, Kathleen S. Delongchamp of Amsterdam; and eight grandchildren.
The services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., and at 11 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John's Church, Vanderveer St. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be with full military honors in St. John's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Delongchamp Scholarship Fund or St. John's Cemetery Fund.

Christopher P. Yusko
MIDDLE GROVE - Christopher Paul Yusko, 33, of 2792 Shaw Road, died Tuesday at The Brigham Hospital in Boston as a result of cancer.
Mr. Yusko was born in Nyack.
He moved to Caroga Lake in 1972. He attended Wheelerville Union Free School and was a 1986 graduate of Johnstown High School.
Mr. Yusko worked for Frank's Heavy Duty Truck Repair and Towing on Midline Road in Amsterdam for 15 years.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Lee Thompson of Gloversville; a son, Christopher P. Yusko Jr. of Middle Grove; a daughter, Amanda Lee Yusko of Gloversville; a sister, Victoria Ann Yusko of Schenectady; two brothers, Frank G. Yusko Jr. and Scott Thompson, both of Gloversville; his grandparents, Evelyn A. and Donald W. Lent, both of Gloversville; and his fiancee, Tracy Goossens of Middle Grove.
A graveside memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 1, at North Bush Cemetery, North Bush Road, Caroga Lake.
Cremation took place in Boston.
Arrangements are by the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home in Johnstown.

Dora Abel
CANAJOHARIE - Mrs. Dora M. Abel, 94, of Timmerman Avenue, formerly of Canajoharie and Fort Plain, died Wednesday at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Oppenheim, Mrs. Abel was educated at the former Oppenheim Country School. She moved to St. Johnsville last year. She also lived at Arkell Hall in Canajoharie at one time.
She was a cafeteria operator at the former Luxuray Mill in Fort Plain for 33 years.
Mrs. Abel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Plain.
Her first husband, Lelon Davis, died in 1928.
She later married Ralph Abel in 1931. He died in 1976.
Survivors include a son, Arthur L. Davis of Fort Plain; and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center St., Fort Plain. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.

Edward N. Montville
SCHENECTADY - Edward Nelson Montville, 52, of Congress Street, died Friday at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Montville lived in Gloversville at one time.
He was a restaurant worker at the state Capitol Building in Albany.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa A. Pelligrino and Lynn M. Montville, both of Gloversville; two sons, Edward N. Montville Jr. of New Jersey and Jason J. Montville of Gloversville; a stepdaughter, Lisa Almy of Schenectady; two brothers, Elmer Montville of Greenfield Center and Robert Montville of Schenectady; five sisters, Liza VanEtten of West Milton, Linda Coons of Kentucky, Brenda Hendricks of Kentucky and Patricia Keefe and Lisa Montville, both of Schenectady; four grandchildren; and his fiancee, Gloria Westcott of Schenectady.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

Elizabeth Stevens
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Private services will be held for Mrs. Elizabeth Stevens, 90, of East Harrison Street, who died Thursday at the Maplewood Manor Nursing Home in Ballston Spa.
Born in Belfast, Ireland, Mrs. Stevens lived in Greenwich before moving to Saratoga Springs during the mid-1930s.
Her husband, Robert V. Stevens, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Stevens of Ballston Spa; a sister, Jeanette Sciurba of Schuylerville; and two grandchildren.

Ethel Hamel
SCHOHARIE - Mrs. Ethel I. Hamel, 75, Parsonage Pines Apartments, died Wednesday at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
Born in Roseboom, Mrs. Hamel was raised in Sharon Springs and attended Sharon Springs Central School.
She had lived in Schoharie since 1991 and had previously lived in Cobleskill and Middleburgh.
Mrs. Hamel was a homemaker.
Survivors include seven daughters, Alexandria, Donna and Gloria Hamel, all of Denver, Colo., Jaquolyn Lionard of Rensselaer, Cynthia Butler of Rock Hill, S.C., Maragrita Helzer of York, S.C., and Karen Hamel of Littleton, Colo.; a son, Russell Hamel of East Greenbush; and two sisters, Evelyn Wilcox of Cobleskill and Betty Jane Meade of Chestertown.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Seward Valley Cemetery, Dorloo.

Hyman Glick
EDINBURG - Hyman Glick, 82, of Sinclair Road, died Thursday at home after a long illness.
Mr. Glick was born in Latvia.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
Mr. Glick was an accountant for the New York City Rent Commission, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Long Glick; two sons, Norman Glick of San Mateo, Calif., and Gary Glick of Portland, Maine; a daughter, Barbara Glick Read of Woodstock, Vt.; a brother, Harry Glick of New York City; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Robinson Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Northville Funeral Service.

James Sponable
JOHNSTOWN - James Sponable, 91, of Trackside Homes, died at home Thursday after being stricken.
Mr. Sponable was born in Oppenheim.
He was a highway construction supervisor for the Fulton County Highway Department until retiring.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held at 1 this afternoon at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main St.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Inghams Mills Cemetery.
