Lorraine T. Filisko
COBLESKILL - Mrs. Lorraine T. Filisko, 62, of Colonial Village, Route 7, died Friday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County.
Mrs. Filisko was born in West Hartford, Conn. A former resident of Newtown, Conn., she spent summers in the Cobleskill area for 16 years before moving here permanently in 1996.
Mrs. Filisko was a communicant of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Trumbull, Conn.
Survivors include her husband, George P. Filisko, whom she married Nov. 30, 1957; two daughters, Linda Belinski of Denver, Colo., and Karen Bishop of Sharon Springs; a son, Gregory Filisko of Richmondville; and three grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 68 Elm St., where a calling hour will begin at noon. Burial will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.

`Jack' Lindsay
ROTTERDAM - John "Jack" Lindsay, 81, of Owen Road, died Friday at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady after a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Lindsay was a graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School.
During World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces as a corporal with the 314th Fighter Squadron.
Mr. Lindsay also was a graduate of the Aeronautics School in Columbus, Ohio.
For more than 32 years, he was employed by the Skyway Garage in Rotterdam as an auto mechanic.
Later, Mr. Lindsay worked for 12 years for Orange Mazda, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 2157, the Schenectady Masons Lodge 1174, the Woestina Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the Fellow Craft Club, where he was a former longtime secretary and treasurer.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Chichester Lindsay, whom he married Dec. 1, 1945; a daughter, Sandra Hughes of Rotterdam; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Schenectady Memorial Park.

Dorothea King
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Dorothea Kimmerly King, 89, of North Ferry Street, died at home Saturday.
Born in Latham, Mrs. King was an area resident most of her life.
She was a graduate of Schenectady High School and received a bachelor's degree from the New York State Teachers College at Albany and a master's degree from the State University at Oneonta.
Mrs. King was a teacher for several years at the Horace Mann School and Howe School, retiring in 1977.
She was a life member of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and the Annie Schaffer Senior Center and a member of the board of directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Mrs. King also was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, the Schenectady Arts Society, the Sunnyview Hospital Auxiliary, the Schenectady Symphony, the Schenectady Civic Players, the Stockade Association, and the New York State and Schenectady County retired teachers associations.
Her husband, J. Grant King, died in 1962.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia King Dandrew of Amsterdam; a son, James G. King of Niskayuna; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union St.
There will be no services.
Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory.

Edward Helo, Sr.
ALBANY - Edward J. Helo, Sr., 69, of North Allen Street, died Thursday at St. Peter's Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Helo was born in Albany. He attended St. Ann's School and graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. He worked for the Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Co. in Schenectady for 40 years, retiring in 1998 as a distributor.
Mr. Helo was a member of Operating Engineers Local 106 and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Burke Helo; three sons, Joseph M. Helo of Schenectady, Edward J. Helo, Jr. of Rutland, Vt., and Mark J. Helo of New Baltimore; a daughter, Melissa A. Helo of Selkirk; a sister, Freda E. Helo of Albany; a brother, Alfred M. Helo of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., and at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Frederick `Mike' Brunick
EAGLE BRIDGE - Frederick "Mike" Brunick, 58, of Route 67, died Friday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Mr. Brunick was born in North Troy and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Before retiring, he was a cook at Russell Sage College in Troy.
Mr. Brunick was a member of the Tomhannock Methodist Church.
He served in the Army in Germany from 1962 to 1965.
Survivors include a son, Floyd Brunick of Troy; two daughters, Linda Loomis of Schuylerville and Jean Gardner of Troy; a sister, Anita Bowers of Malta; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chase Funeral Home, 173 Main St., Schaghticoke.
Burial will be in Tomhannock Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Gaetano Donatantonio
ALBANY - Gaetano Donatantonio, 88, of Ten Eyck Avenue, died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital after being stricken.
Mr. Donatantonio was born in Salerno, Italy, and was a self-employed tailor in Italy.
He came to this country in 1955 and worked for the Amalgamated Union until his retirement in 1974.
He was the widower of Teresa Dellinavelli Donatantonio.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Donatantonio of Whiting, N.J.; three daughters, Paula Fontana of Brooklyn, and Joanne Romeo and Maria Serafini, both of Albany; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Chicorelli Funeral Home, 331 Delaware Ave., and at 9 a.m. at St. James Church, Delaware Avenue, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Entombment will be in St. Agnes Mausoleum, Menands.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Irving Plaskat
JOHNSTOWN - Irving Plaskat, 87, of the Trackside Apartments, died Thursday at his niece's home in Thurmont, Md., after a long illness.
Mr. Plaskat was born in Brooklyn.
He was an administrative assistant for the New York City Board of Water Supply until 1967 when he moved to Hope Falls. He worked for the Gloversville Post Office from 1967 until his retirement in 1972.
Mr. Plaskat moved to Johnstown in 1985.
He was a member of the Northville American Legion Post, Northville Presbyterian Church, Fish House Masonic Lodge 298, Johnstown 50+ Senior Citizens and the Ida McGinnis Senior Citizens.
He had been a winter resident of Foley, Ala., for more than 20 years.
Mr. Plaskat was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Army with the rank of sergeant major.
His wife, Doris Story Plaskat, whom he married Sept. 26, 1943, died in 1998.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
A service is set for 10 a.m. Monday at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main St.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. The Masons will meet at the funeral home at 7.

Julia E. Sopko
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Julia E. Sopko, 79, of Lake Avenue, died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Sopko was born in Saratoga Springs.
With her husband, she co-owned the Frank Sopko Builders construction company.
She was a member of St. Clement's Church.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Frank Sopko; a daughter, Judy Coonradt of Clifton Park; three sisters, Mary Witkoski of Lakeland, Fla., Cecelia Hammond of Clifton Park and Dorothy Luskin of Stillwater; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave.
Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Lois Sweitzer
EAST GREENBUSH - Mrs. Lois Burns Sweitzer, of Chestnut Court, died Friday at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken.
Mrs. Sweitzer was born in Clinton. She had lived in East Greenbush since 1974.
She was employed as a secretary for the New York Central Railroad and the Agway Corp.
Mrs. Sweitzer was a member of the Friends of the East Greenbush Library and a communicant of the Church of St. Mary in Clinton Heights.
Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Sweitzer; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Martin of Albany and Eileen Grant of East Greenbush; two stepsons, Donald R. Sweitzer of Warwick, R.I., and Robert J. Sweitzer of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Robert J. Burns of Jamestown and William J. Burns of Utica; a sister, Dorothy (Sister Karen) Burns, OSF, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, and at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Clinton.

Marie Washburn
NAPLES, Fla. - Mrs. Marie McDonough Washburn, 85, of Naples, formerly of Colonie, died Friday at the Aristocrat in Naples.
Mrs. Washburn was born in Cohoes.
She was employed by the General Electric Co. in Schenectady as a financial assistant in the tube division until retiring in 1979 after 28 years of service.
Mrs. Washburn was a communicant of St. Clare's Church in Colonie before moving in 1987 to Naples, where she was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Church.
She was the wife of the late Joseph W. McDonough and Robert G. Washburn.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph F. McDonough of The Woodlands, Texas, and Martin J. McDonough of Pittstown, N.J.; a daughter, Maryann McNeish of Wethersfield, Conn.; two sisters, Gertrude Lobdell and Theresa DiCocco; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie.
Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
