John A. Relyea
SARATOGA SPRINGS - John A. Relyea, 75, died Saturday of congestive heart failure at Saratoga Hospital.
Born in Ballston, Mr. Relyea was a longtime resident of Saratoga Springs.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy.
Mr. Relyea owned and operated his own plumbing business and also worked for Congress Gas and The Saratogian, all of Saratoga Springs.
He was a lifetime member of the Maple Avenue Volunteer Fire Department, the Saratoga Masons, the VFW Post 420, the American Legion Post 70, and the Eagles, all of Saratoga Springs.
Mr. Relyea was a deacon and member of the First Baptist Church, Saratoga Springs.
Survivors include his son, John R. Relyea of Greenfield; two daughters, Nancy L. Relyea and Lisa M. Marshall, both of Greenfield; a sister, Alameda Hurd of Greenfield; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Post 420 in Saratoga Springs.
An anatomical gift has been made to Albany Medical College.

Katheryn Gazlay Weigele
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Katheryn Gazlay Weigele, 81, died Sunday at St. Clare's Hospital.
Born in Accord, Mrs. Weigele lived in the Kingston area before moving to Schenectady in 1942.
She worked as a retail salesperson at the former Addis & Day Store and the Boston Store, both in Schenectady, for more than 12 years.
Mrs. Weigele was a former member of the Bellevue Reformed Church.
Survivors include two children, Linda Penta of Hershey, Pa., and Joanne Snure of Guilderland; a brother, Clyde Gazlay of Lake George; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lynnwood Reformed Church, 3700 Carman Road. A gathering will precede the service at 10 at the church.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.

Mary Morse
JOHNSTOWN - Mrs. Mary Deubel Morse, 34, of North Perry Street, died suddenly Saturday at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.
Born in Yonkers, Mrs. Morse was a longtime Gloversville resident.
She worked as a clerk at "Handy Ups & Downs" in Amsterdam.
Survivors include her three daughters, Susan, Melissa and Deborah Morse, all of Fort Johnson; a sister, Debra S. Snell of St. Johnsville; and two brothers, Christopher and Alan Deubel, both of Gloversville.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.

Robert Donnelly Jr.
AMSTERDAM - Robert W. Donnelly Jr., infant son of Robert W. Donnelly Sr. and Lisa DelliVeneri of William Street, died Sunday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted.
Robert was born on April 11 in Amsterdam.
In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by three half sisters, Crystal and Libina Thomason, both of Tennessee, and Ashley Donnelly of Perth; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Donnelly and Nancy Nicholas.
Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Riley Mortuary, 110 Division St., followed at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 156 E. Main St., where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson.

Robert J. Gilson
SCHENECTADY - Robert J. Gilson, 84, formerly of State Street, died Friday at Hallmark Nursing Centre.
Mr. Gilson was born in Glens Falls and lived in Schenectady for several years.
He was a cook at the former Country Gentlemen Restaurant in Saratoga Springs and the Turf Tavern in Scotia prior to his retirement.
Mr. Gilson was an Army veteran of World War II.
There are no known survivors.
Cremation will take place at Vale Crematory.
Arrangements are by the Gleason Funeral Home.

Sandra Lee Beacraft
COBLESKILL - Miss Sandra Lee Beacraft, 38, of Division Street, died Saturday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County, Cobleskill, after a long illness.
Born in Cobleskill, Miss Beacraft was a 1979 graduate of Cobleskill Central School and recently earned an associate's degree from SUNY Cobleskill, where she graduated with high honors.
She had worked as a library clerk at the Community Library of Cobleskill for the past several years. She was editor of the library's quarterly newsletter and was a member of the "Chat & Chew" library reading group.
Miss Beacraft was a published writer.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cobleskill.
Survivors include her father, Palmer Beacraft of East Worcester; a sister, Mary Wall of Fort Plain; and her longtime companion, Michael Breglia of Cobleskill.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Main Street.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 68 Elm St.
Burial will be in Lawyersville Cemetery, Lawyersville.

John Maley, Navy veteran, electrical engineer for GE
GLENVILLE - John S. Maley of Westwood Lane died Sunday at home after a long illness.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Maley moved to Camden, N.J., where he was raised.
He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1946 to 1948.
Mr. Maley attended Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia from 1948 until his graduation in 1950.
He moved to Schenectady in 1951 and worked as an electrical engineer in the General Electric Co.'s Gas Turbine International Division.
Mr. Maley was transferred by GE in 1955 to work at Salem, Va., where he remained until 1966. He returned to Schenectady to work for GE, where he retired in 1989.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and a former member of the Edison Club.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Maley, whom he married in 1955; three sons, John S. Maley Jr. of Newton, Conn., David C. Maley of Ithaca and Brian M. Maley of Waterford; a daughter, Penny A. Nally of Burnt Hills; and 13 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, First Street, Scotia. A calling hour will precede the Mass at the church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Mildred Chandler, 107, member of Eastern Star
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Mildred Smith Chandler, 107, formerly of Wyoming Avenue, died Wednesday at Seton Woodland Village, Troy, after a short illness.
Born in Syracuse, Mrs. Chandler was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church; the George Hope Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; and Acasia Court.
Her husband, B. Irving Chandler, whom she married Sept. 17, 1913, died in 1955.
Survivors include a daughter, June Parker of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Park View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Broadway United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Robert Williamson, manager at Knolls, GE, Guard captain
NAPLES, Fla. - Private services will be held for Robert P. Williamson, 79, of Naples, who died Saturday at home.
Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., Mr. Williamson attended St. Mary's Institute and lived in Niskayuna until retiring.
Mr. Williamson worked for General Electric Co. before retiring in 1980. He was the former manager of purchasing at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory and manager of contracts at the gas turbine department of GE. He was a member of the GE Elfun Society.
He served in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of captain. He was an assistant operation and training staff officer in the 105th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Infantry Division.
Survivors include a son, Robert Williamson of Florida; a daughter, Ann Mayer of Ballston Spa; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Albert Andrews
PORTER CORNERS - Albert T. Andrews, 58, of North Creek Road, died Saturday in Concord, N.H.
Born in Indian Lake, Mr. Andrews was a graduate of Indian Lake High School.
He served in the Air Force.
Mr. Andrews was a mechanic for 36 years for Graphics Packaging of Saratoga Springs.
He was a member of the NAPA Bowling League.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Bell Andrews, whom he married March 10, 1991; four daughters, Colleen Snyder of Porter Corners, Kathleen Welch of Harrison, Ohio, Lisa Loiacano of Austin, Texas, and Paula Carbajal of Oak Harbor, Wash.; three sons, Jeremy Andrews of Greenville, N.C., Albert Thomas Andrews Jr. of Sicily, Italy, and Gary Wallace of Hemet Valley, Calif.; his mother, Mary Sothard Andrews of Porter Corners; two sisters, Loretta Fuller of Long View, Texas, and Evelyn Parker of Bennington, Vt.; and nine grandchildren.
The service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be from 2 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date.
Contributions may be made to charity.
