Mark Douglas
PHILADELPHIA - Former Clifton Park resident Mark Douglas, 36, of Seventh Street died Tuesday at Keystone Hospice House in Wyndmoor.
Born in Albany, Mr. Douglas was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park.
He was a self-employed mechanic and also a waiter at several Philadelphia restaurants.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Catherine Lawson Kelly and James Kelly of Clifton Park; and two brothers, David Douglas of Jonesville, N.Y., and James Douglas. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. May 7 at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park.
Burial will be on May 8 in Clifton Park Village Cemetery.

Mary Favata
GLENVILLE - Mrs. Mary Y. Serapilio Favata, 77, of Saratoga Road, died Tuesday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Favata was born in Schenectady.
A sales clerk for many year, she worked at the former W.T. Grant's, Barney's and Boston Store, retiring in the mid-1970s.
Mrs. Favata worked at the General Electric Co. during World War II.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church.
Her husband of 52 years, Vincent S. Favata, died in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Robert V. Favata of Florida; a daughter, Carol J. Parisi of Charlton; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, and at 9 at St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert Conrad
CANAJOHARIE - Robert John Conrad, 74, of Maple Avenue, died Wednesday at the Palatine Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Canajoharie, Mr. Conrad was a lifelong area resident.
During World War II, he served with the Army Air Forces.
For many years, Mr. Conrad worked for Beech-Nut in the gum and strained foods departments before retiring in 1985 from the shipping department. Concurrently, he was a part-time deputy sheriff for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.
He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Fort Plain.
Mr. Conrad was also a member of the Air National Guard Squadron and the Smith-Schultz American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Von der Born Conrad, whom he married Nov. 27, 1954.
Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego St., and at 11 at St. James Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial with military honors will be in Sts. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, during which the American Legion will conduct a service at 7.

Sabina R. Myers
EAST GREENBUSH - Mrs. Sabina R. Myers, 89, of Rosewood Gardens died Tuesday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.
Born in Watervliet, Mrs. Myers was a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy and Catholic Central High School. She lived in Watervliet until moving to Cohoes in 1962. She moved to the nursing home two years ago.
She worked for the D&H Railroad before her marriage and was later employed by the Albany County Department of Social Services in Cohoes from which she retired.
Mrs. Myers was communicant of St. Patrick's Church while residing in Watervliet.
She was the widow of John C. Myers.
Survivors include two sons, Gerard P. Myers of Chesapeake, Va., and Martin A. Myers of East Point, Ga.; a daughter, Kathryn Kirsch of Castleton; a sister, Sarah A. Strong of Cohoes; and two grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, and at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Watervliet.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Colonie.

Valteina LaBounty
BALLSTON SPA - Mrs. Valteina LaBounty, 77, of Fairground Avenue died Tuesday at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Glens Falls, Mrs. LaBounty lived in Keeseville before moving to Ballston Spa in 1951.
She was a secretary for LaBounty Refuse Service for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
Mrs. LaBounty was a past regent of Court St. Mary, Catholic Daughters of America.
She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Mrs. LaBounty was a member of the Ballston Spa Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard G. LaBounty; a son, Leonard G. LaBounty of Ballston Spa; a brother, Richard Bell of Schenectady; two sisters, Christina Leamy of Ballston Spa and Beatrice LaBounty of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Ave., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.

William A. Cary
CHRISTMAS, Fla. - William A. Cary, 79, of Cupid Avenue, formerly of Valley Falls, N.Y., died Sunday at home after a brief illness.
Born in Johnsonville, N.Y., Mr. Cary was a truck driver for the Grand Union warehouse in Waterford for more than 15 years before retiring.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Coonradt Cary, whom he married June 15, 1940; three sons, William E. Cary of Valley Falls, John R. Cary of Jacksonville and Kenneth R. Cary of Buskirk, N.Y.; two daughters, Doris Lee Salisbury of Charlton, N.Y., and Nannette Palmer of Schaghticoke, N.Y.; three sisters, Frances Farina and Edith Lucarelli, both of Mechanicville, and Beverley Fossett of Stillwater; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chase Funeral Home, 173 Main St., Schaghticoke.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Millertown Cemetery, Johnsonville.

Willy Willendrup, manager of GE's DC motor section
SCOTIA - Willy P. Willendrup, 81, of Country Fair Lane, died Feb. 12 at home after a long illness.
Born in Aarhus, Denmark, Mr. Willendrup lived in Copenhagen until 1958, when he moved to Schenectady.
In Copenhagen, he attended Gamel Hellerup Gymnastik Skole and Den Polytekniske Laereamstalt (Royal Technical Academy), where he earned a master's degree.
While living in Denmark, Mr. Willendrup worked for A/S Titan as an electrical design engineer for traction motors used by Danish State Railway System. He was in charge of this unit and also was a violinist with Titan's company orchestra from 1944 to 1958.
For 25 years, Mr. Willendrup worked in the large generator and motor division of the General Electric Co., retiring in 1983 as manager of the DC motor section.
During his career at GE, he designed large motors and generators for industrial and rolling mill power. He was a member of the engineering team that developed the present Class F mill motor and generator design. As senior design engineer, he prepared the electro-magnetic design standards for the Class F designs and conducted further component standardization through the years. He also was a consulting engineer on DC national standards (NEMA, IEEE).
Mr. Willendrup also served as a liaison engineer for DC motor and generator matters with GE's overseas affiliates, including those in Japan and Brazil. As manager of the DC Design Unit, he participated in design work, application decisions, and standardization. He also participated in various training courses, including the Professional Employee Management Course.
He was a member of the IEEE Working Group on the revision of IEEE-133, 1985, "Test Procedures for Direct Current Machines."
After retiring, Mr. Willendrup was a senior consultant for REM Technologies and Encotech Engineering.
He was a member of the Danish Ingenior Forening (DIF Danish P-E Society); Danish Brotherhood in American (DIF, H.C. Orsted 191); GE Elfun Society; a life member of the IEEE Society and GE Pensioneer.
Mr. Willendrup was a member of the Lutheran Church of Denmark.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Willendrup; and a sister, Ethel Steen-Jorgensen of Copenhagen.
A service will be at 2 p.m. May 8 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Route 50, Glenville.
Burial will be in September in Vestre Kirkegaard, Copenhagen.
Visitation will follow the service at the church parlor.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Research at Albany Medical Center.

Anthony Giovanone, 77, owned the Empire Dental Laboratory
SCHENECTADY - Anthony Giovanone, 77, died Tuesday in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mr. Giovanone was born in Sorra, Italy, and moved to Schenectady when he was 4 years old.
He was a graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School, where he set records as a cross-country runner. He attended Syracuse University.
He was stationed in Oakland, Calif., during World War II and served with the Naval Dental Corps as a dental technician.
Mr. Giovanone was proprietor of the Empire Dental Laboratory in Schenectady for 47 years, until his retirement. He moved to Florida in the late 1980s.
He was a member of the National Board of Certified Dental Technicians and editor of the industry's national magazine for more than a decade.
Mr. Giovanone was former president of local 4th district, Dental Laboratory Guild; and a former president and state delegate of the National Dental Laboratory Association. He also served on the executive council of he National Association of Dental Laboratories.
As a youth, he served Mass at St. Anthony's Church. He was a member of St. Helen's Parish.
He was cross-country coach at Bishop Gibbons High School in the mid-1970s.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Nolan Giovanone; three daughters, Mary Smith, Kathie DeGennaro and Angela Cullam, all of Schenectady; a son, Michael Anthony Giovanone of Schenectady; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. May 7 at St. Anthony's Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice program.
Arrangements were by the National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.

Anna Turcins
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Anna Turcins, 96, formerly of the Stonequist Apartments, died Friday at the Maplewood Manor, Ballston Spa.
Born in Ludza, Latvia, Mrs. Turcins came to this country in 1949 and settled in this area.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Jack J. Turcins of Middle Grove and Robert Turcins of Porter Corners; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Armer Funeral Home, 39 E. High St., Ballston Spa.
Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Aurelia Sullivan
RENSSELAER - Miss Aurelia Gloria Sullivan, 78, died Friday at Rosewood Gardens Nursing Home, East Greenbush, after a short illness.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., Miss Sullivan lived in Rensselaer most of her life.
She was a graduate of Van Rensselaer High School; a 1942 graduate of The College of Saint Rose; and the New York State Teachers College with a master's degree.
Miss Sullivan began teaching elementary school at St. John's Academy in Rensselaer. Subsequently, she taught at School 24 in Albany; the Winchendon, Mass., School; and the East Nassau Elementary School. For most of her teaching career, she was at School 2 in Troy, before retiring.
She was a member of the Troy Women's Club, the Business & Professional Women's Club, the Illium Literary Club, and the Thursday Morning Club.
Miss Sullivan was also a communicant of and a religious education teacher at St. Joseph's Church.
Survivors include a brother, Ferrin T. Sullivan of Averill Park; and a sister, Pamela Sullivan Murray of Troy.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., and at 10:30 at St. Joseph's Church, where a Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
