REX A. “BUDDY” FULLAM, JR., 84, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Buffalo VA Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born February 2, 1920 in Montpelier, VT, the son of Rex A. and Mary (Tewksbury) Fullam.
He owned and operated three successful businesses in Wellsville; Rex Photo Service, Rex Advertising, and Rex Office Supply. During WWII, he served in the Army, earning the Bronze Star for bravery. Rex attended the Yorks corners Mennonite Church.
Rex is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene; 4 sons: Rex III (Donna) of Stony Creek, NY; Roger of Wellsville; Randall (Wendy) of Ohio; Robin (Madelene) of Harrisville, NY; 2 daughters: Roxanne (Henry) Jedraszczak and Rena (Greg) Coryell of Florida; a brother: Everett of Florida; 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as “Buddy-Buddy” to his grandchildren and all his “little friends”.
He was predeceased by a son: Robert, a grandson: Michael, and a sister: Virginia Robertson.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Wellsville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with his son, Rev. Rex A. Fullam III and Rev. Eugene Miller presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville with full military honors. Memorial suggestions include the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226.

Richard C. Ball, of 289 East Dyke Street, passed away Monday January 26, 2004 at Jones Memorial Hospital. He was born April 7, 1922 in Portville to Ruthven and Ethel Coast Ball. In August of 1946 he married The former Patricia Temple who survives him.
Dick was a member of the St. Josephs Church in Scio. He was a 37 year employee of Air Preheater and owned and operated the Harley Davidson motor cycle shop in Wellsville for 11 years. After his retirement he worked for the Office For the Aging in Belmont.
Dick served in the US Army from 1941 to 1945. He had participated in the Battle of the Bulge, earned 7 major battle stars and was awarded a bronze star for outstanding bravery.
Surviving beside his wife: 3 sons R. Michael Ball of Placerville, CA; Thomas C. Ball of Fairbanks, AK. And Stephen T. Ball of Scio; 2 daughters Barbara E. Teter of Elma and Teresa Anne Vida of Gardnersville,NV. 8 grandchildren; He was predeceased by a brother Donald J. Ball.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 30 at 11am in St. Josephs Church in Scio with Rev. Dennis Mancuso Celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Andover. Memorials may be made to the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps or to The Office For the Aging in Belmont. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home.

Richard J. Hannigan, 88, formerly of 2885 Robbins Court, died Sunday August 10, 2003 at the Tender Care Nursing Home in Traverse City, MI. He was born on May 25, 1915 in Wellsville the son of Frederick and Ella (Reynolds) Hannigan. On June 14, 1941 he married Minnie A. Reed in Belmont, NY who predeceased him in 2001.
Richard is a former resident of the Thousand Island Park, NY. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and retired from L.B. Finewood Construction Company in Rochester. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. (C.C.C.) working in Almond and Red House. Richard was also a member of the Teamsters Local 389 in Rochester.
He is survived by 1 son, Roger Hannigan and 1 daughter, Dorothy (Willie) Kye of Traverse City, MI, 5 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by 1 brother, George Hannigan and 1 sister, Ida Hannigan.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday August 13, 2003 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow visitation at 2:00 pm. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Lee Williams presiding. Burial will be in the McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette, PA. Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps. or the American Cancer Society.

Robert A. Fullam, 46, of 3442 Baldwin Road, died peacefully surrounded by his family at 2:26 pm Tuesday August 5, 2003 at the Wellsville Highland Healthcare Center. He was born on February 26, 1957 in Wellsville, the son of Rex and H. Irene (Ennis) Fullam Jr. He will be sadly missed by his very special friend Elaine Baldwin of Wellsville.
Robert was raised in Wellsville, was a 1975 graduate of Wellsville High School and while serving with the U. S. Army he attended the Computer Learning Center in Springfield, VA. From 1982 to 1989 he was employed as an area Manager for Southern Tier Pizza Hut. In 1990 he opened and operated Papa’s Restaurant in Wellsville. His career with Norstar Bank in Wellsville began in 1990 and continued with Building Technology Engineers Inc. of Boston, MA. who provided the Building maintenance for Fleet Bank. During this time he earned a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning from Monroe Community Collage. Finally, in 2000 he was employed by Building Controls & Services Inc. of Tonawanda, NY until he was disabled by A.L.S.
Surviving in addition to his parents and his special friend are 2 daughters; Amanda Fullam of Wellsville and Jeanne Fullam of Jamestown, 6 sons; Patrick and Timothy Fullam of Jamestown, Bradley Keefer of NJ, Brian (Jennie) Keefer of KS, and Lionel and Julian Baldwin of Wellsville. Also 4 brothers; Rex (Donna) Fullam III of Stony Brook, Roger (Misako) Fullam of Spain, Randy (Wendy) Fullam of Dayton, OH, and Robin (Madelene) Fullam of Harrisville, 2 sisters; Roxanne (Henry) Jedraszczak of Altamonte Springs, FL, Rena (Greg) Coryell of Orlando, FL and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by a nephew, Michael Fullam in 1976.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville. The funeral will be on Saturday August 9, 2003 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Miller presiding. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville. Memorials can be sent to the A.L.S. ROBERT C. HAYES, 83, of 79 Early Street passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Jones Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1920 in Wellsville, the son of Edmond "Mike" and Helen (Leggitt) Hayes.
Robert was a life long resident of Wellsville. He served in the US Marine Corps in the European Theater of Operation from 1941 to 1945 on the heavy cruiser the USS Tuscalusa. He was a self employed contractor and a member of the Lynch Burkett Post 397 of the American Legion in Andover.
He is survived by a special friend: Mary O’Donnell of Wellsville and her family: Jean and Mickey Baker of Wellsville, Pat O’Donnell of Andover, and their families.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville from 9:30 to 10:30 am, followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Rev. Dennis Wolf as celebrant. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville. Memorial suggestions include the Immaculate Conception Church Memorial Fund.

ROBERT J. “BOB” GEE, 65, of 3486 Van Ness Lane, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2004 at McAuley Manor in Hornell. He was born on March 22, 1939 in Wellsville, the son of Douglas and Beatrice (Greenan) Gee. On June 30, 1962 in Wellsville he married Annie Allen who survives.
Bob attended Immaculate Conception School and Wellsville High School. He retired from the Air Preheater Maintenance Department.
He was a life member of the Emerald Hook and Ladder. He was also a former social member of the American Legion and the Survivors Club at Air Preheater. He enjoyed being home and in the flower gardens.
In addition to his wife Annie, Bob is survived by 1 son: Edward “Eddie” Gee of Wellsville; 2 daughters: Tracey Jackson of New Canaan, CT, Tina (Dale) Taylor of Bolivar; 4 brothers: James (Marion) Gee of Quartzsite, AZ; Douglas (Anita) Gee of Wellsville, Gerry Gee of Wellsville, Roger (Deb) Gee of Wellsville; 2 granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Wellsville. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 11am in the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Wolf presiding. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA Serving Allegany County.
