William Donald Joyce
A Mass of Christian Burial for William Donald Joyce, of Wellsville, who died Oct. 31, will be at noon, Saturday at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Andover. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the home of James and Helma Joyce, 839 State Route 417 in Andover. Rev. Fred Fingerle, celebrant. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Andover. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the home of James and Helma Joyce.

CLAIR R. HULSE
STUARTS DRAFT, Va. - Clair "Ron" Rodney Hulse, 59, of Stuarts Draft, Va., died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 10 1941 in Andover, the son of the late Clair and Edna Baker Hulse.
Ron was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed all sports and was a self-employed contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Crane Hulse; two sons, Brian H. (Lisa) Hulse of Dooms, Va. and Rodney C. Hulse at home in Virginia; two daughters, Tammy H. (Thomas) Campbell of Fishersville, Va. and Jenny H. Isaksen of Waynesboro, Va.; four brothers, Gordon Hulse of Singers Glen, Va., Lyle Hulse of Zephyrhills, Fla., Lawrence Hulse of Portville, and Gary Hulse of Broadway, Va.; one sister, Gertrude I. Cole of Wellsville; nine grandchildren, Alisha Garrison, Cierra Hulse, Kari Isaksen, Joshua Blackburn, Seaton Underwood, Emily Underwood, Nash Vernon, Chris Isaksen and Josh Isaksen.
A service was conducted April 4 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Services by Pastor Jeff Griffith with burial following in Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Josh Blackburn, Jeff Helmick, Scott Isaksen, Josh Isaksen, Seaton Underwood and Thomas Campbell.

HOPE HULSE
ANDOVER -- Hope Hulse, 86, of 16 East Ave., died Saturday (Feb. 2, 2002) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.
She was born Oct. 30, 1915 in West Union, N.Y., the daughter of Leon and Hope Ward Horton.
She was married to Willard Hulse, who predeceased her in 1976.
Hope attended Wellsville High School and had lived most of her life in Greenwood.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Andover Blessed Sacrament Church, the West Greenwood Grange, St. Mary's Altar & Rosary Society of Rexville, the Andover Senior Citizens and Greenwood Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three sons, Howard (Patricia) Hulse of Greenwood, Burdette (Patsy) Hulse of Greenwood and Leo (Patricia) Hulse of Hornell; a daughter, Barbara (Calvin) Graves of Wellsville; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister, Mary (Roy) Krenzer of Olean.
There will be no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral mass at the Andover Blessed Sacrament Church on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gene Ulrich of St. Brendan's Church of Almond officiating.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Andover.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Andover Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 726, Andover, N.Y. 14806 or to the Blessed Sacrament Church, 1 Church St., Andover, N.Y. 14806.
Arrangements are by the Mulholland-Swan Funeral Home, Inc., of Andover.

Hope Hulse
A memorial funeral mass at the Andover Bless Sacrament Church for Hope Hulse, of Andover, who died Feb. 2, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Andover Blessed Sacrament Church. Rev. Gene Ulrich of Almond officiating. No prior calling hours will be held. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Andover.

DOROTHY HANKS HOLLOD
PASADENA, Texas -- Dorothy Hanks Hollod, 87, of 904 Westfall Ave., Pasadena, Texas, died Saturday (Oct. 20, 2001) at Bay Shore Medical Center in Pasadena.
Born April 8, 1914 in Friendship, she was the daughter of Dean and Evelyn Graham Hanks.
On May 23, 1958 in Pasadena, Texas, she married Peter J. Hollod, who died July 13, 1987.
Dorothy was a former resident of Wellsville, moving to Pasadena in 1958.
Surviving are two sisters, Marion Dudley of Bath and Edna Weinman of Wellsville; one brother, Frederick Hanks of Friendship; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and there will be no prior visitation.
Rev. Joseph Vatter will officiate at the service.
Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville.

PAUL F. HEPKER
WELLSVILLE -- Paul F. Hepker, 56, of 207 Farnum St., Wellsville, died Tuesday (Oct. 2, 2001) at his home.
Born Oct. 16, 1944 in Wellsville, he was the son of Francis and Wilma Thomas Hepker.
Paul was a 1963 graduate of Wellsville High School. He worked as a tool and dye maker in Rochester and later went into the Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam from 1965 until he was wounded and spent several months in St. Albans Veterans Hospital.
He was later employed at Worthington Corp. in Wellsville.
He had graduated from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, W.Va. in the early 1970s.
He was a member of the Allegany County Vietnam Veterans Organization.
He also was a life member of the Marine Corps League Raider Detachment.
Paul was a life member of the Morrison Hayes Post 702 American Legion of Wellsville, Frank B. Church Post 2530 in Wellsville and the Wellsville Moose Lodge 601.
Survivors include his stepmother, Marquerite Hepker of Olean and several cousins.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., Wellsville. Friends are invited to a graveside service, with full military honors, at 2 p.m. Friday at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the Allegany County Vietnam Veterans Organization, in care of Matt Zwiefka, 273 Farnum St., Wellsville.

Paul F. Hepker
A graveside service, with full military honors, for Paul F. Hepker, who died Oct. 2, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsville.

CHRISTIAN WILLIAM GORENFLO
WELLSVILLE -- Christian William Gorenflo, 88, died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday (Nov. 24, 2001) in his home in the McGeordan Apts., with his oldest daughter at his side.
He was born Oct. 9, 1913 in Buffalo, the son of Oscar W. and Hattie Boldt Gorenflo.
In 1969 he and his family moved to Wellsville where until his retirement in 1978 he was employed at the Worthington-Turbodyne Corp. where he worked on various manufacturing assignments.
On May 3, 1947 in Mahwah, N.J., he was married to Lily F. Mellors, who predeceased him on Jan. 4, 1993.
He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church of Wellsville.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Kenimer of Wellsville and Christine (Charles S.) Henck of Bethesda, Md.; grandchildren, Stephanie and Alison Henck of Bethesda, Md.; and also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, N.Y. Rev. Ralph Groskoph of the Allegany County Episcopal Ministries, officiating. Burial to follow in Acacia Park Cemetery.

Christian William Gorenflo
Services for Christian William Gorenflo of Wellsville, who died Nov. 24, 2001 will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda. Rev. Ralph Groskoph officiating. Burial to follow in Acacia Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville.
