JOSEPH A. AMBROSELLI
WELLSVILLE - Joseph A. Ambroselli, 83, formerly of 99 Howard St., Wellsville, died Monday (April 30, 2001) at Olean General Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1918 in Olean, he was the son of Sam and Maria Pavone Ambroselli.
On Nov. 8, 1941 in Olean, he married Shirley Horn, who predeceased him Aug. 17, 2000.
Joe was a graduate of Olean High School, had served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operation. After the war he was employed by Clark Brothers in Olean until his retirement in 1983, following 38 years of service.
He was also a part time employee of Pfuntner Sales & Service in Wellsville for many years.
He resided at Eden Heights in Olean for the past year.
Surviving is one brother, John Ambroselli of Rochester; four sisters, Josephine Pezzimenti of Texas, Rita Comberiati of Warren, Pa., Gilda Gangemi of Olean and Clara Waskow of California; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, James Ambroselli and one sister, Angelina Palmer.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., Wellsville. There will be no prior visitation.
Rev. Richard Flaherty, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
PAUL J. AIKEN
WELLSVILLE -- Paul J. Aiken, 67, of Railroad Avenue, Wellsville, died Monday (Sept. 3, 2001) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.
Born June 26, 1934 in Ellwood City, Pa., he was the son of Harry and Ada Mae Shaffer Aiken.
On June 26, 1967 in Franklin, Pa., he married Delores "Dee" Evans, who survives.
Paul served with the U.S. Army from April 1954 to April 1957.
He had been a resident of Wellsville since 1988 and at the time of his death, was employed as an Industrial Engineer at Dresser-Rand in Wellsville.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Paul J. "P.J." Aiken of Ellwood City, Pa.; four grandchildren, Shaun Paul, Melissa Mae, Bobbi Jo and Amanda Leigh Aiken; two brothers, Ronald Aiken of Ellwood City, Pa. and Bob Aiken of Pittsburgh, Pa.; five sisters, Colleen Ross of Cranberry, Pa., Eva Joyce Hogue of New Castle, Pa., Shirley Rae Starr of Newton Falls, Ohio, Carol Wygel of Trenton, N.J., and Mary Louise Kriegisch of Zelienople, Pa.
He was predeceased by one sister, Marjorie Turner and three brothers, Theron, David and Harry Aiken.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Glen Layfield, minister at Scio Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
