MARIE J. JACOBS
WELLSVILLE -- Marie J. Jacobs, 83, formerly of 152 Pine Street, passed away on Monday (October 4, 2004) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1920 , in Philadelphia, Pa, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Shorts) Joyce. On Feb. 11, 1956, she married John Jacobs who predeceased her on Mar. 15, 1985.
Marie was a former resident of Florida and Philadelphia moving to Wellsville in 1997. She was employed as a as a member of the Wellsville Senior Citizens and enjoyed activities with her friends at the Senior Center.
She is survived by two sons, John (Myra) Jacobs of Chaffee and Ed (Tammy) Jacobs of Germantown, Tenn.; one sister, Jean (John) Madison of Philadelphia; two grandsons, Michael Jacobs and Michael Jacobs; one great-grandson Elijah Jacobs; and a very close cousin, Eleanor Parker of Philadelphia.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., in Wellsville. The funeral will follow visitation at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Mancuso, presiding. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.,
Memorial suggestions include the Wellsville Senior Center or the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

FILLMORE -- Harriet E. Brigham of 69 South Genesee St., died Sunday (Oct. 21, 2001) in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw, after a long illness.

VELMA WESTLAKE
WHITESVILLE -- Velma Westlake, 82, of 652 Main St., Whitesville, died Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2001) at her home.

ALAN M. CLINE
WELLSVILLE -- Alan M. Cline, 49, of Manor Hills, Wellsville, died Sunday, (Oct. 21, 2001) at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.

MARGUERITE E. PIATT
ANGELICA -- Marguerite E. Piatt, 75, of 8 East Main St. passed away Sunday (Oct. 20, 2001) at the Hornell Gardens.

RICHARD D. ROESKE
WELLSVILLE -- Richard D. Roeske, 74, of 2226 Hallsport Road passed away peacefully on Tuesday (May 27, 2003) in Jones Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

BARBARA J. DEAN
ANDOVER -- Barbara J. Dean, 60, passed away peacefully Monday (May 26, 2003) at home following a lengthy illness.

CHEYENNE LI LEONARD
WELLSVILLE -- Cheyenne Li Leonard, the infant daughter of Daniel Leonard and Bonnie Tyler, passed away at birth on Friday May 23, at Jones Memorial Hospital.

PEARL C. BAKER
ST. LOUIS, MO. -- Pearl C. Baker, (Claire) 90, formerly of Alfred and Wellsville died Saturday (May 24, 2003), fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church.

MARY ALICE FULLER
WELLSVILLE -- Mary Alice Fuller, 95, a resident of Highland HealthCare Center in Wellsville, formerly of Scio, NY. died Friday (May 16, 2003) in Wellsville.

CLIFFORD C. GREEN
WELLSVILLE -- Clifford C. Green, 87, passed away Sunday (May 11, 2003) in the Highland Healthcare Center.

ELIZABETH LYNN "FERRARO" HURLBURT
KNOXVILLE, TN. -- Elizabeth Lynn "Ferraro" Hurlburt, 15, passed away Sunday (May 11, 2003).

FRANK E. RANDALL
A memorial service for Frank E. Randall, formerly of Wellsville, who died Sunday (February 16, 2003) will take place at 11 a.m. May 17, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church, Maple Avenue, Wellsville.

RUBY J. VanGORDER
WELLSVILLE -- Ruby J. VanGorder of 120 Maple Avenue, died at home on Wednesday (December 3, 2003).

Dr. CHARLES S. GIBSON
MONUMENT, Colo. -- Dr. Charles S. "Sid" Gibson, 92, of Monument, CO, died on Thanksgiving Day (November 27, 2003) at Penrose Hospital after a brief illness and two previous heart attacks. His wife, Rita, all five of his children and extended family were at his side as he passed just after noon.

DORIS H. YOUNG
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Doris H. Young, 97, died Saturday (November 29, 2003) in Newport Beach, where she had lived for the past eight years.

VINCENT J. HELMHOLD
WELLSVILLE -- Vincent J. Helmhold of Helmhold Road died Tuesday (December 2, 2003) at Jones Memorial Hospital.

JOE "AL" HAMILTON
ANGELICA/WELLSVILLE -- Joe "Al" Hamilton, 85, formerly of 76 Brooklyn St., passed away Friday (November 28, 2003) at the Wellsville Manor. Born in Ulysses, Pa. May 31, 1918, the son of Joseph L. and Roxey Bartoo Hamilton, he had resided in Angelica many years before moving to Wellsville 10 years ago. Al had been a previous member of the Angelica Masons' Club.

SHARON L. FREER
ALMA -- Sharon L. Freer, 53, of 1100 White Hill Road, died November 17, 2003, in Fairmont, W.Va., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

HARLEY L. STURDEVANT
ALLENTOWN -- Harley L. Sturdevant, 82, of 2026 Allen Road, Allentown, died Saturday (November 29, 2003) at home following a lengthy illness. Born November 17, 1921, in Scio, he was the son of Ralph and Neva Crooks Sturdevant. He married Emmojean Clark on August 26, 1948 in Scio. Mrs. Sturdevant survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 9th Tank Battalion of the European theater during World War II. Mr. Sturdevant received the American Campaign Medal, Bronze Star and the World War II Victory Medal.

ANDOVER -- Althea M. Phelps, 85, passed away Thursday (November 27, 2003) at Highland Health Care, Wellsville, following a lengthy illness.

WELLSVILLE -- Ethel I. Jordan, 100, of 160 Seneca Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (November 26, 2003) at the Wellsville Highland Health Care Center.

FLORENCE N. "Flo" Schrlau
WELLSVILLE -- Florence N. "Flo" Schrlau, of 202 Maple Ave., died Sunday (November 23, 2003) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
