Jankoski, Evelyn R., 83, of Jamestown, died May 11, 2000.
She was born July 6, 1916 in Sherman, a daughter of William and Smith Mills.
Surviving are her husband, M. Richard Jankoski, whom she married Aug. 11, 1963; two sons: Samuel J. and Timothy Marchiando; two daughters: Marcia Greenwood and Jeanne Long.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ted, Herman and Cliff Mills; and three sisters: Gladys Devlin, Esther Crawford and June Robinson.
Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Vibbert, Cecil E., 79, of Jamestown, died May 10, 2000.
He was born June 13, 1920, in Shawmut, PA., the son of Giles and Loeuna A. Bundy Vibbert.
Surviving are two daughters: Mary Ann Taylor and Lena Webb; and a sister, Ruth Bundy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Cantafio Vibbert; a brother, Chester Vibbert; and a sister, Lillian Raynor. Interment was in Sunset Hill Urn Garden Columnbarium.

Carris, Arthur B., 67, of Ripley, died May 9, 2000.
He was born March 17, 1933, son of Kathryn Fralick Carris and the late Lloyd Carris.
Surviving are his mother; a daughter, Daphne Carris; a son, Art L. Carris; and two sisters: Virginia Parisi and Phyllis Bayly.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Y. Gordon Carris, whom he married May 7, 1963 and who died Feb. 22, 1985.
Burial was in Quincy Rural Cemetery.

Bailey, Ellen T., 78, of Warren, died May 10, 2000.

Canaley, Larry J., 89, of Falconer, died May 10, 2000.
He was born Dec. 13, 1910 in Sicily, the son of Peter and Amelia Alessi Canaley.
Surviving are a son, Larry A. Canaley; two daughters: Lauritta Franco and Sandra Dispenza; and a sister, Grace Sirianno.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva M. Johnson, whom he married March 5, 1934 and who died Nov. 15, 1985; four brothers: Sam, Anthony, Joseph and Henry Canaley; and a sister, Mary Fruscione.
Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Propheter, Ronald R., 68, of Ashville, died May 8, 2000.
Surviving is a brother, Kenneth Propheter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Propheter.

Anderson, Vivian Mae, 84, of Warren, died May 7, 2000.
She was born Aug. 4, 1912 in Snow Shoe, PA., the daughter of Asa Waid and Ada Mae Eidell Craft.
Surviving are two daughters: Nancy Repine and JoAnn Gibson Bonner.
Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Falls Creek, PA.

Webber, Henrietta H., 89, of Portland, died May 3, 2000.
She was born Nov. 5, 1910 in Blasdell, the daughter of Edward and Emma Sattler Wolfe.
Surviving are two daughters: Barbara Cunningham and Joan Miller; two sons: the Rev. James Webber and John Webber; two brothers: Clyde and Robert Wolfe; and a sister, Delores Clark.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Karl H. Heil; her second husband, J. Harold Webber; and a sister, Virginia Costa.
Burial was in Buffalo.

Luce, Marlene E., 69, of Randolph, died May 9, 2000.
She was born March 26, 1931, daughter of Inez Pickard Jamer and the late Randolph Jamer.
Surviving are her mother; two sons: John R. and Thomas R. Luce; a daughter, Helen M. Anderson; two brothers: Randolph Jamer, Jr. and Roderick Jamer; and a sister, Helen McPhail.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband, Jack R. Luce, whom she married Feb. 12, 1955 and who died Nov. 4, 1997.
Burial was in the Randolph Cemetery.

Carlstrom, Elva M., 90, of Ripley, died May 8, 2000.
She was born Sept. 11, 1909 in Akeley, PA, the daughter of Jonas and Mary Erickson Venman.
Surviving are four sons: Aner, Levi, Paul, and Lorn Carlstrom; and four daughters: Elta MacElroy, Vida Vicary, Ruth Ostrom, and Beth Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Axel T. Carlstrom, whom she married Dec. 7, 1927 and who died in 1970; five brothers: Edwin, Leonard, Edward, Ernest, and Conrad Venman; and five sisters: Ebelyn Wilcox, Bessie Nelson, Marie Rogerson, Elsie Hagstrom and Vida Petersen.
Burial was in Frewsburg.

Matha, Norman W., Jr., 51, of Warren, died May 7, 2000 in North Warren.
He was born April 30, 1949, son of Mildred Heim Martha Filger and the late Norman W. Matha, Sr.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers: Nicholas L. and John H. Matha, Sr.

Cardot, Earl O., 88, of Arkwright, died May 8, 2000.
He was born Feb. 24, 1912 in Arkwright, son of Arthur and Ada Billings Cardot.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Frances Ball Cardot; and one daughter, Virginia Cannon.
Burial was in Burnham Hollow Cemetery.

Butts, James Andrew, 69, of Roanoke, VA, died May 5, 2000.
He was born Nov. 18, 1930, the son of the late Horace and Augusta Christensen Butts.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Carr Butts; a daughter, Kathleen VanStry; three sons: Jeffrey K., Master Sgt. David J., and Christopher A. Butts; and two sisters: Genevieve Mattison and Doris Allenson.

Boreck, Miriam R., 67, of Jamestown, died May 9, 2000.
She was born July 5, 1932, the daughter of William H. and Ruth F. Hazlett Williams.
Surviving are her husband, John Borek, whom she married July 5, 1955 in Portage; and five daughters: Jacqueline Murray, Sheryl Boreck, Michelle Pacheo, Miriam George, and Tina Stauski.
Burial was in Lake View Cemetery.

Slocum, Thomas Jennings, 82, of Gerry, died May 11, 2000.
He was born March 21, 1918, son of Jesse Thomas and Hazel Jenning Slocum.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, June Young Hessler Slocum; and a daughter, Hazel Gillett.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ila Rennells Slocum, who died Feb. 12, 1987; and a son, Thomas J. Slocum, Jr.
Burial was in the Gerry Cemetery.

Rassmussen, Carl A., 74, of Mayville. died May 10, 2000.
He was born Nov. 15, 1925 in Jamestown.
Surviving are a son, Rod A. Rassmussen; three daughters: Sandra MacDonald, Kathy Franclemont, and Kelley Bailey; five sisters: Marie Buchler, Dorothy Grisanti, Lola Oplanek, Susie Hand, and Maryann Lounsbury; and four brothers: Don Philbrick, Chet Philbrick, and Douglas Philbrick.
Burial was in Warren.
