Joseph F. Musso
FREDONIA - Joseph F. Musso, 75, of 88 Prospect St., Fredonia, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in his home.
He was born April 24, 1924, in Jamestown, the son of Samuel and Fanny Musso. A veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II, he worked in the draw wire department of AlTech Corporation in Dunkirk, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of St. Anthony Church and the American Legion Post 59 of Fredonia.
Surviving are his wife, Sally R. Ortolano; two daughters: Sally Jo Wright of Fredonia and Deborah Saddler of Erie; and five grandchildren: Stephanie and Kelly Saddler, Leigh Ann, Kristi and Jason Wright.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Arasma Consiglio. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 11 p.m. in St. Anthony Church on Saturday. The Rev. C.J. Westfield, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sheridan. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia.

Edward C. Dudenhoeffer
WARREN - Edward C. Dudenhoeffer, 66, of Warren, formerly of Youngsville, North East and Erie, died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in his home following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Erie, the son of the late Edward P. and Frances Anthony Dudenhoeffer. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during the Korean War.
He was employed as a truck driver for Phoenix Transportation for 10 years and was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Geitner Dudenhoeffer, whom he married Feb. 12, 1955; four daughters: Mary Alice Holcomb of Monongahela, Pa., Ann Walsh of Edinboro, Pa., Rose Marie Stapfer of Warren and Rebecca Dudenhoeffer of Orlando, Fla.; two sons: Edward Dudenhoeffer Jr. of Jamestown and John Dudenhoeffer of Youngsville; two sisters: Marian Pitetti and Rita Torok, both of Erie; and 11 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Bauer, pastor of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Saybrook, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Warren, 2 Crescent Park, Warren, Pa., 16365.

John David Glady
WARREN - John David Glady, 70, of 124 Oak St., died at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 21, 1999) in Hamot Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Bradford, the son of the late Frederick and Myrtle Shine Glady. A Warren resident most of his life, he was employed by the Warren State Hospital for 40 years.
He was a member of the Joseph Warren Lodge No. 726, the Zem Zem Shriners, American Legion Post 135, Coudersport Consistory and Warren Police Auxiliary.
He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Pauline Zerbe Glady; two daughters: Patricia Hudak and Barbara Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; a sister, Burlis Valarius of Bradford; and a brother, Norman Glady of Bradford.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Violet and Gladys Glady. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today in the First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Marcus Briggs will officiate.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service today in the church. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, Pa., 16505. Arrangements are by the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home.

Clayton Ralph Miller
CATTARAUGUS - Clayton Ralph Miller, 83, of South Street, Cattaraugus, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999).
He was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Cattaraugus, the son of Earl and Nellie Ruper Miller. A veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army, he was a truck driver for Wooster Trucking in North East, Pa., and Loblaws in Buffalo.
He was a past member of the Roberts Memorial Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Scott D.L. Miller of Scio, N.Y.; two daughters: Cheryl A. Mallen of Otto and Melissa J. Reid of Cattaraugus; six grandchildren: Rebecca Ellis, Hannah Reid and McKenzie Reid, all of Cattaraugus, Paul and Sarah Hebner of Rochester and Jordan Miller of Scio; one brother, Sidney Miller of Cuba; and two sisters: Joyce Harvey of Cuba and Eunice Berry of Friendship.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jean Grey Miller, whom he married April 15, 1944, and who died Oct. 18, 1985; and two brothers, Albert Ray Miller and Howard Miller. The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Roberts Memorial Free Methodist Church. The Rev. Sebastian Propero, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Liberty Park Cemetery, Cattaraugus. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Roberts Free Methodist Church, 111 South St., Cattaraugus. Memorials may be made to the Roberts Free Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Hills Chapel, 55 S. Main St., Cattaraugus.

William Booth
WESTFIELD - William Booth, 72, of Cass Street, died Wednesday (Jan. 26, 2000) in his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Pittsburgh, the son of the Adalaide Lanz Booth and the late William Booth Sr.
He was employed by WQED-TV in Pittsburgh as a cameraman.
The son of a prominent Pittsburgh attorney, he was schooled in Pittsburgh and attended Yale University. He moved to Chautauqua Institution in 1980 and made his home there.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed the TV show Jeopardy. He enjoyed jazz music and was a regular at the Chautauqua Amphitheater until his health failed. His passion was golf, in which he excelled, as was evident by his many plaques and trophies.
Surviving are his mother of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Cynthia Jennings of Key Largo, Fla.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Home Wood Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Family members will officiate.
No visitation will be observed.
Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua Golf Club, Chautauqua, N.Y., 14722.
Arrangements are by MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield.

John R. Gilligan
GREENHURST - John R. Gilligan, 91 of 3816 North St., died at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 26, 2000) in WCA Hospital.
A lifelong area resident, he was born Dec. 24, 1908, in Jamestown, the son of Joseph and Lavinia Norton Gilligan.
He attended schools in Jamestown. Earlier he had been employed as a carpenter with various construction companies in the area and for 10 years at the former Watson Manufacturing He retired in 1974.
He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed big-game hunting.
Surviving are a son, Richard "John" Gilligan of Greenhurst; two daughters: Sue Blair of Greenhurst and Sally Lyons of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Denise Balog of Holiday, Fla., Gary L. Fellows Jr. of Brooklyn, Jill L. Riggle, Joy L. Lyon and John Lyon, all of Jamestown; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Julie Cullen and Mary Dahlbeck; his stepfather, Leon Simmons; and a stepbrother, Sheldon Simmons.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Dr. Edward Lindsey, pastor of the Levant Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Fluvanna Cemetery.
No visitation will be observed.
Memorials may be made to the Fluvanna Fire Department.

Arthur LeGrande Chambers
MAYVILLE - Arthur LeGrande Chambers, 85, of 29 Evans St., died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in his home.
He was born April 28, 1914, in Buffalo, the son of Arthur L. and Isabelle McMahon Chambers.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S Air Force from 1941 to 1945, and worked for the Office of the Aging as coordinator for the ombudsman program.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville, William L. Travis American Legion Post 493 and the Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post 8647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a volunteer at Westfield Hospital and Hospice Chautauqua County.
Surviving are eight daughters: Patricia Kalish of Sunnyvale, Calif., Judith Chambers of Portland, Ore., Jane Chambers of Mayville, Anne Chambers of Cincinnati, Molly Offermann of San Francisco, Sarah Chambers of Orchard Park, Bridget Sukys of Euclid, Ohio, and Melissa Wymer of University Heights, Ohio; four sons: A. Andrew Chambers of North Palm Beach, Fla., William Chambers of Westfield, Robert Chambers of Northampton, Mass., and Charles Chambers of Buffalo; 24 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Harriette Chambers.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mayville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Freay Funeral Home, 139 S. Erie St., Mayville. Memorials may be made to the Mayville Fire Department Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2, Mayville, N.Y., 14757, or Hospice Chautauqua County, 188 S. Erie St., Mayville.
