Theodore S. DeVore
TUCSON, Ariz. — Theodore S. ‘‘Ted’’ DeVore, 87, of 10 Maguire Ave., formerly of Falconer, died Saturday (Jan. 5, 2000). He was born Oct. 5, 1913, in Youngsville, the son of Samuel and Ethel Connelly DeVore. He attended Falconer High School and, after moving to Arizona, was employed by Douglas Aircraft and later by the Tucson Unified School District for many years, until retirement. He always looked forward to his yearly visits "back home." Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Frances Hodge DeVore; two daughters: Janice Martin and Patricia Penta; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren, all of Tucson. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. A private family service was held in Tucson.

Linnea S. Klang
Linnea S. Klang, 88, of the Lutheran Social Services, formerly of Jamestown and Largo, Fla., died at 6:18 p.m. Friday (Feb. 4, 2000) in WCA Hospital. She was the widow of Gust A. Klang. Arrangements will be announced by the Falconer Funeral Home.

Rosalia M. Michael
Rosalia M. Michael, 87, formerly of 303 W. Fifth St., died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 3, 2000) in the Hultquist Infirmary. A native of the Jamestown area, she was born June 4, 1912, in Ellicott, the daughter of Leonard R. and Myrtle Chapman Huckelberry. She attended Ross Mills and the Falconer School System and was a graduate of the Jamestown School of Nursing. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at WCA Hospital, Hillside Nursing Home and Heritage Village. She was a member of Christian Mission Alliance Church. Surviving are two sons: Leslie Michael of Jamestown and Robert I. Michael of Almond, N.Y.; two daughters: Hazel Britt and Gladys Riechard, both of Lakewood; 10 grandchildren: 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Vivian Peterson of Heritage Green and Kathryn Fuller of Jamestown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig "Lug" R. Michael, whom she married Oct. 15, 1929, and who died March 13, 1994; a son, Leonard Michael; an infant daughter; a granddaughter, Cheryl AnnMarie Michael; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Alberta F. Michael. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. H. Wayne Eppehimer, pastor of Christian Alliance Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ross Mills Cemetery.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Christian Alliance Church, 1011 W. Third St., Jamestown, or Lutheran Social Services, 715 Falconer St., Jamestown.

Florence Elizabeth Anderson
PALMYRA, Pa. — Florence Elizabeth Keller Anderson, 82, formerly of Dunkirk, died Wednesday (Dec. 8, 2000) in her home. Born in Sheffield, she was the daughter of John and Mabel Alling Keller. A 1934 graduate of Sheffield High School and Grove City College, she had been employed by the former Knox Glass Company and played in the company band. In 1940 she moved to Dunkirk where she and her husband operated a five acre grape farm for 20 years and was also employed as a bookkeeper. After moving to southeastern Pennsylvania in the mid 1960s, she was employed by H and R Block, later establishing her own tax preparation business in her home and also did volunteer tax preparation for the Hershey chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. She was a member of the Fredonia School Board in the late 1950s and early 1960s, helped oversee construction of a new high school and was active in the Parent Teacher Association. She was a also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First United Methodist Church in Annville, Pa. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and the violin. Surviving are three sons: Dale Anderson of Buffalo, Thomas Anderson of Mesa, Ariz., William Anderson of Highland, Mich.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Anderson, whom she married May 21, 1938, in Sheffield, and who died in September 1998. A memorial service will be held Sunday in Palmyra.

Monica Ann Veres
CONEWANGO — Monica Ann Veres, 20, of 4976 Route 241, Conewango, died Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2000) in her home unexpectedly. She was born August 25, 1979, in Jamestown, the daughter of Debbie Karshney Booth and the late Theodore Veres. She was a graduate of the Randolph Free Academy, where she was active in their animal horse therapy program. She had competed in horse shows and was active in the annual Randolph Children’s Home Show. She loved riding horses, was an avid reader and talented drawing artist. Surviving are her mother of Conewango with whom she made her home, four brothers: John Booth of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Christopher Veres of Conewango Valley, William Booth of Kennedy and James Booth of Conewango; her grandparents: Helen Marsh of Randolph, and Kenneth and Joyce Booth of Conewango Valley. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert A. Booth, July 21, 1999; and her grandparents, William and Ethel Marquette. The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. The Rev. W. David Peter Noves, pastor of the Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sample Hill Cemetery in Randolph. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Thomas F. Mock
WARREN — Thomas F. Mock, 59, of 108 Oak St., died Monday (Jan. 3, 2000). A Warren resident the past several years, he was born June 22, 1940, in Pittsburgh, the son of Irene Mock Halloran and the late Edward Mock. Surviving, besides his mother, is one sister, Irene Shannon of Pittsburgh. A memorial service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the Conewango Towers. Father Jack Bauer will officiate.

Josephine Cammarata
Josephine Cammarata, 91, of the Chautauqua County Home, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2000) in Brooks Memorial Hospital. She was born June 16, 1908, in Anita, Pa., the daughter of the late Salvatore and Nancy Mistretta Cammarata. Surviving is a brother, Joseph A. Cammarata of Fredonia; and a sister, Grace Kunecki of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Philip and James Cammarata; and a sister, Laura Panebianco.A private family service will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The Rev. Patrick Fernandez, parochial vicar of St. James Catholic Church, will officiate. No visitation will be observed. Arrangements are by Hubert Funeral Home.

Danny C. Olson
GREENHURST — Danny C. Olson, 70, of High Acres, died at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2000), in his residence. He was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Jamestown, the son of the late Algot and Agnes Larson Olson. Prior to retirement, he operated the meat department at Alms in Greenhurst and later Loblaws. He was also a meat cutter for the former Fluvanna Super Duper. He was a member of the National Guard.He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are two daughters: Ricki Krulish of Olean, Gayle Williams of Greenhurst; five grandchildren: Carrie and Brent Williams of Greenhurst, twins, Jennalyn, Arianne and Emalee Krulish, all of Olean; and one brother, Roy Olson of Jamestown.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Olson in 1981. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Dayle Keefer, pastor of the Fluvanna Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
