Priest, George Williams, Jr., 74, formerly of the South Dayton area, died Jan. 23, 2000 in Rawleigh, NC. He was born Oct. 6, 1925, the son of George and Iva Holsted Priest, Sr. Surviving are four sons: Kenneth, Clifford, John and Harold Rumsey; two daughters, Janet Gurtze and Margaret Wooley; a brother, Herbert Priest; and two sisters: Gladys Pickero and Wilma Newcomb. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Marie Priest; and three brothers: Morris, Walter, and Allan Priest. Burial was in Villenova.

Fryberger, Larry L., 58, of Silver Creek, Died Jan 8, 2000 in Irving. He was born July 30, 1941, the son of the late Francis and Blanche Detwiler Fryberger. Surviving are his wife, Linda Clark Fryberger; two sons: Scott and Todd Fryberger; and three sisters: Esther Roth, Clara Ann Landers, and Linda Dietz. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Fryberger. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

Pilato, James V., 101, died Jan. 23, 2000. He was born April 13, 1898 in Sicily, the son of Philip and Beatrice Pilato. Surviving are his wife, Antonia Lena Valvo Pilato; three daughters: Beatrice Antonuccio, Janette Roses and Ann Marie Cohen. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Salvatrice Guarnieri, Josephine Pilato and Concetta Bonecher; and three brothers: Lewis, Victor, and Angelo Pilato. Burial was in Falconer.

Irwin, Alfreda Locke, of Chautauqua, died Jan. 22, 2000. She was born March 16, 1913, the daughter of the Rev. Alfred C. and Nellie Hess Locke. Surviving are a son, Thomas M. Irwin; and five daughters: Elizabeth Becka, Susan McCabe, Margaret and Ruth Irwin, and Rebecca Robbins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest B. Irwin; and a sister, Rowena Haggman. Burial was in Chautauqua Cemetery.

VanEvery, Walter H., Jr., of Jamestown, died Jan. 21, 2000. He was born July 15, 1924 in Lakewood, the son of the late Walter H., Sr. and Jane Simmons VanAvery. Surviving are his wife, the former Sarah Mazzone; two sisters: Dorothy Bush and Donna Lindstrom; and three brothers: Roger, Richard, and Gordon VanEvery. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Kays, Richard J., of Warren, died Jan. 22, 2000 in Montifore Hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1930 in Erie, the son of Mary E. Kays and the late Harold Hays. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons: James, Jetty, and Timothy Kays; and a sister, Marilyn Ciprich. Burial was in Wrightsville Cemetery.

Seymour, Jon B., 55, of Mayville, died Jan. 19, 2000 in his home.

Garlow, Adina M. Eckstrom, 92, formerly of Busti, died Jan. 22, 2000. She was born July 22, 1907 in Sweden, a daughter of F. Hjalmer and Ida C. Nelson Tulen. She is survived by a son, Darwin Eckstrom. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin A. Eckstrom; her second husband, Peter J. Garlow; a son, Lawrence E. Eckstrom; a sister, Freda Overberg; and a brother, Berger H. Tulen. Burial was in Sugar Grove.

Samuelson, Ralph F., 88, of Jamestown, died Jan. 23, 2000. He was born Jan. 17, 1912 in Jamestown, the son of Fred and Nellie Malmquist Samuelson. Surviving are his wife, Helen Erickson Bedient Samuelson; two sons: Brian and Dennis Samuelson; two daughters: Gayle D. Lyon and Karyn E. Okwelund; and a sister, Sylvia S. Hedstrom. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Graham Samuelson. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Anderson, C. Arthur, 90, died Jan. 23, 2000. He was born Apr. 9, 1909, the son of Axel and Matilda Nicholson. Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Nelson; two daughters: Linda Fellows and Janet Meissner; and three sisters: Virginia Reed, Helen Ramsey, and Louise Huddleston. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Reiff, Ione Drake,90, of Fredonia, died in Chautauqua County Home. She was born Jan. 26, 1909, the daughter of Paul J. and Ione Johnston Drake. Surviving are two sons: Jonathan D. and Daniel Reiff. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Norman, Johnny and Donald Drake; and a sister, Patricia Drake Shepherd. Burial was in Granville.

Pasquerette, Yolanda D., 86, of Warren, died Jan. 22, 2000 in Warren. She was born Aug. 13, 1913, the daughter of Joseph S. and Theresa Comberiati Brindis. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Louise Zaffino; and a brother, Matthew Brindis. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Pasquerette; and three sisters: Rose and Elizabeth Liotti, and Julia Brindis. Burial was in Warren.

Tarr, Richard Vaughn, of Ashville, died Jan. 21, in his home. He was born Mar. 26, 1932, the son of Rachel Tarr Moneysmith and Carl Richard Tarr. Surviving are his wife, the former Wilma Wagner; two sons: Charley and Andrew Tarr; two brothers: Samuel and Jerry Tarr; and a sister, Carol Hogan. Burial was in Lake View Cemetery.

Dietrick, John W., 75, of Hamburg, died Jan. 19, 2000. He was the son of John and Ella Patterson. Surviving are his wife, Cornelia M. McCormick Dietrick; a daughter, Judith Crandall; and five sons: John III, Mark, Joel, Paul and Thomas Dietrick; a sister, Monica Conrad; and a brother, Robert Dietrick. Burial was in Hamburg.

Ingham, Doris E., 83, died Jan. 12, 2000. Burial was in Quincy Cemetery.

Blair, Cora Mitchell, of Warren, died Jan. 21, 2000. She was born Feb. 23, 1900, the daughter of Thomas and Maude Reynolds Mitchell. Surviving are a son, Dick; and a daughter, Nancy D’Angelo. In addition to her paents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Blair; and a sister, Imogene Brown. Burial was in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
