Lawrence, Vera I., 86, formerly of Ellington, died Feb. 15, 2000.
She was the widow of Fitz Lawrence.
She was born in Gerry Feb. 26, 1913, the daughter of Richard H. and Jennie A. Merritt Hare.
Surviving are a son, Fitz R. Lawrence; and a daughter: Linda A. Johnson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Eileen Wachter and Elaine Lawrence; two sisters: Stella Hopkins and Hattie Rhodes; and seven brothers: Rollo, Joseph, Hoyt, Richard, Rex, Peter, and John Hare.
Burial was in Ellington.
McGilvray, Daniel John, Jr., 71, of Great Valley, died Feb. 16, 2000 in Olean.
He was born July 19, 1928, the son of Agnes Filakofsky McGilvray, Sr.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Caroline E. VanSciver McGilvray; a son, Daniel John McGilvray III; a daughter, Jennette M. Kent; a brother, Richard McGilvray; and a sister, Mary Grace Privatier.
Burial was in the Village of Cattaraugus.
Olson, Isabel C. Watt, 96, of Warren, died Feb. 14, 2000 in Warren.
She was born Oct. 31, 1903, the daughter of Thomas Dean and Esther McCellam Watt.
Surviving are a daughter: Donna Smith; a brother, Thomas Watt; and a sister, Alma "Dolly" McLaughlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Carl Olson; three brothers: Charles, William and Oliver Watt; and two sisters: Margarete and Helen Watt.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Groh, Francis M., 79, of Lakewood, died Feb. 16, 2000.
She was born June 5, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Ziastowski Wojtczuk.
Surviving are a daughter, Claudia J. Cook; and two sons: John R. and Kenneth J. Groh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Groh; a brother, John Wojtczuk; and two sisters: Helen Lentz and Florence Seitz.
Burial was in Parkville, MD.
Brewster, Paul E., 76, of Sheffield, PA, died Feb. 18, 2000.
He was born Mar. 11, 1923 in Weedsport, the son of Harris and Elsie Dolph Brewster.
Surviving are two sons: Rodney and Terry Seeley; and two daughters: Linda Denslow and Sherry Keppler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Olive G. Ferry.
Burial was in Veterans’ Circle of Lake View Cemetery.
Engert, Ellen Peterson, 84, of Barker, NY, died Feb. 18, 2000 in Medina.
She was born Sept. 17, 1915, the daughter of Theodore and Hilda Lindell Peterson. Surviving are two daughters: Dorothy Baehr and Joan Martin; two sons: William and the Rev. Richard Engert; a sister, Ruth Frass; and two brothers: Eric and John Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Engert; five brothers: Elmer, David, Arthur, and Richard Peterson; and a sister, Edith Simmons.
Burial was in Newfane.
Belec, Joseph, Sr., 92, of Olean, and formerly Little Valley, died Feb. 16, 2000 in Rochester.
He was born Sept. 12, 1907, the son of Franc and Ursula Poglajen Belec.
Surviving are five sons: Roy Shaul, and Joseph, Michael, Paul, and Daniel Belec; and three daughters: Lonnie Gold, Patricia Bergstrom and Susan Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lucille Ruth Holtz; a son, Terrence Perkins; and three sisters: Jean and Frances Belec and Mary Casey.
Burial was in Little Valley Rural Cemetery.
Frank, Grace B., 87, formerly of Salamanca, died Feb. 17, 2000 in Virginia Beach, VA.
She was born Dec. 30, 1912, the daughter of John and Sophie Calkins Butler.
Surviving is a son, Lloyd Brown.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Brown; her second husband, Ivan Frank; two sons: Kenneth and Herman Brown; a daughter, Beatrice Wilder; and four brothers: James, Oliver, Robert and Henry; and a sister, Ellen.

Surviving are a sonm Dennis Shows; a daughter, Susan Roeder; two brothers; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eleanor Miller.
Bonavita, Hazel E. Fink, 87, of Youngsville, died Feb. 16, 2000 in her home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1921, the daughter of George Washington and Catherine Barber Fink.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Brower; and a sister, Ann Mullen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Bonavita, Jr., four brothers: Harry, Earl, Walter, and Clifford Fink; and three sisters: Irene Philbrick, Emma Slack, and Dorothy Tingwall.

She was born in Jamestown Feb. 26, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Sara Cairone Trusso.
She is survived by two daughters: Josephine M. and Mary Ann Triscari; and two brotherrs: Joseph and Frank Trusso.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sebastian Triscari; a son, John Triscari; a daughter, Sara Lawson; two brothers: Sebastian and Carl Trusso; and a sister, Frances Cristiani.
Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

He was born June 16, 1921, the son of A. Roger and Eva Barton Kirk.
Surviving are his wife, the former Viola Johnson; two daughters: Lynnette Attea and Mary Markham; and a sister, Doris Ann Kirk.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kirk.
Vollentine, G. Howard, 90, of Jamestown, died Feb. 19, 2000.
He was born Aug. 25, 1909, the son of George H. and Edith Folts Vollentine.
Surviving are his wife, Marge; a son, William Gregory; and a brother, Clifford Vollentine.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Pascoe; three sisters: Ellen Gleason, Irene Williams, and Lydia Caswell; and a brother, Harry Volentine.

He was born July 25, 1923 in Windsor, NY, the son of Walter R. and Viva Elsie Chase Mallery DeVoe.

He was born Aug. 17, 1920, the son of the late Forrest and Clara VanGuilder Schell.
Surviving are two sons: Forrest and Charles "Jack" Schell; a daughter, Glenna Upton; and a sister, Lois Herdendor.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Swanson; two sisters: Madelyn VanGuilder and Lillian Camp; two brothers: Charles and Wilbur Schell; and infant twins.
