He was born July 5, 1914 in Clymer, the son of Ralph and Eva Pinney Pitt.
Surviving are his wife, Frieda Vogt Pitt; two daughters: Roberta J. Russell and Lois M. Carr; and five sisters: Doris Kananen, Bernice Fardink, Phyllis Knox, Winifred Carris, and Sylvia Sprandle.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Pitt; a sister, Jean Volk; and two brothers: Donald and Howard Pitt.
Burial was in Columbus, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Yarzabek; and two brothers: Anthony and John Poweska.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Griffin.
