Schruers, Gilbert E., 83, of Clymer, died Mar. 3, 2000.
He was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Clymer, the son of John and Mary Wiggers Schruers.
Surviving is a sister, Lucy Legters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Cady Schruers; and four brothers: Clyde, Wilton, Marvin, and Kenneth Schruers.
Burial was in Holland Cemetery.

Pitt, Robert W., 85, of Cooperstown, PA, died Mar. 3, 2000 in Meadville Medical Center.
He was born July 5, 1914 in Clymer, the son of Ralph and Eva Pinney Pitt.
Surviving are his wife, Frieda Vogt Pitt; two daughters: Roberta J. Russell and Lois M. Carr; and five sisters: Doris Kananen, Bernice Fardink, Phyllis Knox, Winifred Carris, and Sylvia Sprandle.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Pitt; a sister, Jean Volk; and two brothers: Donald and Howard Pitt.
Burial was in Columbus, PA.

Yarzabek, Josephine J., 80, of Warren, died Mar. 4, 2000.
She was born Mar. 15, 1919, a daughter of William and Rose Poweska. She is survived by a daughter, Mary T. yarzabek; three sons: George J., Thomas J., and Gerald M. Yarzabek; and two sisters: Cecelia Carone and Sister M. Terese Poweska.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Yarzabek; and two brothers: Anthony and John Poweska.
Burial was in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.

Blair, Donald E., 70, of Warren, died Mar. 5, 2000 in Warren General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 18, 1929, the son of the late William and Pearl Meyers Blair.
Surviving is a sister, Dorothy Barton.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Goodman, Dorothy Capizzi, 51, died Mar. 5, 2000 in her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1948, the daughter of Florence Roland Griffin Brown and the late William Griffin.
Besides her mother, surviving are four sons: Daniel, Sebastian, Michael, and Frank Capizzi, Jr.; a brother: Wayne Griffin; and two sisters: Brenda Perkins and Robbie Roland.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Griffin.

Almquist, Emma S., 97, of Jamestown, died Mar. 6, 2000.
She was born Aug. 23, 1902, the daughter of John ans Anna Sederholm Sandquist.
Surviving are three sons: Harold, Reynold and Mark Almquist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo F. Almquist; five brothers: Everett, Richard, Wilbert, Harold and Gerold Sandquist; and three sisters: Hilma Sandquist, Flora Loomis, and Bertha Holmberg.
Burial was in Lake View Cemetery.

Lamantia, Ralph J., 78, of Jamestown, died Mar. 6, 2000, in his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1921, the son of the late Pietro and Caterina Madonia Lamantia.
Surviving are his wife, Anne Pellerito Lamantia; two sons: Ralph and David Lamantia; a daughter, Cathy Cimo; and two brothers: Peter and Frank Lamantia.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Mark, John, and Sam Lamantia.
Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Wolfe, Bernice A., 94, of Irving, died Mar 5, 2000.
She was born Sept. 23, 1905, in Canada, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Kincaid Parks.
Surviving are two sons: Lyle and Warren Wolfe; a brother, Charles Parks; and two sisters: Olive Oliver and Ruth Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wolfe; a son, Roger Wolfe; two sisters: May Dieter and Christine Bossman; and two brothers: Lawrence and Ralph Park.
Burial was in Forestville Cemetery.

Chryst, Patricia S., 71, of Daytona Beach, FL, died Mar. 4, 2000 in her home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Ralph F. and Helen J. Searle Seager.
Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Norcia and Lisa Neuhaus; a son, Clayton Chryst; and two sisters: Jean Danner and Anne Noell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Chryst, Jr.
Burial was in East Randolph Cemetery.

Smolnesky, John P., 90, of Jamestown, died Mar. 4, 2000.
He was born Feb. 14, 1910 in Lancaster, NY, the son of Peter and Mary Symack Smolnesky.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra B. Zywicki; two sisters: Eva Macko and Lillian Drappo; and a brother, Stephen Small.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eva Olanick Smolnesky; three sisters: Anna Kotansky, Mary Powell, and Alga Hamm; and four brothers: Michael Smolnesky and William, Frank and Peter Small.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Lane, Charles P., 89, of Warren, died Mar. 3, 2000.
He was born Mar. 9, 1910, the son of Orlo and Tillie Larson Lane.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Quackenbush Lane; three daughters: Karolyn Stone, C. Luanna Erickson, and Alyce Pfeifer; and a son, William Lane.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alyce A. Lane.
Burial was in Warren County Memorial Park.

Larson, Ethel H., 89, of Youngsville, died Mar. 4, 2000.
She was born Jan. 19, 1911, the daughter of the late Sam D. and Mary Leone Meed Hoskins.
Surviving is a daughter, Judith Larson Mozell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Larson; four sisters: Ruby Mann, Jessie Haldeman, Lula Peterson, and Ruth Miller; and two brothers: Homer and Dudley Hoskins.
Burial was in Ridgeway.

Lawrence, Della D., 78, of Falconer, died Mar. 7, 2000.
She was born Nov. 7, 1921, the daughter of Robert and Laura Bryant Hagstrom.
Surviving are a son, Richard Lawrence; and a brother, Raymond Hagstrom.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Wally and Rodney Lawrence; and a sister, Clara Ocoboc.
Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.

Beckerink, Mattie J., 91, of Clymer, died Mar. 7, 2000.
She was born Oct. 14, 1908, the daughter of the late Garret and Mary Seblink Boland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Beckerink; and a brother, Ray Boland.
Burial was in Holland Cemetery.

Haskell, Mitchell R., 50, of Jamestown, died Mar. 6, 2000.
He was born Jan. 19, 1950, the son of Richard and the late Mildred Emmott Haskell.
Surviving are two sons: Rudy Haskell and Brandon Bush; two brothers: Steve and Keith Haskell; and a sister, Kathy Meabon.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Lucas Haskell.
Burial was in Stockton.

Laurich, Stephen A., of Warren, died Mar. 6, 2000 in Kinzua Valley.
