Kathryn E. VanBuskirk, 84, a resident of National Lutheran Home, Rockville, Md., formerly of East Aurora and Glenwood, died on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2007.
She was born in 1923 in Erie, Pa., the daughter of the late Chester C. and Florence Gronnett Loudon.
She was the wife of the late Ramon A. VanBuskirk; mother of Scott G. VanBuskirk and Margaret Rucinski of West Valley, Beth (Fred) Harris of Wheaton, Md. and the late Barbara G. VanBuskirk; grandmother of Hadley, Heather and Anne; great-grandmother of RJ, Craig, Brian and Christian; sister of the late Martha Sutley.
Memorial services will be held on January 12 at noon at the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, Center and Main streets, East Aurora. The Rev. David Derk will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, East Aurora. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Lutheran Home, 9701 Viers Drive, Rockville, Md. 20850.

Gary D. Crumb
Gary D. Crumb, 49, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Gowanda, passed away December 30, 2007, following a long illness and stroke.
He was born and raised in Gowanda and was a graduate of Gowanda Central School. He worked for Gable Brothers Furniture Store in Gowanda, and at security in Buffalo before moving to Sarasota.
He was the son of Margaret Crumb of Gowanda and the late George Crumb Sr.; brother of his twin sister Garnetta Donavan of Springville, Mary Sternisha of Collins Center, Katherine McCurdy of Kansas, John Crumb of Avon, Ohio, Keith Crumb of Gowanda and the late Anthony, Teddy, George Jr. and Patricia Tyna; and uncle of the late Tiffany Sternisha.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gowanda Free Library or Florida Hospice of Sarasota.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Timothy Krzes of Hamburg, formerly of Springville, May 13, 2008. Son of Janet Krzes (nee Fox) and Stephen Krzes; father of Isabella and Cole; brother of Shawn (Kim) Krzes and the late Kimberly Krzes; grandson of the late Walter and Marie Fox, Stephen J. and Irene Krzes; great-grandson of Viola Baron; also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins; godfather of Ronelle Tadt; uncle of Alexandria and Madelyn Krzes. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday morning at 11 'clock from St. Aloysius Church, Springville. The Rev. Lawrence Cobel officiated. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springville. Virginia A. "Ginny" Baye (nee Marble)
Virginia A. "Ginny" Baye (nee Marble), May 16, 2008, in Tempe, Arizona, formerly of Springville, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born December 20, 1932. She was the wife of the late Lloyd G. Baye, who passed away Easter Sunday 2008; mother of Craig (Annette) Baye of Arizona and Keith (Caren) Baye of Georgia; grandmother of Jacquelin, Roxanne, Dawson and Camden; sister of Elizabeth (Robert) Barthel, Eleanor (George) Barthel, Marilyn (William) Havens and Marcia (Anthony) Pilato; sister-in-law of Janice (late Frank) Ziolko; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Angel's Cremation. Burial was in Mesa, Arizona. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, where she had been employed before retirement.
Ruth Killingbeck
A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, May 23, at 1 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church, Springville for Ruth Killingbeck, who died April 6, 2008. The Rev. Debra Wright will officiate. Burial will be at the Colden Cemetery immediately following the ceremony. A gathering of friends and family will be held following the service at Colden Lakes Resort, 9504 Heath Road, Colden. Lance Reidel
Lance Reidel, 42, of Wellington, Fla., formerly of Holland and Sardinia, suddenly on May 16, 2008. He is survived by his sons, James and Jesse of Alexander, his mother and stepfather, Linda and Bob Barnes of Springville and Sarasota, Fla.; his father, Allen Reidel of Holland; his brothers, Don and Eric; his maternal grandmother, Lois Hoch of Springville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at an undetermined date at Maplewood Cemetery in Springville.
Virginia M. Baker (nee King)
Virginia M. Baker (nee King) of Springville, formerly of Buffalo. Mother of Gerald L. Baker Jr. and Rebecca J. Musser; grandmother of Heather Lynn (Christopher) Pressing, Jessica L. (Joel) Kamats and Scott B. Musser; great-grandmother of Renee Pressing, Riley Kamats and the late Arielle Renee Pressing; sister of Lucille Bartone. Harry H. “Ted” Wiltse, Jr.
Former Springville businessman Harry H. “Ted” Wiltse, Jr., died May 3, 2008 of natural causes at his home in Naples, Fla. He was 78.
He was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Buffalo General Hospital to Harry Wiltse and Sally Lutzhoff Wiltse. He was raised in Hamburg, where he graduated from high school in 1947. He later received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo.
He married Joyce McClelland of Springville on March 15, 1950. They lived in Hamburg until 1956 when they moved to Springville and built a house on Hilltop Drive. They moved to a farm outside Riceville in 1972. They were later divorced.
He worked in sales for many years and then purchased the Springville Liquor Store in 1972. In the 1980s, he moved the liquor store to Route 219 and opened Cheap Chollie’s convenience store. He sold the business in 1994 and retired to Florida.
He enjoyed taking care of the plants on his property, playing cards on the Internet, and playing with his cats.
He is survived by his mother, Sally of Naples, Fla; his sisters, Sandra Leininger of Danville, Calif., and Wendy of Honolulu, Hawaii; his brother, Peter of Hamburg ; his son, Eric of Laramie, Wyo.; his daughters, Heidi Vacanti of Pfafftown, N.C., Kelly Pear- sall of North Falmouth, Mass., and Sally Walborn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and 11 grandchildren.
Cremation took place, and his ashes were spread on his property in Florida.

Jerome H. "Jerry" Fronckowiak of Springville, May 15, 2008. Beloved husband of Susan M. Fronckowiak (nee Sion); father of Brian J. and Ann Fronckowiak; son of Cecelia Fronckowiak and the late Harry; brother of Ann (Raymond) Zywiczynski, Barbara (Daniel) Dahl, Cathy Harris and Michael (Terrie) Fronckowiak; also survived by seveal nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday moning at 10 o'clock from St. Aloysius Church, Springville. The Rev. Lawrence Cobel officiated. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springville. Kathleen M. Ford (nee Ehman)
Kathleen M. Ford (nee Ehman) of West Valley, May 17, 2008. A Memorial Mass was held from St. John the Baptist Church, West Valley, on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Donald J. Fowler
Donald J. Fowler, 68, of Sisson Highway, Route 75, Collins, died Saturday morning, January 5, 2002, at home.
Born Aug. 13, 1933 in Collins, he was the son of the late Ralph R. and Florence E. (Potter) Fowler.
A Korean Conflict veteran, he belonged to the Eden American Legion and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Collins Center Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Fowler worked for the Labor's Union Local 210 of Buffalo for many years.
He was the father of Robert Fowler (Ann Marie Macko) of Collins, Betty Ann Cornman of Davenport, Fla., and the late Michael Fowler; brother of Mrs. Norbert (June) Farner of Perrysburg and Sally A. Castillo of Collins; grandfather of four grandsons and one granddaughter; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by the Schindler Funeral Home of Gowanda.

Wife of the late Charles Dunham; mother of Patricia (late Owen) Darling; grandmother of Robert (Wendy) Darling, Lori Darling and Catherine (Vincent) Renaldo; great-grandmother of Owen Michael, Kira, Daniel, Ryan and Randy.
