Vernita Gentner (nee Rogers), of Machias, May 8, 2004. Wife of the late Clarence Gentner Jr.; mother of Sandra L. (Gregory) Bain- bridge, Debra (Donald) Urban, Barbara (Donald) Braun and John H. (Tina) Gentner, and the late Henry John Gentner; also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister of Melvin, Ronald, Clifford Rogers, Nelda Williams, and Nancy Therault. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville. The Rev. William Kay officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville.
Ernest A. Hall
Ernest A. Hall of East Otto, age 46, May 8, 2004. Son of Betty Hall of East Otto and the late Edverdo Hall; brother of Timothy (Jean) Hall of Silver Springs, William (Cheryl) Hall of East Otto, and the late Dennis Hall; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hall was self-employed, cutting and selling firewood. He also did trucking for Empire Livestock market in Pavilion and Caledonia, and for Jim Foss in Alden. He also had worked at the plastics plant in Caledonia.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 368 West Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. Phyllis Schmitt will officiate. Burial will be in East Otto Cemetery.
Homer M. Harvey
Homer M. Harvey, age 79, of Collins, December 7, 2004. Husband of the late Jean E. Harvey; father of David (Constance) Harvey of Ransomville, Wayne (Sue) Harvey of Collins, Marcia (Bruce) Tharnish of Lawtons, Lisa (David) Kempisty of Cattaraugus, and Tina (David) Richir of Sinclairville; son of the late Gerald and Nora Harvey; brother of Vivian Bromley of Perrysburg, Lucille (Clarence) Bolander of Gulfport, MS, and the late Pauline Stoj; also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St., Gowanda. Burial was in the Collins Center Cemetery. Patricia A. O'Neil
Patricia A. O'Neil of Kinderhook, NY, age 53, died Monday, December 6, 2004 in Greenport, NY as the result of a vehicle accident. Mrs. O'Neil was a well-known physical therapist and was making her rounds when the accident occurred.
She was a consultant for EDDY Visiting Nurses Assoc. and Columbia County Nurses Assoc. She was a graduate of Griffith Institute, attended Russell Sage College in Troy, and was very dedicated to her patients. She enjoyed her family, gardening and decorating her house for the holidays.
She was the wife of Thomas M. O'Neil, mother of Craig T. O'Neil of San Diego, Calif and Michael R. O'Neil of Kinderhook; daughter of Nettie Hubbard Lilga of Springville and the late Robert Lilga; sister of David Lilga of San Jose, Calif, Michael Lilga of Richland, Wash., and Diane Lilga of Delevan.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY. The Rev. Stark Jones officiated. Burial was in the Kinderhook Cemetery.

Dorothy J. McDonough "Dottie" (nee Dufort), December 10,2004, formerly of Springville. Beloved wife of John; dearest mother of James (Melanie) McDonough, Kevin (Lynne) McDonough, Kathleen (John) Miskovski and Tricia (Timothy) Mattulke; grandmother of six grandchildren; sister of Robert (Colleen) Dufort, Carol (Al) Rand and Joan (Robert) Klock. A Mass of Christian Burial was held from St. Bernadette's Church, 5930 South Abbott Road, Orchard Park on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Katherine A. Errington
Katherine A. Errington, 84, of Fairview, Pa., formerly of Spring- ville, Sunday, December 12, 2004 at Integrated Health Services of Erie at Bayside. She was born in St. Ann's Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late William and Effie Ross McLeod. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Springville, Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. She had worked as a practical nurse and collected antiques as a hobby.
She was the wife of the late Harold Errington, who died in 1999; mother of Dudley W. (Virginia) Errington of Fairview, Pa., Bradley H. (Mary) Errington of Elyria, Ohio, and Leslie (Richard) Wilson of Milan, Ohio; sister of Isabelle (Alvin) Boll of Springbrook; grandmother of five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Eddy B. Jordan
Eddy B. Jordan of Springville, age 53, December 12, 2004, following a long illness.
He worked on the assemblyline and various other jobs at Winsmith Inc., and as an independent electrical contractor, and for the Buffalo Veterans organization. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 and was in the Reserves from 1972 to 1975.
Husband of Peggy (Marsh); father of Emily (Mark) Woodring, Eric (Karen) Jordan, and the late Jeremy Jordan; son of Marie (nee Tyler) and the late Keith Jordan; grandfather of Rebecca and Abigail Woodring, Marshal and Miranda Jordan, and the late Milinda; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Springville United Methodist Church. The Rev. David C. Derk officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville. Arrangements were made by the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville.
Laurence A. "Larry" Dedrick
Laurence A. "Larry" Dedrick, 92, of Belfast, December 7, 2004 at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Dedrick was a graduate of Delevan High School, but resided in the Belfast area for most of his life. He was also a 1938 graduate of Cornell University.
He was a member of the Belfast Methodist Church, member and past president of the New York State 4-H Club Agents Association, a lifetime member of the Cornell Agricultural Alumni Association, a member of the Belgian Horse Corporation of America and a member of the National Welch Pony Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean D. (Michael) Kramer of Ellicottville, formerly of Springville, and Mary E. Dedrick of Buffalo; a sister, Ruth Taber of Belfast; a brother, Lyle "Rusty" (Patricia) Dedrick of Summitville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons, Daniel W. Dedrick and David L.Dedrick; two brothers, Ward Dedrick and Arthur Dedrick; and a sister, Mae Holland.
Private memorial services were held at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Laurence A. William D. Westphal of Gowanda, December 10, 2004, formerly of Hamburg. Son of Mariana L. Briggs and the late Donald Westphal; stepson of Marie Grace Westphal and Robert J. Williams; brother of Sandra Ann Leverentz, Lorraine N. Hayden, Earl C. Westphal and Edith (Vincent) Langreck; also survived by four nieces and four nephews. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drive Amherst, for Dorothy E. Sheldon, age 57, of Amherst, who died December 8 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute following a short illness.
Mrs. Sheldon, the former Dorothy Euller, was a former chairwoman of the foreign language department at Lancaster High School and retired from there as a Spanish teacher.
She was the wife of Leon Sheldon; mother of Rebecca E. Roudebush of Springville; daughter of Elizabeth Euller of Amherst; sister of Judith Lamm, Pamela Perry, Michell Bedient, Gisele Stoneking and Elizabeth Reardon; grandmother of one granddaughter.

Susan K. Follman (nee Herod) of East Concord, December 13, 2004. Beloved wife of Robert C. Follman Sr.; mother of Robert C. (Shelly) Follman Jr., David Follman and Joanne S. Follman (fiance Sonny) Swartzmiller; also survived by five grandchildren; sister of the late Alfred Herod. Walker; also survived by 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; sister of Elizabeth Barnett and Gilbert Moore.
