MacLEAN - Jordon Dale, D.O. 8/10/00
August 7, 2000, age 41, in Alger Co., MI, formerly of Amherst, NY; dear husband of Ella (Choinski) MacLean; father of Jacob Ian, Luke Alan, Emily Dale, and Holly Marie MacLean; son of Beverly MacLean of Amherst, NY and the late Dr. Ian MacLean; brother of Dr. Craig (Angela) MacLean of Derby, NY, Ronald (fiancee Lisa Gaunt) MacLean of Buffalo, NY, Lori (Daniel) Bluff of Angola, NY and the late Glenn Ian MacLean. Dr. MacLean graduated from Amherst High School in 1977, from Michigan State University in 1982, and from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago in 1986. He moved to Cadillac, MI in August 1991 from Rural Kentucky, where he had practiced. Dr. MacLean served as Chief of Staff both in Kentucky and at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac, MI. He practiced at Medical Arts/Great Lakes Family Care since 1991 and served as Medical Director at Center Lake Bible Camp and Spring Hill Camp. He was a member of the Michigan Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and was Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. MacLean was a man of very strong faith and was active in Temple Hill Baptist Church. He loved his family, people, fly fishing, backpacking, camping, and his career. He was a member of the Ruffed Grouse Society and enjoyed Grouse and turkey hunting. Funeral will be held Friday at noon in Temple Hill Baptist Church, Cadillac, MI. Rev. Mark Pietscher will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac, MI. Visitation 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at Peterson Funeral Home, (231-775-3411) Cadillac, MI. Memorials may be made to Center Lake Bible Camp or the Pregnancy Resource Center of Cadillac, MI.
