Zdrojewski; dear mother of Patricia (John) Nickel, Robert Zdrojewski; grandmother of Jennifer and Caroline Nickel; sister of Lottie (late John) Glowacki, Theresa (late Leonard) Pluta, Leonard (Geraldine) Ruszczyk of Florida, Emily (Richard) Janca, late Edward (late Josephine), William (late Victoria), Eugene, Frank (Virginia) Ruszczyk; sister-in-law of the late Stella (late Alfred) Scesney, late Joseph Zdrojewski; survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service from the BARRON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3025 William St. near Union Rd., Cheektowaga, Monday 9:30 and in Resurrection Church at 10 AM. Family will be present Sunday only 2-4 and 7-9.
Miller, James
Funeral services for James Miller, a former labor leader and retired senior field representative for the New York State Human Rights Division, will be held at 1 PM tomorrow in Loomis, Offers and Loomis Memorial Chapel, 1820 Seneca St. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
Mr. Miller, 72, of 188 Pries Ave., died Saturday (Feb. 12, 1977) in Buffalo General Hospital.
He retired in February 1976 after 10 years with the State Human Rights Commission. Mr. Miller, who came to the United States from his native Scotland in 1929, had a distinguished career prior to his work for the state.
While working at the old Bliss and Laughlin Inc. steel plant in 1942, Mr. Miller was elected president of the Steelworkers Organization Committee Local 2248.
Shortly after that, he became active in the Greater Buffalo Industrial Union Council and in 1952 was elected president, a post he held until 1959.
Earlier, Mr. Miller was a steward and served on various committees of UAW Local 424 at the West Delevan Ave. Chevrolet plant and was appointed an international representative in 1943.
He was a former member of the New York State Labor Advisory Committee and the Buffalo War Council and a past chief of Stuart Clan No. 261.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Advisory Committee of the National Rivers and Harbors Congress and the New York State Committee for the White House Committee on Education.
He was on the board of directors of the Buffalo Chapter of American Cancer Society and the Buffalo Salvation Army, and served in various capacities for several other local community, labor and charitable organizations.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sarah Moffat; two daughters, Mrs. Richard Galli and Miss Janette Miller; two sons James, of Cheektowaga, and Robert; three sisters, Mrs. William Kay and Mrs. John Wilson, both of Scotland and Mrs. Margaret Thomson; a brother, Archie of Blasdell, and four grandchildren.
Klementowski, Bartholomew -Retailer
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bartholomew Klementowski, 88, a retired businessman, will be offered at 10 AM tomorrow in Assumption Church, following prayers in the Dombrowski-Czeladzinski Funeral Home, 447 Amherst St. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet, Town of Tonawanda.
Mr. Klementowski died Friday (Feb. 11, 1977) in St. Francis Home, Williamsville.
He was born and educated in Krakow, Poland, and came to this country as a young man.
He retired in 1960 and at the time was a member of the Klementowski Bros. Furniture Appliances Store, 1175 Broadway. He ran the Black Rock Liquor Store, 452 Amherst St. from 1933 to 1957 and the Sweetland Ice Cream Co. from 1934 to 1954.
He was a past president of the Grant-Amherst Businessmens Association. Mr. Klementowski organized the Polish Cadets Federal Credit Union and was it's president for a quarter of a century. He also was past president of the Polish Cadets of Buffalo Inc.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the St. Anthony Society Of Assumption Church, 435 Amherst St. and organizer of the parish Boy Scout Troop 142.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Schweickhard of North Tonawanda, and sons Joseph, Victor and Stanley of Buffalo; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
McKinley, Donald T., Stabbing Victim
Funeral services were held today for Donald T. McKinley Sr., a 55 year-old Buffalo Executive, who was stabbed Friday night in his Clarence home.
His wife, Marie, 54 who was also stabbed, was reported in fair condition in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Their son, Michael K. McKinley, 24, is being held without bail on a second-degree murder charge pending a hearing. Police said he is attempting to arrange for a lawyer.
The son was arrested Saturday on the State University of buffalo campus, where he was watching television.
Mr. McKinley Sr. was a Buffalo Division manager of the Dunlop Tire and Rubber Corp.
A native of Picton, Ont., Mr. McKinley was graduated in 1949 from the university of Buffalo. He was a member of the Metropolitan Chapel of **word missing**
Besides his wife, Mr. McKinley is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Mineo; two other sons, Donald T. Jr. and David S. McKinley, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Iris Feldt of Rochester, and a brother, Kenneth McKinley of Kenmore.
Burial was in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda
Haile, Miss Ernestine
Funeral services for Miss Ernestine Haile, 70, retired medical librarian at Millard Fillmore Hospital, will be held at 3 PM tomorrow at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
Miss Haile died Sunday (Feb. 13, 1977) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a short illness. She lived at 800 W. Ferry St.
Miss Haile graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1931, receiving a bachelor of art degree and certificate in library science.
She worked for many years as research librarian and head of the genealogy department of the old Grosvenor Library. She worked at Millard Fillmore for about 20 years before retiring six years ago.
Miss Haile was a member and past parliamentarian and historian of the Katherine Pratt Horton Buffalo Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
She belonged to First Presbyterian Church and a past president and program chairman of it's former Women's Association and president of the former Evening Club.
She was also a Republican committeeman in Buffalo's Delaware District.
