DISE - Donald Parker

Of Hampstead, NC, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington, NC. He was born April 16, 1926 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late George R. and Elizabeth Bellinger Dise. Mr. Dise graduated from Bennett High School, and then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After graduating from the University of Rochester, he worked for Niagara-Mohawk Power Corp. in Buffalo from 1950-1970 and then in Syracuse from 1970-1984, retired after 34 years of service as Senior Vice-President of Engineering and Quality Assurance and then moved to Olde Point in Hampstead, NC. Mr. Dise is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Worden Dise; three children, Kathryn D. Powell of Silver Spring, MD, Karl M. Dise (Frances) of Evergreen, CO and Christopher W. Dise (Pamela) of Manlius, NY; seven grandchildren and a sister, Dona E. Dise of Caroga Lake, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Interment will be in Salisbury, NY at a later date. In lieu, of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.

Dolan, Jr.; loving grandfather of John C. (Kimberly) Franz, Jr., Amy L. (James) Ostrowski, Megan M., Kevin M. Scully, Robert J. Dolan, Jr., Elizabeth and Jeremy Dolan; brother of Mary Agnes (James) Farrell, Margaret Dolan, Patricia (late James) Kelly and the late Peter, Thomas (Ruth) and M. Gerard (Sylvia) Dolan; also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Orchard park Chapel of the JOSEPH K. QUINN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 6170 West Quaker St. (Rte. 20A) where funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:15 and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Bernadette's Church at 10:00. Friends invited. Mr. Dolan was a veteran of WWII and a past Commander of the American Legion Hamburg Post #527 and a member of the K of C Father Baker Council #2243, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Holy Name Society of St. Bernadette's. Flowers gratefully declined. Interment in St. Vincent Cemetery, Eden, NY.
