Of Queenston, Ontario September 11, 1997 at 76 following a valiant fight against cancer, beloved wife of Marvin Melnyk; mother of Leslie Shirk of Milwaukie, Oregon, Margaret Shirk of Delmar, NY and Janet Mahoney of Baldwin, NY; stepchildren Randy and Donald of Winnipeg, Adele Vancouver; also survived by four grandsons. Dr. Jackson was born in New York City, received her PhD in Developmental Psychology from City University of New York. She taught in several colleges and universities before opening her own practice in Williamsville, NY. Dr. Jackson was active in the Psychological Assoc of WNY. Funeral service Monday, September 15 at 11 AM at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill, Hwy 20 west of Hwy 406.
