A graveside service will be held at a later date for Alice M. Scully Miller, 89, of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 30, 2001.
Wife of the late Donald A. Miller, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Wierzbic and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Quinn and Elizabeth Blesy.
Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department or Ismailia Shrine Hospital Travel Fund.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home.
Pearl Melberg
A memorial service was held Sunday (August 5) from St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ for Pearl Langendorfer Melberg, 90, of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, August 1, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. William F. Melberg; sons, William F. and Philip E. (Evelyn) Melberg; daughter, Donna Lee Melberg; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Melberg was a member of Beulah Chapter No. 176 OES.

Peter Kalosza
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday (August 4) from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Peter W. Kalosza, 47, of Hamburg, who died Tuesday, July 31, 2001.
He is survived by his mother, Josefa Kalosza; sisters, Alexandria (Arthur) Maciag and Margaret (Mark) Leggio; brother, John Kalosza; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Wlodzimierz Kalosza; and brother, Douglas Kalosza.
Mr. Kalosza was employed as a journeyman at the Ford Stamping Plant. He was a member of UAW Local #897.

Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.
Mary Ferris
Funeral services were held Monday (July 30) from the Laing Funeral Home for Mary E. Day Ferris, 79, of Eden, who died Friday, July 27, 2001.
Wife of the late Franklin W. Ferris, she is survived by her sons, James (Marsha) and Randy (Barb) Ferris; daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Hurley and Anna (Robert) Austin; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Jerald (Paula) Ferris; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Ferris was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation.
Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.
Vincent Pietrzak
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday (August 3) from Fourteen Holy Helpers Church for Vincent F. Pietrzak, 90, of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, August 1, 2001.
Husband of the late Martha Narlock Pietrzak, he is survived by his sons, Paul (Mary), Carl (Marcia) and Peter (Marilyn) Pietrzak; brothers, Aloysius Pietrzak and Charles Switalski; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
Mr. Pietrzak was a member of the Fourteen Holy Helpers Holy Name Society and Polish Solidarity.
Arrangements were made through the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home.
James Taylor
Funeral services were held Saturday (August 4) from St. Francis of Assisi Church for James W. “Moose” Taylor, 52, of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, August 1, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Miniri Taylor; sons, James II (Debra) and Scott (Melissa) Taylor; daughter, Tracey (James) Bernardoni; brother, Jeffrey Taylor; sisters, Karen (Karl) Hawthorn and Patricia (Frank) Krauza; and four grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy (James) Pierce.
Mr. Taylor was employed as a stationary engraver.

Dorothy Husarek
Funeral services were held Saturday (August 4) from the Laing Funeral Home for Dorothy P. Phelps Husarek, 86, of Hamburg and formerly of Eden, who died Wednesday, August 1, 2001.
Wife of the late Fred A. Husarek, she is survived by her brother, Robert L. Phelps; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Autumn Phelps.
Mrs. Husarek was a retired dietician at Buffalo General Hospital. She was a past grand officer of the Eastern Star, member of the Eden United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.
