Ann Mazur
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday (July 6) from SS. Peter & Paul Church for Ann F. Pakulski Mazur, 82, of Hamburg, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Mazur; son, James Mazur; and sister, Jane (Raymond) Handel.
Mrs. Mazur was employed as a food server for the Hamburg Central School District. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.
Alma Leach
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 10:30 a.m. from the Forest Avenue Cemetery in Angola for Alma L. Leach, 63, formerly of Angola, who died Friday, March 23, 2001.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Lynn Cotton and Diane Johnson; son, Jefferey Clark; and brother, Donald Boyd.
Arrangements were made through the Heimburg-Addison Funeral Home.
Samuel Wick
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday (July 20) from St. Francis of Assisi Church for Samuel J. Wick, 79, of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 16, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Luella Schneider Wick; son, Richard (Geraldine) Wick; daughter, Linda (Gary) Kravitz; sister, Marjorie Schaeffer; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Wick was employed as a postal worker until he retired in 1987. He served as vice president of Chapter 153, National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was past commander of the American Legion Downtown Post 64 and was also a member of Post 1488, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Forty & 8.
He served as an anti-aircraft gunner in Newfoundland and in the Pacific in the 209th Coast Artillery.
Burial was at Mount Calvary Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home.
Robert Collins
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday (July 20) from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Robert M. Collins, 56, of Hamburg, who died Tuesday, July 17, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Stivers Collins; sons, Robert and Joshua (Amy) Collins; daughters, Sharon (Clifford) Paterson and Stacey (David) Bell; brother, Dennis (Cheryl) Collins; sister, Tomasina Schneider; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Collins was employed as an assistant chief engineer for WGRZ-TV.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

Lillian McGaughey
Funeral services were held Thursday (July 19) from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Lillian J. Warning McGaughey, 81, of South Dayton and formerly of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 16, 2001.
Wife of the late Ralph E. McGaughey, she is survived by her son, William D. (Patricia) McGaughey; two grandchildren and one niece.
She was predeceased by her brother, William (late Mary) Warning; and sister, Mildred (late Kenneth) Saunders.
Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.
Eileen Mathes
Funeral services were held Saturday (July 21) from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Eileen M. Gaygen Mathes, 84, of Liverpool and formerly of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, July 18, 2001.
Wife of the late Harold B. Mathes, she is survived by her sons, David (Joyce) and Jeffrey (Christine) Mathes; daughter, Lynn (Thomas) Dailey; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her brother, Gordon (late Boots) Gaygen.
Mrs. Mathes was employed in the engineering department of the New York Telephone Company.
She was an active member of the choir for Trinity Episcopal Church and a past member of Sweet Adelines and also played piano at the former Seacrest Supper Club and Hamburg Hotel.
Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Thomas Stoddard
Funeral services were held Saturday (July 21) from the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home for Thomas J. Stoddard, 73, of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, July 18, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Gutenkunst Stoddard; daughters, Genevieve Stoddard and Thelma (Richard) Hornberger; son, Thomas Stoddard; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Stoddard was employed as the head custodian for the Hamburg Central School District. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Cpl. David Finger Tri-Towns Memorial Post No. 2556.
Memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center.
Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
