Ronald Held
Funeral services were held Monday (July 16) from St. Bernadette’s Church for Ronald L. Held, 60, of Hamburg, who died Thursday, July 12, 2001.
He is survived by his daughters, Andrea (fiance Michael Vujakovich) Held and Sandra (Donald) Perison; six grandchildren; aunts and uncles and other family members.
Mr. Held was a member of the Horsemens Association and U.S. Trotting Assn.
Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.
Frank Spicola
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday (July 12) from the Holy Spirit Church for Frank Spicola, 89, of North Collins, who died Tuesday, July 10, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Cardinale Spicola; daughter, Jo (Bruce) Hultslander; son, Dominic (Linda) Spicola; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
Burial was at Holy Spirit Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Wentland Funeral Home.
Phyllis Edwards
Memorial services were held Friday (July 13) from the Eden United Methodist Church for Phyllis H. Hunter Edwards, of Boca Raton, Florida and formerly of Eden, who died Sunday, July 8, 2001.
Wife of the late Thorton G. Edwards, she is survived by her son, Kurt Wittek; stepdaughters, Heather Edwards and Gale Clement; stepsons, Scott and Brett Edwards; sister, Greta Schwegler; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Mark Wittek.

Inurnment was at Eden Evergreen Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Laing Funeral Home.
Rachael Szoszorek
Funeral services were held Saturday (July 14) from the Wentland Funeral Home for Rachael Warren Szoszorek, 27, of Dayton and formerly of North Collins, who died Wednesday, July 11, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Szoszorek; daughters, Jessica and Julia Szoszorek; parents, Albert and Patricia Warren; sister, Lisa Warren; and brother, David Warren.
Burial was at Jolls Cemetery in Perrysburg.
Robert Schultz
A memorial service was held Thursday (July 12) from St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ for Robert A. Schultz, 87, of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 9, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Petzing Schultz; daughter, Sandy (Bruce) Campbell; son, Norman Schultz; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
Mr. Schultz was a member of Fraternal Lodge No. 625 F&AM and Ismalia Temple AAONMS.
Arrangements were made through the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home.
Terrance Scully
A graveside service was held Tuesday (July 17) at Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel for Terrance M. Scully, 53, of North Tonawanda and formerly of Hamburg, who died Friday, July 13, 2001.
Husband of the late Carolyn Scully, he is survived by his son, Ryan Scully; brothers, Bill and Bryan Scully; and sister, Maureen Scully.
Mr. Scully was employed as a manager of Anjon’s Pizzeria in North Tonawanda. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.
Harold Newman
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family for Harold W. Newman, 79, of Angola, who died Monday, June 25, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Faye W. Newman; daughter, Vicki A. Newman; son, Scot A. Newman; and brother, Edward (Lorrie) Newman.
He was predeceased by his son, Lance Newman.
Mr. Newman was employed as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Office in Angola. He was a member of the Cornerstone Lodge F&AM and the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to the Claddagh Commission.
