October 4, 1997, husband of the late Dorothy (Auer); dear brother of Thomas (Esther) Dittenhofer, Margaret Dittenhofer and the late John, Robert, Mary, Kathleen (Earl) Bylbie and Jean (Donald) Kraft; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends received on Monday (only) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the NIGHTENGALE FUNERAL HOME, 1884 South Park Ave. (near Tifft) where services will be held on Tuesday morning at 9:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 10:30. Friends invited. Flowers gratefully declined. Mr. Dittenhofer was a member of Loyal Order of Moose So. Buffalo Lodge No. 1407 and was a retiree of Republic Steel. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dowdall; loving mother of Theresa (Charles) Maurer (formerly Krnjaich), Pat Morgan-Lark, Paul (Nancy), Barbara Hering, Marge (late Harvey Becker) White, Mary Kate (Joseph) Trybus-Caputo, Bernie (Jackie), Johnny (Sandy), Jean Tracy and the late Gerald and Dolores Sausner; dearest grandmother and companion of Molly Morgan and 52 other grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister of Mary, Gertrude, Peter and the late Thomas, Edward, Gerard, Ursula and Helen. Funeral services Tuesday morning at 9:45 from the (Hamburg Chapel) of the JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd. (corner of Rogers Rd., 646-5555) and at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:30. Interment in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Friends invited. Mrs. Dowdall was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Altar and Rosary Society, Blue Army of Our Lady of the Snows, The Secular Franciscans, and a Senior Citizen Volunteer at Union Pleasant Hamburg School.
