Norma J. (nee Lyman) Kleindinst, age 72, of the City of Tonawanda, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at her residence. Born April 8, 1931, in Silver Creek, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Phyllis (nee Gunther) Lyman. She had been a resident of Tonawanda since 1976, and before that resided in Buffalo beginning in 1950. Mrs. Kleindinst was a faithful member of The Chapel on North Forest.
She is survived by four children, Charles Kleindinst of Spring, Texas, Kathi (Steven) Wollbrink of Quincy, Illinois, Judy Ann Dolce of Tonawanda, New York, and John (Linda) Kleindinst of Clarence Center, New York; and eight grandchildren, Charles Jr., and Justin Kleindinst, Jennifer, Kristi and Jason Wollbrink, Andy Dolce, and John and Ashley Kleindinst.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 13, at The Chapel on North Forest Road in Amherst. Friends are invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Glenwood Cemetery in Silver Creek. If desired, memorials to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049, are preferred by the family. Shirley A. Rafferty
Lifelong Resident of Tonawanda
Shirley (nee Eisenhauer) Rafferty, age 78, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, October 30, 2003, at her residence. Born October 2, 1925, in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (nee Slater) Eisenhauer and had been a lifelong resident of Tonawanda. Mrs. Rafferty was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the Dons and Ladies Club, and the North Tonawanda Moose Lodge Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late Martin F. Rafferty, Sr., who died in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen (Thomas) Christy; three sons, Martin (Sandra) Rafferty, Jr., Michael (Carol) Rafferty and Wayne (Susan) Rafferty; and a brother, Jerome (Patricia) Eisenhauer. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Monday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Town of Tonawanda.
Elinor M. Stark
Elinor M. Stark, age 83, of Buffalo, died Saturday, November 1, 2003, at her residence after a long illness. Born April 3, 1920, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (nee Nolan) Stark, and had been a lifelong resident of Buffalo. Ms. Stark had been employed as a typist for Erie County before retiring.
She is survived by a niece and a nephew. Also surviving are many dear friends and caretakers.
Friends may call from 2-6 PM Tuesday only at the Vandercher and Dick Funeral Home, 2549 Main Street in Buffalo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church on Parker Avenue in Buffalo. Please assemble at church. Interment will be cared for privately at Mt. Anne M. Poeller
Retired from Kenmore Mercy Hospital
Anne (nee Harper) Poeller, age 68, of Tonawanda, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Hospice Buffalo. Born September 16, 1935, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Verna (nee Laughlin) Harper and was a resident of Tonawanda for the past 40 years. Before retiring in 1982, she had been employed as a surgical technician at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. She was the sister of the late Phyllis Hodkin.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Dalton N. Poeller; her dearest son, Paul (Lynne) Poeller; and two loving grandsons, Brandon and Maxwell Poeller. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, the Rev. Irene L. Krowka
Retired Nurses' Aide
Irene (nee Burnett) Krowka, age 79, of North Tonawanda, died Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Newfane Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Born June 25, 1924, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (nee Barche) Burnett and was a resident of North Tonawanda for more than 40 years. Mrs. Krowka had been employed as a nurses' aide before retiring and then was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was the mother of the late Lisa M. Krowka, who died in 2001, and sister of the late Clifford Burnett and Genevieve Schmall.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Krowka; a son, Kevin (Helen) Krowka; a brother, Raymond (Jean) Burnett; and a sister, Shirley Reese. Also surviving are two grandchildren, John and Crystal Krowka, and many nieces and nephews.

George Grimmelt
Retired from Bell Aerosystems
George W. Grimmelt, age 96, of Lockport, died Thursday, August 22, 2002, at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Born May 24, 1906, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Mary (nee Zeis) Grimmelt. Mr. Grimmelt had been employed as a tool and die maker at the Bell Aerosystems Plant in Wheatfield, before retiring. He was the grandfather of the late George Grimmelt, Jr..
He is survived by a daughter, Diane Butler; two sons, Anthony (Marianne) Grimmelt and George Grimmelt; and six grandchildren, Anthony (Rebecca) Grimmelt, Karen (Keith) Frost, Shaun Grimmelt, Margo Kowal, and Brian and David Butler. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia (nee Barto) Westervelt, age 39, of Tonawanda, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 11, 2002. Born on December 15, 1962, in Waterloo, NY, she was the daughter of Raymond Barto and Genevieve Mahoney, and had been a resident of Tonawanda for 8 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda.
She is survived by her husband, Gary D. Westervelt; two children, Amelia Jean and Joshua David Westervelt; her parents, Raymond Barto and Genevieve Mahoney; a brother, Brian (Sherrie) Barto; and a sister, Brigette (John) Reynolds. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
