Bartel, Ruth A., (nee Wilke) age 90, formerly of North Tonawanda on Tuesday (February 10, 2004) at the St. Francis Home of Williamsville after a long illness. Mrs. Bartel was a life long member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She retired from the North Tonawanda School System where she was a cook at several schools. She was the wife of the late Carl A. Bartel, mother of the late David K. Bartel and grandmother of the late Matthew B. Armstrong.
Beloved mother of Ronald (Marcia) Bartel of Port Richey, Florida, Sharon (Dennis) Clements of Rolling Hills, California and Jean (Timothy) Armstrong of Amherst. Loving grandmother of Mark, Kris, Keith, Scott and Kevin Bartel, Ryan Clements, Brian, Scott and Kaitlin Armstrong.

Baughman, Barbara E., of North Tonawanda on Sunday (April 10, 2005) after a lengthy illness. Wife of the late LeRoy Baughman, Sr. Barbara was active in the community by helping to raise money for various charities.
Beloved daughter of Mildred Bowser of Tonawanda. Loving mother of LeRoy (Justine) Baughman, Jr. of North Tonawanda. Proud grandmother of Brandon, Tracy, Nicole, Matthew, Kristen and Natthan Baughman. Dear sister of Albert Bowser, Jr. of Tonawanda, Gladys (John) Foote of Kentucky, Ronald (Sandie) Bowser of Tonawanda, and Victoria Goebel of Monroe, NY. Brady, James K. 88, of North Tonawanda at the Veterans Hospital of Buffalo on Wednesday (November 17, 2004) after a long illness. James was a member of Ascension R.C. Church where he was a former Eucharistic Minister. As a WWII U.S. Army Air Force Veteran, he served in the Pacific Theater. James retired from Erie County as a Probation Officer. He was active in C.S.E.A. Union Affairs while employed by the County of Erie. James was husband of the late Noreen (nee Gorman) Brady.

Conlan, James Wallace, 44, of North Tonawanda suddenly, on Monday June 19, 2006 at his residence. James recently retired from the North Tonawanda Fire Department. He was a life long member of Ascension R.C. Church.
Beloved husband of Gail M. (nee Nicely) Conlan. Loving father of Krystal, Wesley, Danielle and James Conlan all of North Tonawanda. Beloved son of Jeannette (the late Thomas) Conlan of North Tonawanda. Brother of Terrence (Robin) Conlan of Lockport, Kerre (Grace) Conlan of Williamsville, Kevin ((Barbara) Conlan of North Tonawanda, Maureen (Joel) Collier of New Mexico, Patrick (Laurie) Conlan and Bridgit Conlan all of North Tonawanda. Son-in-law of Robert (Janice) and Dolores Nicely of North Tonawanda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Andres Cappellano
Andrew Cappellano, age 92, of North Tonawanda, NY died on May 3rd, 2006 at his home after a short illness, with loving care by his family, friends and Niagara Hospice. He and his wife of nearly 60 years, Josephine, were married on June 8th, 1946 at Holy Spirit Church in Buffalo, NY. His parents were Andrew and Frances Cappellano, both originally from Bangor, PA., where Andrew was born. Andrew lived in North Tonawanda for the majority of his life. He worked at Western Electric in Tonawanda where he was a millwright for 35 years. He retired from Western Electric in 1977. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served during WWII (1943-1946) at a Seaman First Class in South America. He is a registered Navy Veteran in the U.S. Navy Memorial Log in Washington, D.C. Andrew is a longtime member of Ascension R.C. Church in North Tonawanda, where he sang in the choir for many years. His favorite pastimes included his family, singing, music, cooking, golfing and yearly family reunions, as well as “playing” the stock market. He will always be remembered as a “Crooner” singing his favorite songs, “For the Good Times”, “I Wish You Love” and “Summertime”. Brother of the late Katherine Machenzie, Angeline Bruno, Thomas Cappellano , Peter Caappellano and Marion Coniglio.

Cappellano, Andrea (Mark) Duguay of Wilson, Duane (Angela Frizzbe) Cappellano, Deborah (Michael) Pellegrino and Dean (Dawn Felvus) all of North Tonawanda. Proud grandfather of Dan and Sabrina (Realmuto) Duguay of Amherst, Bernadette and Amandou Diakhate of Arizona, Melissa Giambrone, Coreen Cappellano, Amanda and Ashley Pellegrino, Chaz, Gianna and Austin Duguay, Joseph and Nicholas Cappellano, Kaitlyn, Emily, Kayla and Kendra Felvus of North Tonawanda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
