Beloved wife of 64 years of Albert C. Gielow of North Tonawanda. Loving mother of Beverly (the late William) White and Dennis (Linda) Gielow of Wheatfield. Dear sister of Matilda Voght of Wheatfield. Proud grandmother of Jason (Rene) Gielow, Michelle (Blake) Reeves, Jennifer (Paul) Kooney, Tammy White, (Tiffany (Mark) Dobbs, John White, William White, Jr., and Pamela Murphy. Also survived by five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Helen M. Ginter
Helen M. Ginter, (nee Swauger) 83 of Tonawanda died on Friday, November 18, 2005 after a lengthly illness at Schoefield Residence. Helen was born in Coalport, PA and was a resident of Buffalo and Tonawanda for the past 54 years. Helen worked at Jenss Department Store, Cramer Industrial, Columbus McKinnon and Service Steel. Daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Swauger. Sister of the late Janet Ruth Zittle, Alice Mae Jeffries, Bruce Swauger and Thomas Lynn Swauger.
Loving wife of 63 years to Boyd “Slim” Ginter. Dear mother of Joan (Michael)Shamrock and Janet (Jack) Jenkins. Proud grandmother of Michael G. Shamrock and Jack “Jay” Jenkins. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Marvin T. Goldpenny
Goldpenny, Marvin T. 75, of North Tonawanda on Thursday (January 6, 2005) at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo. Marvin was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Bell Aerospace after 41 years of service. Marvin was an expert woodworker and volunteered his services at the Herschell Carousel Factory Museum. He was a volunteer and Assistant Treasurer at the Riviera Theatre. Marvin was an avid golfer and was a loving father and grandfather.
Beloved husband of Eunice J. (Bradt) Goldpenny of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Barbara (John) Rott of the Town of Tonawanda, Diane (David) Tearce and David (Lynda) Goldpenny both of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of Valerie, Philip and Michele Rott, Matthew MacNeil and Alyssa Goldpenny.

Isaias Gonzalez
Isaias Gonzalez, Age 84, of Valrico, Florida, formerly of Buffalo and North Tonawanda. Mr. Gonzalez was a former affirmative action representative for the City of Buffalo and a founding father of Buffalo's Puerto Rican community, died Tuesday in a Brandon, Fla., hospital following a long illness. He was 84.
While in Buffalo and North Tonawanda from 1950 to 1990, Mr. Gonzalez started and hosted a Spanish-language radio show for 26 years, was instrumental in establishing Buffalo's bilingual education program, was chairman and co-founder of the community group Estudia, and was active in many other Hispanic organizations and endeavors.
His network of community contacts allowed him to help newly arrived Puerto Rican residents find housing, food, jobs, legal assistance or help dealing with government agencies.
A former dishwasher in Brooklyn, Mr. Gonzalez earned a degree from Empire State College at age 53 and personified both the difficulties and opportunities open to Buffalo's earliest Puerto Rican residents. "One of the things I'm always teaching to young people is that if I made it at age 53, you can do it today," he said in a 1985 interview in The Buffalo News.
Mr. Gonzalez was a machine operator at Bethlehem Steel and owned a grocery store at Seventh and Virginia Streets and a restaurant on Busti Avenue. He worked for the city from 1966 to 1983 as a field representative for the Division of Human Relations and an affirmative action officer for the Division of Urban Affairs.
Son of the late Justo Gonzales and Benita Soto. Brother of the late Anicasio, Ismael Gonzalez and Maria Salas.

Robert W. Grimm, Sr.
Robert W. Grimm, Sr., 87, of Pendleton on Monday (July 23, 2007) after a long illness. Mr. Grimm is a member of Good Shepherd R.C.Church in Pendleton. Mr. Grimm served as Republican State Committeeman and was Erie County Clerk from 1959 until 1975. He is past Erie County Republican Chairman. He was board chairman of the Columban on the Lake Retirement Home, and was a member of The Knights of Columbus, Catholic Lawyers Guild, The Blackthorne Club. Robert was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran where he served as an Lieutenant in the European Theater. Mr. Grimm was a founding member of Grimm & Grimm Attorneys in Buffalo (presently Magavern, Magavern, Grimm, LLP.)

Huntley, Ralph Lewis “Slim” 86, of Pendleton at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Buffalo on Monday (October 4, 2004) after a brief illness. Ralph was a WWII U.S. Veteran of the Seabees. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and the Odd Fellows of Madison, Virginia. He retired from Superior Lubricants in North Tonawanda.
