Wells, Theodore Lee “Ted” 65, of Sanborn on Friday February 3, 2006 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Ted retired from Consolidated Freightways where he worked for over 10 years. He had previously worked for Murphy Motor Freight Ted was an avid Bocce Ball player and could be found hanging out at Ressman’s Garage in Tonawanda. Brother of the late Robert Wells.
Beloved husband of Betty (nee Shaft) Wells of Sanborn. Loving father of James (Susan) Wells of North Tonawanda, Diane Wells of Tonawanda and Terry Wells of PA. Brother of William Wells of Tonawanda, Joyce Roberts of FL, Lucille Campbell of PA and Kenneth (Linda) Lowmaster of North Tonawanda. Proud Poppy of Christopher and Nicholas Wells. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Carl R. Wilhelm
WWII US Army Veteran
Carl Rudolph Wilhelm, 76, formerly of North Tonawanda of Sunday (March 14, 2004) at Newfane Intercommunity Hospital after a long illness. Carl was a WWII US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and was the Maintenance person and bell ringer at the church for many years. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Elenora Wilhelm.
Dear brother of Roy Wilhelm, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA, and brother-in-law of Virginia Wilhelm of Tonawanda. Dear Uncle of Roy Jr, Ronald, Roger (Janet) Wilhelm, Donna (Theodore) Rose, Dianna (Gil) Padilla, David, Randy and Denny Wilhelm and Regina Chambers. Also survived by 16 grand nieces and nephews.
Friends received by the family on Wednesday evening 7-9 pm at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00. The Rev. Devie Ellis, officiating. Interment will be private at White Chapel Cemetery.
John E. Williams
John Edward Williams, 81, of North Tonawanda on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Crestwood Health Care Facility after a long illness. Born in Du Bois, Pennsylvania, John was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and served in the European Theater. He was presented the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He retired from National Fuel Gas where he had worked for over thirty years. John was the brother of the late Robert Williams, Maxine Grey, Nancy Williams and Thomas Williams.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothy J. (nee Dobson) Williams. Loving father of Kerry (Arthur) Palmer of Wheatfield. Proud grandfather of Tracy, David and Robyn Palmer. Brother of Samuel (Carolyn) Williams of Falls Creek, PA.

Bernadette M. Zaplawa, (nee Horvath) age 91, of North Tonawanda on Sunday (October 24, 2004) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Zaplawa was a member of Ascension R.C. Church. Wife of the late John Zaplawa. Sister of the late Nicholas (Anna) Horvath, Anthony Horvath, James (Corrine) Horvath, and Magda (Ray) Harrington. Sister in law of the late Julius and Rose (nee Zaplawa) Fodor.
Beloved mother of Ronald (Juana) Zaplawa of San Jose, CA, Judith Arnold of North Tonawanda. Loving sister of Helen (Joseph) Kohler of Tonawanda and Julia (the late Leo) Wesolowski. Proud grandmother of Rechelle, Gerald, Jessica, Sarah, Jeremiah and Aaron. Great grandmother of Luke, Katelyn, Joshua and Isabella and Olivia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Benjamin H. Glenn
Retired from Spaulding Fibre
Benjamin H. Glenn, 82, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Wilson, NY at the Delaware Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo on Friday (February 27, 2004). Mr. Glenn was a member of Ascension R.C. Church. He retired from Spaulding Fibre and worked part time for Sentrex in Niagara Falls. Brother of the late Esther Beckett. Mr. Glenn was a decorated U.S. Army WWII Veteran. A sharpshooter with the 90th infantry whose troop stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. Ben will be receiving the Bronze Star, posthumously, on Sunday presented by the Western New York Meritorious Service Group. He was an avid weight-lifter who held the USA Masters Record for 60 and older open bench press at 303.1 pounds. Before entering the service, he worked as a farm hand on his father’s farm on Irish Road in Wilson, NY.
Beloved Husband of Sharon R. (nee Richardson) Glenn of North Tonawanda. Loving Step-father of Charles J. (Trish) Fink, Cheryl (Steven) Friedel, David R. Fink, Gerry M. Fink and Diane (Brian) Roberts. Grandfather of seven grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wesolowski, Benny, 79, of North Tonawanda on Monday January 8, 2007 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Benny was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran who served in Germany as part of the occupational force. Benny was a member of Sikora Post #1322. He retired from Exolon Corp where he worked as an Electrician for 25 years.

Loving father of James (Laurie) Wesolowski of Ransomville, Gary (Beverly) Wesolowski of North Tonawanda and Karen (Chuck) Heron of Amherst. Proud grandfather of Jennifer (David) Cronkhite, Brian, Kevin, Sara, Rosemary Christopher and David Wesolowski. Kimberly, Bradley Lindsay and Matthew Heron. Great Grandfather of Evan Wesolowski. David S. Wantz
David S. Wantz 48, of St. Augustine Florida, formally of North Tonawanda, died tragically July 19, 2006 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on July 16. He was the son of the late Richard D. and Lila M. Wantz. Devoted father of Kelli Beth Wantz and Chelsea Marie Wantz both of St. Augustine. David was the beloved brother of Gail (Ernest) Robinson of N. Plainfield, N.J., Richard Michael (Jeanne) Wantz and Jeffrey J. Wantz all of North Tonawanda. Dearest uncle to many nieces and nephews. David was also survived by Kelli and Chelsea's mom, Vicki (Buddy) Johns-Guy of North Carolina.
Family will greet friends at Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday, July 23 with a memorial service Monday morning at 11:00. Private interment will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
