Rita Voigt, 85, of North Tonawanda on Monday February 27, 2006 at the Waterfront Health Care Center. Rita was a member of St. Albert the Great R.C. Church. She was an Avon Representative and a seamstress for many years. Sister of the late Paul Calteaux, Genevieve Simons and Victorine Voigt.
For sixty-five years, Rita was the beloved wife of Raymond Voigt of North Tonawanda. Loving mother of Robert F. Voigt and Janice (Edward) Culver both of North Tonawanda. Dear sister of Benjamin (Gert) Calteaux of Strykersville. Proud grandmother of Eric (Milissa) Voigt, Joel Voigt, Amy and Adam Culver. Great grandmother of Hannah Voigt.

Anna F. Soos
Soos, Anna F. (nee Jazdzyk) 90, of North Tonawanda on Monday (October 9 2006) at North Gate Manor after a long illness. Anna was a member of Ascension R.C. Church. She was a three term Past President of the Pallottine Fathers Ladies Aid Society. Anna volunteered at the Altar Society of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and was a member of the Shoe-String Club. She also served on the DeGraff Memorial Hospital Women’s Auxiliary and the Live Hose Auxiliary. She served three terms as President of the Stephen Sikora Post 1322 Women’s Auxiliary. Anna was active in local and New York State Politics. She was Past Chair of the North Tonawanda Ladies Democratic Committee and served as a Delegate to the New York State Democratic Convention. Anna along with her husband, the late Alex Soos, owned and operated Soos’ Grill on Niagara Street from 1957 in Tonawanda. They later moved to its present location at 300 Oliver Street in North Tonawanda. The restaurant is now known as Soos’ Oliver Street Café. The restaurant has been in business for 49 years. Anna and Alex were married in February 1937 at O.L.C. Parish. Anna is the sister of the late Marion Jazdzyk, Pauline Sliowski, Gene Syposs-Jankowski, Joseph Jazdzyk and Henry Jazdzyk.
Beloved mother of Alexander (Marie) Soos,. of North Tonawanda, Thomas (Irene Whelan) Soos of Texas and the Honorable Mayor Lawrence (Linda) Soos of North Tonawanda. Dear sister of Frances (the late Frank) Kolek and Jane (the late Joe) Wrazin both of North Tonawanda. Loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Viola Louise Roggow
Viola L. Roggow (nee McMillen) 80, of North Tonawanda on Tuesday (September 19, 2006) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness under the care of Niagara Hospice, Inc.. Mrs. Roggow was born in Reynoldsville, PA to Savilla (nee Vivian) Biggie and moved to North Tonawanda as a young girl. Wife of the late Dean H. Roggow and longtime companion of the late Thomas Chittenden.
Beloved mother of Bonnie Siezega of North Tonawanda, Janet (Terry) Bronschidle of Tampa, FL, Daniel (Lauren) Roggow of Grand Island and Blake (Felica) Roggow of North Tonawanda. Dearest grandmother of Robert (Eileen) Siezega, Sandra (Thomas) Sawyer, David (Linda) Siezega, Jason (Karen) Bronschidle, Christopher (Devona) Roggow, Blake Roggow, Jr., Karen (Adam) Ross, Kelly Roggow, Brian (Rae Ann) Roggow, and Kimberly (Scott) Duscher. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Reed, James C., 60, of North Tonawanda, suddenly, on Tuesday October 3, 2006. James was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked as a mechanic for Ryder Trucks in Cheektowaga. Son of the late James E. Reed.
Beloved son of Wilma B. (nee Ball) Reed of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Shelly L. (Randall) Scott of Clarence Center. Cindy E. Moran of North Tonawanda and Thomas R. Shelby of North Tonawanda. Former husband and friend of Candace L. (nee Zellner) Reed. Brother of Sharon (Ronald) Lewis of North Tonawanda and Kevin (Karen) Reed of Jay, Maine. Proud grandfather of Alysa, Madeline and Olivia Moran. Also surviving is his loving dachshund, Samantha “Sammy” Reed.

Myers, Josephine (Josie) 85, of North Tonawanda on Tuesday January 16, 2007 at North Gate Manor. Josie was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She retired from Niagara Mohawk. She was active at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and she sang in the choir and was on the Altar Guild. Josie was an avid golfer at Deerwood Golf Course and was also a bowler.

Howard C. McCoy, 84, on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Mt. View Health Care Facility after a long illness. Howard was born in Ebensburg, PA and moved to Western New York the early 1950’s. He worked for Clover Farms and then for Harrison Radiator in Lockport. He moved to North Tonawanda in 1962. Howard was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 264 in Tonawanda. Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Illig) McCoy and father of the late John McCoy. Brother of the late John Robert McCoy.
